The vehicle while in park and with the emergency break on , popped out of gear and the ebreak failed and the car rolled down the drive with my 2 year old daughter in the car, i was getting her out and she was unbuckled when the car started to roll back, it went down the drive across the road jumped the curb and stopped short of crashing into our neighbors house. luckily my daughter held on and wasn't injured yet could have been killed. other major issues: the reverse lever doesn't work so when i go to shift into first it goes into reverse without having to pull the lever up, i have multiple times thought i was in first and started to go backwards. major safety issue. the passenger visor fell off when i put it down it just fell off, the dealer charged me $171 to reinstall, i've researched this issue and its very common in this make and model yet dodge does nothing. the interior lights no longer work. within 2 years we have replaced 6 tires, the stock wheels all had bubbles in the wheel within a year needing replace. the dealer did nothing. the car backfires when i shift, and hesitates when driving like it slipping and cant get up to speed. since owning this vehicle we have had nothing but problems and nothing is being done to assist us. we believe the dealership where we bought it new has somehow tampered with their cars so that they get more business when things break, we believe this because its our 2nd car from them and our other car was sold to us with completely rotted out sub frame which almost killed my wife and family, and the dealer knew it was bad and lied on inspection. that was replaced thanks to nhtsa, but have no assistance with this vehicle. the dealership is david dodge, in pa. our dodge is very unsafe and we are afraid to put our kids in this car even after the dealer is saying they are "fixing the problems" which we don't believe to be true

I have a 2013 dodge dart. after 2 years, the clutch suddenly stuck to the floor, the vehicle inoperable; it needed a new master cylinder. a few months later, i started noticing it sticking again, but it could be pulled out by using my foot to pop it back out. so i promptly took it to the dealer. they said everything was normal. last month, the clutch went out again. had to be towed to the dealer. now it seems they are replacing the entire clutch kit. told me the flywheel was completely burned out. and tried to blame my driving, saying the flywheel was normal when they evaluated it. no way, dodge. now they've had my car since november 16th, today being dec. 3, and it still won't be fixed until well into next week. and the rental car is out of my pocket.

Car stalled while operating under full power on the interstate. it took approx. 3 minutes and it finally restarted. took car to dealership. they state car is not part of any recall based on vin #. they state stalling was result of extremely low oil. however, the care has no leak and does not burn oil. it is synthetic oil and it simply break downs and dissipates. i don't believe them. this is the second time this car has done this and the first time they re-flashed the computer with a software patch to fix problem.

I got a recall letter for the tcm (that was a month ago.) have had my car in three times because it wouldn't start since i got the letter . had to have it towed two of the three times. was in yesterday & was told the problem is the recalled part & there is nothing they can do until i get the second notice stating the part is ready . it is a gamble every time i go to start my car as to whether or not i will be able to get where i'm going . the car has shifted into neutral on 3 separate occasions all of which has been @ a stop sign with my foot on the brake . if this isn't going to be resolved till sometime in january maybe there should be dealer cars made available for us to use . i bought a new car so i would have reliable transportation & i'm not feeling that's what i've got right now . i love my car but i'm very frustrated right now. thank you *tr

While driving on the highway in the fast lane, my gas pedal went all the way to the floor and my car lost all acceleration and steering became hard to turn. when this happened most of my car engine lights were blinking and when i placed the car in park the vehicle didn't notice it was in park. thankfully i was able to get off to the emergency shoulder. i took the car into the dealership where they told me there was a recall notice in august 26th which was just sent out to dodge dart owners. the dealership told me it would cost me 1,500-2,000 to fix the problem, money which i do not have so i traded in my car with negative equity, and the dealership, i believe was very non-professional and took advantage of the situation. they also showed me an incorrect nada price chart for the trade-in value to my car.
