I continue to have a service airbag error on my dashboard. i have reported to it to the dodge dealership and they are unable to assist unless a fee for diagnostics and a fee to fix the issue when it's clearly a safety matter. today i had a repair at the dealership due to a recall (v34) transmission shift cable. i am still experiencing issues with the shifting of my gears. i researched recalls on 2013 dodge darts and saw recalls reported regarding the powertrain as well as airbags. i would greatly appreciate a response asap. thank you and enjoy your day.
Service airbag system message displays when you start the car and drive it it does not go off
When a passenger is sitting in the front passenger side of the vehicle with the seat belt connected, the vehicle is illuminated a warning light saying passenger seat u buckled. this is also causing a "service airbag system" to appear in the dash along with the warning light being illuminated. the problem was first observed when a passenger sat in my front passenger seat, vehicle was not in motion when the lights illuminated and continued to stay illuminated while driving.
One day i was driving on the highway and i received a notification to 'service air bag' and my car shows the passenger seatbelt isn't buckled, even when it is. this causes my car to make noises at me the whole time i'm driving. it has also raised concerned of whether my airbags are functioning, and if i and anyone who rides with me is safe driving/riding in this car.. i just had the bushing for the shifter cable repaired.. now another dangerous situation with my dart.
Fasten seat belts light appears on dash and dings. air bag light continues to be lit. battery replaced and tested good...car doesn't start. radio loses reception. key fobik doesn't lock, unlock, remote start or panic button doesn't work to car (always did before) check engine light has come on and went off several times

I had took my car to chrysler in biddeford in may 2017 c/o that my e-brake was not holding my car. once i got the car back i could hardly lift the brake. i went back in and asked why it was that way, they stated that it would loosen up as i use it. i used the brake a couple of months later and it went up about an inch. the next time i used it was in february and when i pulled up on the brake level it went straight up. i called and left numerous vm. no one called me back. i went back in on a saturday for my oil change. i talked to a rep there and they stated that they would leave a note for someone to call me back on monday. i never received a call back. i finally got someone to make an appt for me to bring my car in. once they found out i no longer had the b to b warranty they stated that i would have to pay almost $500. i called and left a msg for the gm and i got a call back from the sales manager wanting me to traded my car in. i stated to him i thought he was calling about the brake. he stated to bring it in and they will put it on the lift while i talk to sales. the rep came back and stated do you know that your brake does not work. made an appt for a diagnostic which i had to pay for and they ordered a part for my car. i had to take my car back to be looked at bill dodge and they stated that my brake was not working and that my calipers where sticking. i brought the car back in and they stated i needed one of my calipers changed. i stated i just changed one this summer make sure you get the right one. i picked up my car and took my car to my friend in nh. his mechanic again stated that my brake was not fixed and that the e-brake is causing the calipers to stick. i got my car back and a week later (03/01/2019) i was in an accident where a car hit my driver's door doing about 35+. my air bags never went off. i have ...

I bought this car from the dealer in 2013 and every so often the air bag light goes off. when it was under warrantee the replaced the air bags and it helped but the light goes on all the time. i have looked on line and many other owners have this same problem. some say its connected to an issue with wires in the a or b pillar. i have talked to the dealership and they do not want to do anything since its not under warrantee.

When in motion, when someone is sitting in the passenger seat, the seatbelt signal, passenger airbag signal, as well as digital display warning about seatbelt and airbag systems are all on and alerting us. if an accident were to occur, the car would not deploy passenger airbag due to this malfunction.

Vehicle had less than 50000 miles on it. when a passenger in my car would put their seat belt on the dash warning light and the check air bag lights would come on.
Service airbag indicator light keeps randomly (starting, motion, stationary, any time) coming on, took my car to the dealership and after hours of diagnostic testing they came up with that i need a new seat air bag. i know many other chrysler products have had recalls for air bag malfunctions and upon doing research, discovered other 2013 dart owners have had similar or worse issues with their air bag systems. i also discovered that 421 2013 dodge dart mopar 13 special-edition models were recalled due to potential air bag problems, but it was stated only the special edition models were affected. did these 2013 models really have different air bag systems than the rest of the 2013 darts?
Takata recall, this vehicle was taken approximately 5 times back to dealer because airbag light kept coming on 2014 thru 2016. dealer always said nothing wrong (i have documentation from dealer stating so. my daughter was in an accident november 7, 2017 hit by a tractor trailer air bags never depoloyed. my daughter has a concussion that she is still under care for and vehicle was totalled. my daughter was on a highway that was under constuction only one lane open, tractor trailer did not stop and smashed her into cement barrier. *tt *cn

The airbag light comes on anytime the outdoor temperature is above around 85 degrees. the dodge dealership says nothing is wrong, but the light still comes on. my car was in the shop multiple times for issues with the electrical system. the battery has been replaced 2-3 times since 2013. interior lights sometimes flicker. the navigation system resets itself randomly and now it can't "find" the maps. they are just gone somehow. the sd card slot works sometimes and not others, same with the backup camera. dodge has been completely unable to fix these.

I have only hade my dart for 1 year with 55k on it.... in that time it has hade 25k in dealership repairs... i have replaced all 4 coil packs, spark plugs, and fule injectures on my own dime... the ebreak has bin replaced once and again it is not working again. the air bag like came on and no one can sit in the pass seat because the seat belt bucky wont read its connected n beeps all the time.. the low oil pressure light comes on and off.. it has a knock,and tick at idol but goes away after 3k rpm. i have hade nothing but problems with this car and i am stuck with it for 5 more years... this is by far the biggest waste of money i have ever hade
I have tooken the car multiple times to the dealership for the same exact reason and its always the passenger side seat air bag the airbag was replaced along with the harnesses less then a year ago and now i have a aur bag light again. before that the air bag light would turn on as well and they would reset the system from what they tiold me and months later again with airbag light. this is a safetly issue and i cannot be driving this car like this. everytime the light would turn on it would be while driving just randomly

I was driving my car in the left lane, i switched lanes due to traffic and i saw amother car stopped to make a left turn from the right lane. i hit the brakes hard and the car kept going. i hit the car in front of me causing severe damage to the front of my car. the airbags did not deploy as well. when i hot the brakes theanti lock brakes pulsed once but the car kept going forward. the car didn't skid or slide. it was like nothing happened at all. my kids were in the car and they were scared and shook up. i have been working on cars most of my life and to feel the car do this was very strange to me.

Left car at dealership for recalls (south point dodge dealership in tulsa, ok to had car fixed for transmission recall. advised service manager that i had looked up vehicle on the internet and saw it had 3 major recalls one for the transmission module and the other concerning the airbags which i expressed great concern with and i asked him to please go ahead and take care of it now since he already has the vecicle there. he told me he would fix all the recalls. we assumed they were done. it wasn't until my sons accident that we learned they didnt fix the airbags. on 12.28.2015 my son was in a accident because of ice on highway and the airbags did not deploy. this is unacceptable . he could of been badly injured or even killed. luckily he only has a concussion. i am attaching a picture for you to look at. also i was told by the state trooper that there is a video of the accident because it happened right in front of their toll booth with cameras. the oklahoma turnpike authorities should have the video. here is a picture that the auto body took showing that the airbags didn't not deploy. you can also see that the rebar of the car's frame is pushed all the way up to the motor. please look into this matter so no one else gets hurt or killed as it could of been my son that day.

While driving and attempting to come to a stop by pressing the break, the break out of nowhere became very difficult to press down and the car was difficult to stop. i was coming off the highway approaching a light. after i was able to press it down it let off a hissing noise. i took it in and was told it was the break booster that needed to be replaced. no one was able to inform me what caused it. i have never had any trouble prior to, no accidents and i am consistent with service. it is clear this is a manufacturing problem and a recall is in order. i do understand this is not the first or only complaint for the very same issue. this could result in death. also their seems to be a problem with my airbag system and tire light as they have been triggered on their own and will not go off.
