The airbag system service warning indicator light on the dash board came on. i took the vehicle to the dealership service center to learn that a faulty passenger side seat sensor was the cause of the warning light (not covered under warranty and not included in any applicable recall). however, i later conducted research online and found that similar 2015 chrysler 200s have been recalled for this exact same issue (apparently my vin number [xxx] was not included in the recall). this warning light came on at approximately 60,000 miles and no previous issues we're noticed with the airbag system. although the light first came on intermittent... it now remains on constantly. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

I have a engine light on that is regarded to a active grill shutter. i have had the dealer look at it and they say the motor has gone bad and needs to be replace. car has 47k miles on it!!!!!! nope not covered under warranty. today i get in my car and my air bag light comes on and says to service air bag system. while driving the light will come on and go off about every 2 miles.
Takata recall my airbag light has been continuously coming on and off ever since i purchased the car about 3 months ago. i took it back to the place of purchase and was told that something was blocking the sensor under the seat which had been removed and i was told it was fixed but this light is still on. i don't feel safe in this car if i don't know if i have working air bags or not. the sunroof has also malfunction to where it would not open and close by pressing the button i have taken it to be fixed 3 times already. i feel like i am stuck in a death trap waiting to happen.
Air bag light goes on and off constantly. time frame is always different and no codes are present. happens at any speeds as well as idling. highway or city roads.
The "service air bag system" constantly comes on and off. some times it stays on for days. sometimes it just constantly turns on and off continually dinging. its very frustrating. it doesn't matter if i am idle, or driving. there is no rhyme or reason to when it turns on and off. i have had it serviced at the dealer 3 times now. they tell me its just a sensor or wiring but it still continues to happen. i bought the car in may and this is december and i am still dealing with this all the time.
The passenger airbag alarm stays on and interrupts the info on the dash. the radio has turned up on its own and would not turn off even when the car was turned off and door opened. the engine constantly stalls especially when making a hard or fast turn or when braking hard. sometimes jt cuts off when idling. it is always hard to get restarted, and requires several minutes of trying. the radio problems happen when stationary. the airbag light us constant during stationary and movement. the engine stalls happen mostly when deceleration or hard turns or braking. sometimes a red light with lightenjng bolt appears on dash and the car will ride very rough until turned off and turned back on
On may the airbag light started to come on once in a while. but the last 2 months the light does not go away. i took to the dealership and want to charge me $150 to just see it. the vehicle has 50,000 miles the minute i start the vehicle the air bag light comes out and does not go away until the vehicle is turned off. i just afraid that if i have an accident the airbags wont work or they might explode while i'm driving. i need to know what to do.
The vehicle is continuing to have these defaults as shown in pictures i'm experiencing more defaults in this vehicle and that i was told that there is no recall for chrylser cars and that i'm afraid of either getting hurt or someone else getting hurt maybe even killed due to these faulty issues that needs to be checking and that i don't have any kind of warranty on this vehicle.
Purchased vehicle 24 april 2017. after approx. 2 weeks the "service airbag system' message and airbag light on panel came on and went off after a few days. called and spoke with dealership i purchased from and was informed that if it came on again to take it in to get checked. came on again after another 2 weeks, scheduled appointment and the morning i took it in it went off. came on again at the end of june which was another 2 weeks later and has been on since. first couple of time came on while driving, last time came on right after car was started. car will also making a "jerky" acceleration motion while driving on highway and acts like it can't accelerate after coming out of a stop. makes the "jerky" acceleration motion when pulling into driveway also. did some research online and saw that others where having the same issues. i haven't had this vehicle a full 4 months.

The engine light came on and never went out and that the airbag service systems keep on coming on the my car sometimes speed and then it will not accelerate beyond 45 miles it seems that the car engine is ready to go out at anytime or moment while driving the gear shift is jumping from #1,#2#3#4#5#6 also temp for the outside of the vehicle has been messing up along with the time. i'm not sure what else would happen if i continue to drive it. the car may cause problems later on while driving i don't have any warranty on this vehicle to be repaired and that i have read the recall of all chrylser vehicles from 2010-17 these are the same exact problems that i'm having the parking lights and engine light had came on during parking and stayed on till i left work on the 04/28/17 and 04/29/2017 it also has started to jerking a few weeks ago till now also . i'm afraid to drive it because i just may have a wreck while driving this vehicle. i'm not really as to what is happening with the vehicle.
The engine light continues to remain on while in drive mode the gear shifts remain to move accordingly #1#2#3#4#5#6#7#8 the transmission is starting to slip while in driving mode and that the airbags system is continued to blink on and off these are some of the bad defects that's happening as of now i'm afraid of really driving these vehicle due to faulty systems that may be more than a issue the problems started when in parking and drive mode.

Takata recall a month after i purchased the car in march 29,2017 my seatbelt light pop on and shortly after less than a week of the seatbelt light coming my airbag light came on buzzing making noise my break was making a noise so i took to american financial on winchester that services the cars but i was told there were nothing wrong with the break but now i really hear the breaks scrubbing the also all 4 tries was replaced with new tires and so now i'm dealing with my tracking light on all the time if it's cold outside i have had the worst time with this 2015 with 42125 milage and i was told that nothing on here were covered under warranty but i have a printout that show that this same seat belt was fixed under warranty 7/2016 and other things were fixed under warranty i really need some assistant with what i have going on because i know i shouldn't have all these issue on this car already

Takata recall when i received vehicle on february 2017 i was already in mechanical shop by march 16 2017 my car was throwing itself it self into park while driving down the road. my car also stalls when leaving a stop then jolts while going i have had to avoid a lot of accidents because of this. chrysler fixed the defected power distribution center thinking it would fix stalling but stalling continued. recently when i got up for work one morning i noticed my passenger air bag light on and took it to the dealership and they said my hornets was deffected

Hello i've submitted and reached out plenty of times about a faulty transmission that when accelerated feels like it's in neutral then gets a gear and causes vehicle to make a harsh sound when kicks into gear and have almost gotten into plenty of accidents due to this. also air bag sensor in passenger seat turns on everytime someone gets in as if it doesn't work properly.
Vehicle has about 36000 miles and the service airbag light continually comes on. took it to a dealer and it isn't covered under warranty, and no recall. $89 fix. i'll be calling for a better price, but this is a safety issue nonetheless. thank you for your time. the light comes on weather i'm moving or stationary.

While mobile or stationary my airbag sensor light is on. it has been diagnosed numerous times for the same reason. due to a loose connection under my passenger seat. chrysler has serviced it numerous times also. they have order new parts, replaced with other parts. they have tried to seat the loose connection in with a zip tie also. issue has lasted since february of 2017

Takata recall february 2017, i was sitting in the driveway of my moms house when i hear a ringing noise in my car, the car wasn't moving; it was turned on and parked. it appeared on my dash and said service air bag sensor. the light stayed on and never went off. i called the dealership and they told me there was no recall on it so there was nothing they could do for me unless i paid the $200 to get it looked at and fixed. a friend of ours drove our car and ended up getting into an accident. he rear ended a police officer and the air bags never deployed, prior to the accident, the sensor light was already on. which is a major concern for me. the whole front end of my car was damaged and needs completely repaired along with the other vehicles rear end.
My daughter was in a car accident on january 27, 2017 where they had to cut her out of the car and her air bags never deployed on any part of the vehicle

Purchased/leasing car from american car center and from day 2 there had been problems but they keep giving me the run around. i've taken it to the shop 3x in less than 30 days. the air bag light light was on. they had me take it to a place that doesn't fix them then they sent me to the chrysler dealership who claimed to have fixed it. not even a week later the light comes on again. in the meantime i complained about the car seeming like it's going into neutral. again, acc sends me to one of their shops who says nothing is wrong with the transmission and it just need to be reset so they reset it. well the same day it was supposed to be fixed it does it two more times especially going downhill. it doesn't shift into gear as it suppose to. i put it in drive but it moves like it's in neutral then jerks into drive, not safe. if i stop at a stop sign it stalls to pull off. the passenger seat got stuck after it was let back for the first time. the speedometer glitches and the radio/phn connection does what it wants to. my main complaint is the transmission. what it's doing scares me whenever i drive it. the date it last happened is listed below.
I was involved in a 3car accident yesterday 10-10-16 thursday where i was the middle car on a city street approaching a red light to stop. i'm not sure if my veh was completely at a stand still of it i was still in motion at about 3mph or less but another car ran into me forcing me into the van in front of me. although my car filled with smoke and i could smell rubber, and the icon on my dash shows the air bags came out- but they did not. i didnt realise the my car assumed the airbags came out until i got in the car to drive away and the seatbelt was and still is locked as if im not suppose to be driving because my car believe the airbags are out at this time and im unable to drive it and they are not which leads me to believe there may be a faulty parts issue going on with my car.i have contacted my manufacturer but have heard notanything so far except it was moved up to their legal dept.

My husbands chrysler 200 2015 had huge electrical problems which would cause the vehicle to completely shut off while being driven. the car's electrical would not work, the keyfob wouldn't work, the trunk wouldn't open and you could not shift gears. the dealership could not figure out the issue but "fixed" it several times. the car malfunctioned again and my husband was involved in a car accident as a result, which totaled the car completely, with no airbag deployment. chrysler has not fixed the issue, instead they have closed several cases/claims we have opened with them, never addressing the issue of the car turning off without notice, only the airbag concern. again, the car was being driven when it completely shut off and loses all electrical and engine power, which resulted in the accident which totaled the car
Since i brought the car my air bag light has been on and i can not figure out why, brought the car when it was still fairly new so im confused on why the airbag light was on and is still on.

Parking brake sensor is faulty. dashboard says parking brake is on. however i reset the park and light on dash should go off. doesn't. seat belts alarm stays on when seat belts are all clicked closed. faulty. air bag for passenger seat always says broken & not working, therefore if in a accident i can sue chrysler for injuries because air bag won't deploy. transmission shifting is jerky and not smooth. faulty needs to be recalled for these 4 items.

My air bag system service has been coming on since april had it serviced then it had to be serviced again in june. the light has now come on again as of august 6,2016 no one seems to take this as a serious matter my airbags are deactivated as to what the dealership who worked on it the issue in april explained i have contacted chrysler to have this fixed or give me a new vehicle they claim they have to fix the problem three times before i am allowed to get a new vehicle so now i am riding in a car without any air bags and praying that i don't have an accident with my kids . the incident has occurred while i am driving or parking the vehicle the message comes on to service airbag system
My air bag warning light has been on since approximately a month after purchasing the vehicle in june 2016. it had been reported later the same year the issue with the air bag warning and the electrical system issue, there has been no contact nor resolution to this issue. my vehicle can be stationary or in motion, this air bag warning is making me anxious for my safety. i understand that my vin# was not included in the original recall, but how is that my issue. i had this car for less than six mos. in 2016 it is now 2018. i thought that surely upon contacting customer service in 2016 and filing the complaint the issue would have been addressed and resolved by now, but to my dismay i have not received as little of a concern or inquiry regarding the safety of this product.
