Service airbag system message displays when you start the car and drive it it does not go off
I was driving on a busy highway. have a manual transmission. rpms started going up and down,like i was revving the engine,but was not pushing in gas pedal. put clutch in to get off an exit, and the clutch stuck to the floor and the car would not go into gear. left on very busy highway with a child!
Well my car headlight and the paneling caught on fire in my car went to car hop to advise them took the car to one of there dealers advised that they don't do electrical at the same time the recall came in advised me that a recall was needed too k it to dealership and as of now 30 days behind on the part advised carhop that the repairs have been made before i brought the car that wasn't done correctly which made me have to pay for the recall work they swear they didn't bit the state and carfax say otherwise it wasn't done by dodge in no state but by there mechanics at this time the car is dangerous to drive it's still at dodge and carhop said they will resell it to another family even though i advised them the panel caught on fire and there is a short
In motion: loss of power - found oil in spark plug wells; dealership replaced well seals, plugs and ignition coil, continued to have problems; compression test was done and found all of my engine o rings were bad which would have happened at time of manufacturing. had engine replaced at 100,000 miles in motion: brakes - brake pedal will suddenly go all the way to floor and cause difficulty breaking in time. happens sporadically; no none cause stationary: electrical - car will unlock trunk instead of doors; fan knob will effect radio volume; bluetooth does not connect; happens sporadically; no none cause
My car randomly will not start thinking that it is not in park. this also causes the diagnostic electronics to go haywire. i'm told there is a bushing that will fix this problem, but dodge refuses to provide this part to my local dealer. the bushing is designed to cause the car to know it is in park so it will start. i'm also told this is a recall issue, but i received no recall notice from dodge.
Fasten seat belts light appears on dash and dings. air bag light continues to be lit. battery replaced and tested good...car doesn't start. radio loses reception. key fobik doesn't lock, unlock, remote start or panic button doesn't work to car (always did before) check engine light has come on and went off several times
My shift gear is not moving at all and it causes me not to turn my car off or on. my key is stuck in the ignition also.
Again here i am with a check engine light on and my car is bucking and unsafe!!! i will bring it in tomorrow but i bought a tool that reads codes here are the codes p0352 error ignition coil b primary/ secondary circuit malfunction. and cylinder 2 misfire unsafe to drive. this happened while driving. you just picked up the car for same thing on june 10!!!!! less than 10 days and it is acting up again. do you want me to get into a bad accident. because i am scared to death to drive my car. this is about 6th time in less than 6 months for same issues.
Dodge darts of this model year including mine have a problem with the turbocharger. problems within the setup create a "turbo underboost" condition, which prompts a check engine light, and throws the car into limp mode. this is often accompanied by a lack of power from the engine and a rough idle, or stalling at idle. in my case it happened while i leaving a city, and i did not have the power to accelerate to highway speed. after pulling over and re-starting the car, this issue is temporarily resolved. this is such an issue with this model year that there is a north america wide back-order on the new-turbo with this issue corrected. for many like me, this expense is out-pocket or for a lucky few, still covered by factory warranty. i believe that the frequency and severity of this issue warrants a recall and proper fix if the turbocharger setup. the issue is corrected on 2014+ model years, which is an indication that fca was aware of the issue.
Since march 2019 check engine light has come one 3 times. my car has either stalled in middle of intersection and/or has a bucking sensation and then check engine turns on. this is unacceptable that it keeps occurring. one time they replaced battery, next time recall v34 and again today. there has to be something going on with this model. i do not feel safe.this happens while i am driving.
I took my car in for a recall and as of may 13th i'm still without my vehicle and still having to make the payment plus insurance. i don't know when i will get my car but it has been in the shop enough times i filed for a breech of warranty but chrysler only offered me 4000 take away the 2000 for attorney fees so 2000 is what i would have walked away with. i did not accept the offer and now i'm trying to figure out what to do. my car doesn't have a remedy for the issue but it's had transmission problems since day 1 had new engine new turbo new starter new gaskets new radiator and much more and nothing has been because of neglect. i truly feel i have a lemon on my hands and need help getting into a safe car. the dealership won't do anything about it told me to get a lawyer so i did but unless we agreed on an amount they wouldn't proceed. my car is unsafe to drive and i'm trying to get a lawyer that can take care of this or help me get a safer car for me and my kids.*dt consumer stated pcm/tcm has been a recall in the past engine light being on is code p2096 which caused leak in one of the hoses.*jb *js
Recall on a transmission related safety issue , this a a bad problem but still dodge don;t have the parts to fix this problem , how could that be ?? i am still waiting to have my vehicle repaired but in the meantime i am still driving an unsafe vehicle .

Heading to work in the morning on the highway was about to merge on the off ramp slowed for traffic downshifted car was humming just fine went to up up shift car made weird noise downshifted and hummed again up shifted made weird noise again. i then went to downshift and the weird noise was there cel cam on then started blinking ad car stalled out. had it towed to a shop spent 5+ hrs there just to tell me my motor was dead. timing belt was in tack car had 120000 mile on it. oil change were down reg. and car was serviced when needed. 1.4l turbo 400 for the shop to tell me the motor was dead 4000 for a new used motor
The parking brake has failed on two occasions, once while stationary when it was at the dealership. it crashed into a car in their parking lot in 2016. the vehicle has been in and out of the dealership over the last four years. it was in the dealership in 2015-2016 thirteen times for oil leaks and the engine either dying or almost seizing while in motion. this resulted in my vehicle starting on fire in late 2016 early 2017. the repair for the fire damage was covered by my insurance company and it was subsequently fixed by a different dealership after that. more recently, it was in my driveway and rolled into my truck and damaged the front of the vehicle's bumper while stationary with the parking brake was engaged. the symptoms with the engine have also started to reappear while in motion in 3rd or 4th gear... it starts to act like it's going to completely die. needless to say, i have it back in the dealership for diagnostics. some of the recalls listed on this website sound like things i have experienced, please let me know if there is anything i can do. my time is the main thing i care about at this point and don't want to spend another 2 years endlessly in and out of the dealership. i just want a car that operates normally.
The clutch gets stuck on the floor and i'm unable to shift gears. this happens on a daily basis. i've been stuck in my drive way because i can't get the gear into the reverse position. same this has happened in traffic where i'm stuck because i can get the gear into first to move the car forward. once i do get the gear to go the car shoots forward dangerously. there is also a significant loss of power. when trying to drive up a hill the car can barely move and the rpms go higher yet there's no power.

Check engine light always on reads under boost for the turbo, does not pick up speed at all for having a turbo
Our vehicle keeps shutting off on highways, roads, etc. we always have children in the car. when we can finally start it again the whole electrical system then wants to shut down and the screen stays black for a long time.
After fueling the car up, driving down the road, the engine completely shut down. this wasn't the 1st time.

There is heat that consistently emanates into the car from the area where the wiring harness or fuse box would be. i've had it looked at and mechanics continue to say that the fuse box is fine but there seems to be an issue with the harness. the problems is so bad that the heat over time has led to bad paint damage to the left side of the car. the paint is completely dull. the discoloration is beyond obvious and noticeable. the heat begins to be a problem almost immediately after turning it on.
It appears there is an alarming noise coming from the engine when i start the car at degrees lower than 40. this is an intermittent issue but when it occurs i loose power while driving down the road resulting in my rpm's to jump higher than normal accompanied by vibration and rataling coming from under the hood or tire (its hard to tell) . from my research, the cold start issue was a recall for 2013 dodge dart but it is not showing for my vin. could someone please reach out to me reguarding this complaint??
I have had 5 different places change my oil and at every one the filter has either come off in my hand or create a gap in the filter seal which is caused oil to start spraying all over the car and leaking all over the ground. all five times this is happened the filter is either going off in my hand or had the seal of the filter start leaking oil. spraying oil all over in the engine compartment and causing me to lose all of my oil on the ground and all over the engine unknown if this is caused any other problems inside the engine yet every time this is happened i was just about to get on the freeway i was able to go somewhere else and have it taken care of with minimal driving without oil . this is has happened five times now at different locations changing the oil every time it's happened when you just change the oil and also when it's almost time to change oil again or anytime in between that. if i had made it on the freeway with any of these times that this is happened it could have been catastrophic to my engine and cause me to crash
The car keeps cutting off. i crank it back up and it runs for a little bit and cuts right back off. i have had the battery and alternator check and that's not the issue.
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge dart. the contact stated that there had been multiple failures pertaining to the emergency brake and turbos. also, the vehicle misfired and failed to start several times. while on an incline, the vehicle reversed when the emergency brake was applied. the dealer (baxter chrysler dodge jeep ram omaha (17950 burt st, omaha, ne 68118, (402) 800-1230) was notified of the failures and diagnosed that the emergency brake needed to be replaced a third time because a porcelain piece surrounding the center electrode fractured and a plug came out of a piston top associated with the cylinder walls, which damaged the catalytic converter, the turbo, and the long block. the dealer replaced the parts. the contact was uncertain if the oem parts that were replaced caused the failures because, after the repairs, the failures continued. the manufacturer was notified of the failures and did not assist. the manufacturer recommended that the vehicle be taken to the dealer. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
Car accelerates to 7000 rpms while attempting to pull out of a stop car doesn't move. it has happened 4 times at different intersections almost got hit from behind. dealer cant duplicate error my fear is an accident.
Car's engine compartment burst into flames during commute to work 0700 in the morning 10/09/2018, 65 degree day in 35 mph zone. 54,000 miles on car. car was moving at 30mph when engine died and car started to smoke from under hood, within 60 seconds flames appeared from hood, my daughter driving the car got out just in time she was the only passenger. lost all belongings in car.
I have had to take the car in every 2,000 miles or so to have it recalibrated(engine light on), the drivers headlight went out, shop where i bought it said it's the headlight assembly, bought one and had regular mechanic put in, did not work. my regular mechanic said it is probably the headlight control module, and since i need to take it in again for recalibration i am trying to find out if the module was checked and have it replaced. sorry i bought this car, it's in the shop every 3-4 months!!!
When you put on reverse gear the gear gives jerk and will not hold,,,car has to be restarted and put in reverse gear again...all the lights indication on gear turns red...dodge don't resolve this issue...they just say it is sensor...but it is transmission issue...
I took my dodge dart into a dealership after it said service transmission they said nothing was wrong with it so i drove it some more and now it said service transmission,no reverse,and engine temp to hot so i called crystler and they said that there is nothing they can do about it since it's out of warranty i have only had this car since january 24th of this year i shouldnt be having this problem with it and the hun i look the vin up it says it's a dodge dart sxt when it's a rallye so something don't make since i don't feel like i should be screwed over and have to pay 8,000$ for a broken car

In the last 4 weeks, while driving, my car has displayed a "service transmission" error and "gear not available error." the first time was on i-10 and it occurred and i had to pull on the side or the interstate. my card was in d, but it would not drive or reverse. i turned it off and tried to turn it back on, but the car would not crank same service messages above popped up. after sitting on the side of the interstate for 20 mins, i turned it back ok and i was only able to go about 30 miles per hour. i was able to get back to my hotel room. the message disappear and the engine light went off, so the dealership was unable to find the problem. yesterday, on july 8, 2018, the same problem occurred. this time i was driving on interstate 75, going about 65 mph, and the same error message popped up again. i had to pulled to the side or the interstate again, because my car would not drive. i turned it off again and waited for 5 mins and i was able to ease back to my home. as of right now, the dealership still can't find the problem. though they can't find the problems, i am seeing several owners experiencing the same issues with their 2013 models. i've found several forums explaining the same problem that i am having as well as youtube videos. can someone please get dodge to do a recall on this issue.

I was on my way to work@ 0730 hrs, traveling on i 294 n/b, at a speed of approx 45/50 mph when i heard a loud pop. as i attempted to reduce my speed, to move out of the flow of traffic, i noticed my brakes were no longer functioning. i pulled the hand break up, which did not respond, i pushed it down and pulled it up a second time, which barely slowed my vehicle, but did allow me to coast to a slow stop on the shoulder. at this time, the hood of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. i exited the vehicle and a man who had been traveling behind me, pulled over to say that he had seen flames coming from my tail pipe, before the engine compartment burst into flame. i immediately called 911. i waited in the rain for illinois state police and the fire dept to respond. state police report#il 0229900 was made upon the troopers arrival.
Had issue with 2013 dodge dart cranking . it took several attempts before the car would crank up.
The 2013 dodge dart with the 1.4l turbo engine was a vehicle made that was made in murphy's law (everything that could go wrong, will go wrong). since purchasing this used vehicle in 2016 with 43,000 miles on the engine i have had multiple occurrences of mechanical problems. the first issue i have had was the turbo. i had to have the turbo replaced under warranty (common issue). then, multiple instrument gauge failures. next, several clutch problems (clutch sticking to the floor even when driving). this issue was not fixed as the dealer does not believe this to be an issue. if researched it will show that this is a common problem thousands have with this vehicle. then, next set of issues began with multiple caliper seizings. the car was taken to a mechanic other than the dealership. they determined that these parts were faulty and suffered from a recall that effected several cars. when calling customer care for dodge. they refused to do anything because my vin was not involved with that specific group of cars. i paid for the repair out of pocket and then suffered through two additional caliper failures. all repairs out of my own pocket. this is also another common issue. now, i am currently going through a valve cover gasket failure on a vehicle that has been maintained at 75,000 miles (common issue). now that i am out of warranty on a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty. dodge claims to have started the warranty in 2012 on a 2013 year vehicle. this vehicle should be listed as one of the most dangerous, expensive, and poorly made vehicles to exist. all of these issues have occurred while driving on a highway almost causing me to crash several times. through dodge-dart.org you will see several dangerous and negligible choices made by fiat chrysler and how dangerous this car can be to the public. i believe dodge should offer an extended warranty up to 10 year/200,000 miles.
Service transmission message on dash after about 50 miles of driving normal. won't shift into second gear until 4200 rpm drops to 1000 rpm then shifts into third gear early at 2400 rpm when turned vehicle off and try to turn back on it says autostick not available. clear all codes works fine. it's been at the dealership 4 times with no diagnosis. they have done the transmission control module recall twice. every time it has happened there has been about a month in between. tends to happen after about driving 50 miles normally.
Before starting vehicle, clutch pedal goes straight to floor and has to be pulled back up into position. problem occurs multiple times a week. after clutch is pumped a few times, it regains pressure and is able to be driven. vehicle has less than 35,000 miles but is over the 5 year warranty. extended warranty will cover it with a $100 deductible. dealership advised that i will probably have to pay for a clutch replacement even though there is an extended warranty/ known issue on the master cylinder and hydraulic fluid leaking throughout clutch components. also had the turbo and exhaust manifold gasket replaced at 20,000 miles after check engine light kept coming on and vehicle lost power. at one point the check engine light came on and the vehicle lost almost all power while trying to merge onto i-95 in washington dc, almost causing me to be rear ended by another vehicle. it took 4 trips to the dealership for the problem to be recreated and eventually fixed under warranty. the emergency brake stopped working at about 15,000 miles but i was told that my vehicle was not one affected by the caliper recall. paid for caliper replacement out of pocket. lots of problems with this car, but dealership keeps telling me they "cannot replicate the issue".
Over three times while driving my autostick not available and service transmission light has come on. car sputters and comes to a stop. once it happened on a 23 mile bridge where i was almost in an accident because of it. dealership has had car over 5 times and the second transmission failed same day i got my car back. i still do not have my car back *tt *tr
While vehicle was in motion and i proceeded to make a right hand turn the vehicle stalled out causing me to shift the gear into park before starting the vehicle back up. but as i tried starting the vehicle it hesitated to start and i had to wait a moment maybe three to seven minutes before i was able to get the vehicle started again only to have it stall out again while making another right hand turn. i also noticed the interior lights flashing on the dash as well as a blinking check engine light appearing.
When trying to accelerate it is very hesitant to go, then it will over rev and the rpms will go up but it will not go any faster. it will only happen it second and third gear
Burned oil and need to put oil in after 750 miles. new engine was put in, but it still have problems. the problem first started 12/4/17. i was driving my car and it completely stop without warning. i took it to the dealer and it was determined that it was an engine issue. after 6 months, the engine was replaced. it was burning oil
Air bag light keeps coming on stating air bag maintenance required. blinks on and off longs car is started. been happening for about a month now.
On the first drive of the day within the first mile the car shuts off. the starter grinds when trying to restart and after several minutes will turnover and then drives fine. has occurred six times most recently sat 11-4 after turning left on a level surface the car shut down and coasted to a stop. took three tries to restart and then drove fine.

This car has gone through cylinders, spark plugs, 3 batteries including the factory one, throttle control computer all in less than 50k miles. never gets more than 10k miles before there is another issue, quite possible the worst vehicle i have ever purchased and there's no doubt in my mind after reading forum after forum of the exact same issues experienced by hundreds if not thousands of other owners and dealer responses that there was good reason to discontinue the production of this model and the model years thereafter. unfortunately, we are all stuck with payments on cars that put us at significant safety risk because of frequent and random stall outs, including one that happened to myself at highway speed, and another on a dark desolate country road, and fca won't do anything about it other than offer a 5% discount on a brand new vehicle, for which comparable size and price no longer exists within the brand. this car is the definition of a lemon, we bought it certified used from dodge after the car had a single owner and with neither the dealership nor the brand offering any sort of significant assistance in remedying this product defect other than repairs within warranty that keep us on the road for another month before the next breakdown, we are forced to pay for and drive a vehicle that puts our family at risk even more than in general. unbelievable.
