In the last 3 years my vehicle has stalled 5 times. today was the 5th time. i was on a hill about to turn onto another street, and as i started turning the steering wheel, the car turned off. it was very difficult to steer with no power. i turned the corner then put the car in neutral to start it up again. i was driving only abut 5 miles per hour on a residential street thankfully. the weather was cold but not raining. all 5 times that the car has stalled it has been a cold morning, and i was on an incline
The issue occurs mostly while the vehicle is in motion, but occasionally when it is sitting still and idling. while driving, the car engine will suddenly stall. no warning lights or check engine lights turn on. no codes are found when scanning the obd2. there are no recorded miss fires for any of the cylinders either. this is an especially dangerous situation specifically when driving full speed on major highways or roads. when the engine stalls, power steering cuts out and i have to muscle the car off to the side of the road to put the car in park and start it up again. the engine has stalled while going in reverse, driving forward, and sitting idle. this has happened over a dozen times now.
2013 dodge avenger has randomly started honking the horn while stopped and in motion. the honking lasts anywhere from a quick honk to sounding like i am laying on the horn for minutes going down the freeway. i have tried pulling over and restarting the vehicle which did not help or stop the horn. this is very dangerous.
For the past couple of months my horn goes off on its own. sometimes it goes off when i lock my car, other times it does not. it will sometimes click, and other times it will blare for 5 seconds. it is very startling especially while driving in traffic or sitting at a stoplight. once i was driving in the rain, and it went off for about 8 seconds and at the same time my windshield wipers started to stall and not work properly. the horn does not work when i push on it like it should. it is very concerning since it can cause safety issues.
Started getting a obd code 2017 and 2004. after replacing the manifold runner control valve the light stayed on and now code says that the circuit is high in bank one. i took off the runner control and tested it so it is a good part,
Sometimes when its raining or snowing when my car is on at least once during my trip my car will turn off either when i'm at a stop light/sign or when i brake to make a turn. i can sometimes tell when its going to turn off because the car sputters (i dont know how else to describe it). ex yesterday on my way to work it turned off as i was at a stop light so i turned it off and back on more more issues on my 10 mile trip. on my way back home (car sat in the rain all day) my car turned off as i was leaving the parking lot of my job. when i say my car turned off i mean it loses all power so that when i press my gas car doesnt go anywhere i have to turn it off and back on to continue my trip
I was driving my 2013 dodge avenger and the horn goes off by itself from 3 seconds to 3 minutes constantly. when i drive the car it cuts off. my car has only 85000 miles and i have read similar complaints regarding this vehicle around that mileage.
I need some answers to this major safety issue. i have been experiencing issues with my 2010 dodge avenger. these issues are while driving the vehicle on the roadway, highway vehicle just cuts of without any warning signs with cars going at least 45mph following. vehicle has also not started on over 15 occasions. i have taken it to the dealership who intern has made repairs stating that the issue was fix, but when i get vehicle home after an enormous repair bill it won't start again. the dealer has told me that they don't know why vehicle is abruptly going dead while driving.this is a major safety issue. last occurence was in october 2019. vehicle is still a repair shop.

Every time car is started and driven it stalls and/or will completely cut off in the middle of traffic. the fuel tank also has the gas light on and says the car has an empty tank when in fact the car has a full tank. (on going issue)
