I was driving on a busy highway. have a manual transmission. rpms started going up and down,like i was revving the engine,but was not pushing in gas pedal. put clutch in to get off an exit, and the clutch stuck to the floor and the car would not go into gear. left on very busy highway with a child!
The car will not start. all the lights and electrical come on when key is in, but the car doesn't even try to turn over. i already had a sensor replaced that was suppose to be the problem, but it keeps occurring. gives a warning that states autostick is unavailable, service transmission. it also keeps telling me i have a parking light out, which i don't. the car also has a brand new battery. this needs to be fixed. i am tired of wondering if my car will start when i need to get my children from school.
Airbag ' i was in an accident a few days ago. when i was hit head on, my airbags did not deploy. i also would like to put out there that my car was also totaled and when i was hit i was going 45, and the other driver was going 60. which is quite a hefty impact for a small car being hit by a lifted 2016 toyota tundra, and for the airbags not to deploy. i am going to be suing dodge.
Well my car headlight and the paneling caught on fire in my car went to car hop to advise them took the car to one of there dealers advised that they don't do electrical at the same time the recall came in advised me that a recall was needed too k it to dealership and as of now 30 days behind on the part advised carhop that the repairs have been made before i brought the car that wasn't done correctly which made me have to pay for the recall work they swear they didn't bit the state and carfax say otherwise it wasn't done by dodge in no state but by there mechanics at this time the car is dangerous to drive it's still at dodge and carhop said they will resell it to another family even though i advised them the panel caught on fire and there is a short
Car parked in driveway. start car and go to back up. shift to reverse, gear doesn't change. car doesn't move. still says it's in park. car won't shift gears.

This is for recall v34. which was issued early in the year. my wife was driving down the highway, 1 near robinson illinois to be exact and the car just stopped driving forcing her to steer onto the side of a very busy highway! this could have been very bad!!!! i find it insane that chrysler is dragging their feet on this part! my wife could have been killed!!!!! not too mention if my daughter and i were in the car when this happened. chrysler knows this part and these cars are unsafe but are not willing to do anything about it! on top of everything you want me to dish out the money to put another recalled part on my car, no thanks!! do something about this.
I was driving and the car started jerking and shifted to neutral. when turning on my car to leave work the car would not catch a gear it would just go from park to neutral, it has done this several times and has left me stranded. this has occurred 03/28/19, 08/08/19,08/10/19,08/11/19
I was pulling out of my driveway and went to shift from reverse to drive. my shift would move, but my car was stuck in neutral. i had to push my car out of the road and since it was not in park, could not completely turn it off and remove my key. i set the emergency brake and had to disconnect battery since accessories would not turn off. car was towed to dealership on 08/09/2019. per recall, the recall covers dodge dart compact cars from 2013 through 2016 with six-speed automatic transmissions. the company says a bushing can fail, causing the shifter cable to come loose from the transmission. that means when a driver shifts to park or another gear, the gear may not change and the car could roll away. parts for recall will not be available until september. dealership cannot fix at this time and manufacturer offered no assistance.
While driving the screen will randomly go completely black and then start flickering white - my dash is now doing the same, simultaneously. however, the screen lights (speed, miles, mpg, etc) stay dim to where i can't even read what is says. my speedometer and gauges will give out and then proceed to quickly flicker up and down. after about 30 seconds of this happening, the whole electronic system resets itself. this has happened 5 times within the last two days, within a maximum of 4 total hours driving time. when starting my car, it hesitates to start - it makes clicking noises prior to actually starting. the battery is fairly new as well. my center console randomly stops working, i have zero control over the radio / climate function. even after disconnecting the battery, the problem resumes. the uconnect doesn't work - no phone system, or bluetooth music. the back-up camera has completely gone out. there seems to be several issues with the dodge dart that go unsolved and are a huge safety risk.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. the contact stated that while at an intersection yielding the right of way to a pedestrian. the vehicle behind crashed into the rear of the contacts vehicle. the seat belts for the driver, front passenger and rear passenger failed to remain latched during the crash. in addition, no airbags deployed and the contact mentioned that the entire rear seat row detached causing her child seated in the rear to come in contact with the front driver side seat during the crash. the contact and her 2 children sustained whiplash injuries that required medical attention. a police report was filed. the dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was taken to a collision center where the bumper was replaced but the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to follow up with her insurance company to contact them. the failure mileage was approximately 10,155.
Was driving my 2013 dodge dart, when i went to park the shifter would move but it was not actually changing gears. i had to turn on emergency brake and turn engine off i am now unable to take key out and i had to let the battery die, the vehicle is now disabled in front of a friends house and i am unable to move it.
My shift gear is not moving at all and it causes me not to turn my car off or on. my key is stuck in the ignition also.
Dodge dart 2013 -april 2019 recall dodge dart would not shift into park and past neutral, and then it would not shift out of neutral and key could not be removed when attempting to park at a business on 06/30/2019 car was towed and left at a firestone for repairs with key still in ignition and dashboard lights remaining on in the vehicle overnight due to the neutral gear.
Recall may be the problem. car ran just fine until we shut it off waited 30 minutes trying to turn it back on and message displayed service transmission no cure found autostick not recognized. vehicle ran for 400 miles drove perfectly fine we stopped for a bite to eat for about 20 minutes and car would not start again.
I reversed vehicle out of the driveway into the street and as i was shifting into 'drive' the vehicle went into neutral. shifter moves as normal, vehicle remains in neutral. with this i am unable to turn vehicle off since it will not go into 'park.' dealerships very unhelpful saying there is nothing they can do and there will be a charge for them to even look at the vehicle. never doing business with chrysler ever again. my 2 year old was also in the vehicle, had to put the hand brakes up to stop car from moving.
V34/nhtsa 19v-293 this recall has been up for a while and i've called several dodge dealerships to get this repaired, the only answer they give me is to go on mopar recalls and type in my email to get notification when the part is available. i received a letter on may 24, 2019 stating that there is a recall but that there was no remedy and by may 31 they will contact/mail us with a follow up recall. it is june 11,2019 and there is no sign of a remedy or a solution. i drive from riverside to los angeles everyday and with this recall i'm putting my life in danger and also others lives in danger.
'tekata recall' i went to the dodge dealer shop and they stated i have a recall, and there is no resolution as of right now and they will not be able to fix right now. i have emails to prove. i read into this and it states could cause accidents. i have a baby on the way and feel something needs to be done asap! may 24 is when i found i had a recall

The shifter cable bushing on the transmission end of the shifter cable which can deteriorate and become detached from the transmission. this condition can result in the inability of the driver to actually shift the transmission, even though the driver may move the shifter handle.

My clutch has fallen to the floor. cannot shift. cannot check fluid levels because there is no access. apparently there is a wide spread problem with this vehicle and this issue but my vin is not included, therefore i am unable to get any help fixing this. first start up in the morning. clutch was fine the night before. clutch is laying against the floor, basically useless.
Vehicle will act like it shifts into neutral while driving down the road. the car is also revving up to 3rpm on its own with no gas petal being toothed. the steering column is clicking and making a scrubbing sound. mechanics can not identify a problem
Tamara recall. i was driving my dart home from work this evening when i noticed a power loss and a burning smell. once i pulled car over i realized it was on fire. fire started just by the battery. the car is a total loss.
Deck comes open when auto is in motion or sitting idle. as i was driving the deck opened wide blocking view through rear window. i closed the deck and drove home.the . the next morning the deck had opened again.

My daughter just purchased a 2013 dodge dart 4 months ago and the transmission control module has already been failing. i know several other 2013 dodge darts have had a recall for this and unfortunately my daughters car has not but is having the same issue. they wont pay for it without the recall on that vin # . i think if there is a defect on these 2013 darts they all should be recalled
There is heat that consistently emanates into the car from the area where the wiring harness or fuse box would be. i've had it looked at and mechanics continue to say that the fuse box is fine but there seems to be an issue with the harness. the problems is so bad that the heat over time has led to bad paint damage to the left side of the car. the paint is completely dull. the discoloration is beyond obvious and noticeable. the heat begins to be a problem almost immediately after turning it on.
It appears there is an alarming noise coming from the engine when i start the car at degrees lower than 40. this is an intermittent issue but when it occurs i loose power while driving down the road resulting in my rpm's to jump higher than normal accompanied by vibration and rataling coming from under the hood or tire (its hard to tell) . from my research, the cold start issue was a recall for 2013 dodge dart but it is not showing for my vin. could someone please reach out to me reguarding this complaint??
Car needs shifter cable bushings on the transmission, without the proper bushings, the transmission might not be able to be shifted, even though the shifter may show the transmission has been shifted. i called the dealership, and the fca recall assistance center and was told the new parts were not available nor did anyone know when they would be. since then, i have heard nothing though i was promised an update. meanwhile i drive the car with great fear, i have no choice but to drive it.
Car went into neutral automatically while driving , warnings signs on the instrument panel said blind spot unavailable , auto stick unavailable , gear not available then follow by a service transmission. couldn't get the car started back when i had to wait 10 mins , finally got it start back up as a result hard sifting occurred.
I purchased the car july 2017 and has been at the dealer 5 times due to problems. i had a reoccurring issue with the battery light coming up, the dealer found no issues with the battery. march 2018 the battery sign lit up followed by a slew of other signals, including a power steering lock signal, the car started shaking and the power steering locked. i was at the light making a left when this happened. i was able to pull the steering wheel hard enough to make the left and luckily found a parking lot where i could park since i was in a heavily transited area. attached is a picture i took after i was able to safely park the car. the car was towed to the dealership and they found no issues with the car, i had to pay $250+ for this. november 2018, the bluetooth does not connect, the odometer is blinking continuously and the car shakes when at a stop. the dealership has had the car for three weeks and turns out to be that the bluetooth console needed to be changed ($900+ cost), a tune up was needed 'badly' ($400+) and there was believed to be a problem with a piece of the transmission that was causing the car to shake. the powertrain warranty would cover the cost of this last issue if it was found to be that this was the problem. if it was found that the transmission part was not causing the shaking, we would need to cover the $600+ cost for the labor. we are in process of dealing this matter with a manager at the dealership, since we do not want to keep this car.

Brake booster faliure at 117k miles. when i press on break pedal, just a lot of air coming from brake pedal.
Car accelerates to 7000 rpms while attempting to pull out of a stop car doesn't move. it has happened 4 times at different intersections almost got hit from behind. dealer cant duplicate error my fear is an accident.
Car wouldn't start then when it did the gear indicator lights turned red and shifts really hard then you can shut car off and wiggle the shifter and it will start back up and run fine for a while then when sitting at a light it might go back to the red lights and start shifting hard again was told its the tcm (transmission control module) you really never know when its going to do this has done it in the middle of turns when it starts or just sitting in place

Shifting stick is stuck, the car appears to be stuck in reverse but actually is stuck in neutral, the key is stuck in the ignition and car won't turn on. day prior to this car was park all day, later in the evening it was driven for about 3-5 miles and parked without an issue. nothing was out of the ordinary until the next day when i tried to drive it again.
Windshield wipers will not cut off raining or no rain. when you start the vehicle they just run.
Car recently died. showed signs of a bad alternator- lights, sensors, radio shut down, power steering went out. replaced the alternator and the battery. drove fine for a few weeks and once again the same thing happened. i am now on alternator four and battery number three. had the new alternator and battery put on, started the car and the battery light come on. had the battery and alternator tested, both passed as long as radio and heat was not on. drove the car for about 30 minutes and the car died again like the alternator was bad except it's not because it was tested. dealership was of zero help and still can not figure out the issue. this car is a complete hazard while driving due to it dying in traffic.
I just purchased this vehicle a week and a half ago and the clutch pedal intermittently feels strange like it's sticking in some way. been driving manual cars my entire driving career (20 years). i have never felt my clutch pedal do this on any car before! upon looking online it seems this is a common and potentially dangerous issue! i love the car when the clutch pedal feels smooth and normal, however it is very alarming when it happens while driving! since this seems to be a common problem, i truly hope chrysler will issue a recall as it seems like many people have had expensive issues with the master cylinder at as little as 22,000 miles...it happens sometimes while starting the car...mostly happens randomly while driving however.
Pull into a parking lot when i went to put the car in park it would not go into parking and had to put emergency brake on trying to take the key out wouldn't let me it turn out to be the auto trans shifter linkage broke off
Vacuum pump leaking oil and a burning smell comes through the vents when brakes are pushed, also caused the o2 sensor to go bad and a/c to not work like it should. this happens when driving and you push the brakes to slow down or come to a stop.
Car shuts down while driving - battery light flashes and i am unable to accel. no power what-so-ever. this has happened (3) times once while driving on highway at speed 60mph and twice while stopping on red light
The clutch system and transmission is defective in my dodge dart. it has been extremely dangerous and has caused incidents where i will be driving down the road in third or fourth gear and it will just slip into neautral and lock up. i was going up a hill recently when it did this causing me to fly backwards down a huge hill with no brakes steering or anything. it was like something just dropped. it is becoming a huge issue as i have three children and am scared this will happen with them in the vehicle. i have read numerous other complaints about this happening in other dodge darts years 2013-2018. the transmission components are faulty. i have had it repaired and it is costly just for it to fail again and again. chrysler needs to recall the transmission and clutch systems in these and come up with a better design that is not a danger to people's lives.
In the last 4 weeks, while driving, my car has displayed a "service transmission" error and "gear not available error." the first time was on i-10 and it occurred and i had to pull on the side or the interstate. my card was in d, but it would not drive or reverse. i turned it off and tried to turn it back on, but the car would not crank same service messages above popped up. after sitting on the side of the interstate for 20 mins, i turned it back ok and i was only able to go about 30 miles per hour. i was able to get back to my hotel room. the message disappear and the engine light went off, so the dealership was unable to find the problem. yesterday, on july 8, 2018, the same problem occurred. this time i was driving on interstate 75, going about 65 mph, and the same error message popped up again. i had to pulled to the side or the interstate again, because my car would not drive. i turned it off again and waited for 5 mins and i was able to ease back to my home. as of right now, the dealership still can't find the problem. though they can't find the problems, i am seeing several owners experiencing the same issues with their 2013 models. i've found several forums explaining the same problem that i am having as well as youtube videos. can someone please get dodge to do a recall on this issue.
My clutch started to stuck to the floor and then it gave out. it was in motion when it decided to get stuck to the floor when trying to shift gears.
I was on my way to work@ 0730 hrs, traveling on i 294 n/b, at a speed of approx 45/50 mph when i heard a loud pop. as i attempted to reduce my speed, to move out of the flow of traffic, i noticed my brakes were no longer functioning. i pulled the hand break up, which did not respond, i pushed it down and pulled it up a second time, which barely slowed my vehicle, but did allow me to coast to a slow stop on the shoulder. at this time, the hood of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. i exited the vehicle and a man who had been traveling behind me, pulled over to say that he had seen flames coming from my tail pipe, before the engine compartment burst into flame. i immediately called 911. i waited in the rain for illinois state police and the fire dept to respond. state police report#il 0229900 was made upon the troopers arrival.
Takata recall my car has been saying service transmission at least 2 or 3 times a week and it will happen as i'm driving so it'll say service transmission and then i'll feel like a pull and as i start pressing on the break the engine will rev and then when i park it and turn it off and try turning it back on it won't turn back on for at least a day so it leaves me stranded 2-3 times a week or i've been on the highway and it'll do that and i try to keep going and press on the gas and it won't work it just revs so i'll be going less then speed limit while everyone else goes speed limit and has almost caused me to get in an accident at least twice. it's super dangerous for me to drive this car around and i've taken it to the dodge dealership and all they have told me was it's a safety feature my car has and they don't know why it's doing that.
