**i will continue to post until my issue is resolved** my 2015 chrysler 200 limited has been experiencing the same thing as all other reports. 06/08/17 car turned off while driving and would not immediately turn back on. when it did it would sputter and then stall. 06/09/17. check engine light came on code p2172 for throttle actuator control system and the car would not let me accelerate past 32 mph. one of the possible issues would be an open or short in the wire harness. this is something that is discussed in the r24 recall however, my vin is not on the list yet. this is an extremely unsafe vehicle and it needs to be addressed immediately. i'm confident that there are more than enough people to begin a class action suit. if i have to post on here again and add accident, injury, or death. the lawsuit will hold a very different meaning.

Takata recall my airbag light has been continuously coming on and off ever since i purchased the car about 3 months ago. i took it back to the place of purchase and was told that something was blocking the sensor under the seat which had been removed and i was told it was fixed but this light is still on. i don't feel safe in this car if i don't know if i have working air bags or not. the sunroof has also malfunction to where it would not open and close by pressing the button i have taken it to be fixed 3 times already. i feel like i am stuck in a death trap waiting to happen.

The factory battery on this year and model is bad. causes the car to not start randomly and completely shuts off during driving due to the faulty battery.

A couple weeks ago my car stalled and totally shut down as i was turning into my driveway. it completely locked up including the brakes, steering, transmission and wouldn't do anything. i tried to put the car in park however the control knob to do so was locked and wouldn't move. the engine was shut down but all the electrical systems were working and several service messages cycled through the display screen. my husband had to disconnect the battery, which reset everything and allowed us to start the car and pull it out of the road and into the driveway. i called chrysler roadside and my car was towed to the chrysler dealership. after 3 days in the service dept i was informed they could not recreate the issue that caused the car to totally shut down and lock up while driving. they drove the car, however no codes were active and they were unable to get the car to throw a code while they had the vehicle. they have now returned my car to me without this major safety issue being addressed. since they could not recreate the stalling and shutdown they returned the car to me. luckily this happened as i was turning into my driveway as opposed to a few minutes earlier when i was on the highway surrounded by other vehicles. i'm very concerned that it could happen again and next time i may not be as lucky. i leased the car brand new in aug. 2014, the lease ends aug. 2017.

Drove the car from germantown md to washington dc for a program, got in the car two hours later. door unlocked with remote, place foot on brake, dash lights and radio turns on car won't start. stop recognizing my remote in the car. i had people try hooking up jumper cables, nothing happen. after two hours of trying to figure out what's wrong car starts. drive the car home with no issues. next morning car won't start same thing happening. i looked down and noticed the car showing in neutral when the knob turned to park. the electrical system reading my car in neutral but it's not therefore it won't start. i took my car in for the recall and criswell only did a updating of software, the rewiring of the electrical system wasn't done. the recall wasn't done as called for and the remote is a replacement after they lost my original.

First, my car problem starts 2 weeks ago with heating sensor stopped working suddenly and it shows take to the dealer and i fixed it. after that problem continues with the new sensor as well. after driving couple of miles, it shows you required a service of the sensor and it goes on/off on its own when i take to the dealer it says it's fine after inspection. after that check engine starts popping up along with service of heat engine sensor. i think i have wasted my hard earned money on chrysler 200 and i am not gonna refer it to anyone as i have driven honda before so expectations were high.

The passenger airbag alarm stays on and interrupts the info on the dash. the radio has turned up on its own and would not turn off even when the car was turned off and door opened. the engine constantly stalls especially when making a hard or fast turn or when braking hard. sometimes jt cuts off when idling. it is always hard to get restarted, and requires several minutes of trying. the radio problems happen when stationary. the airbag light us constant during stationary and movement. the engine stalls happen mostly when deceleration or hard turns or braking. sometimes a red light with lightenjng bolt appears on dash and the car will ride very rough until turned off and turned back on

The car has stalled on me multiple times while in motion and twice while coming to a complete stop. it has occurred on the highway as well as stationery roads. i had it towed to chrysler on 5/16/17 and they were unable to duplicate or find the problem. i picked it up on 5/23/17 & the car has stalled on me three times since then. i do not have any pictures; however, i was able to capture a video.

Takata recall .. the car would randomly shut off .. the lights would start flickering and going crazy ... messages would randomly pop up saying key fob not detected ... in the mornings when i would try and start it the gear shift signal lights would go crazy .. the morning it died on me i tried to start it the car was complete shut down mode roadside came it took us 45 mins to start it when it started the car was stuck in neutral and would not switch out the car lights locks everything electrical started flickering like crazy took it to chrysler they said that they had three other identical cars to mine that was just brought in with exact issue they told me it was a computer glitch and it wasn't covered under my warranty i paid 400$ picked it up and two hours later the car started doing exact same thing then shut off completely in middle highway got it pushed to gas station and the battery was cracked in half leaking acid and the car was stuck in neutral again and completely locked down.

Takata recall. the electrical system in this car has me afraid that if might catch a firer. the dashboard light brighten up and dims down at times. you push one button and it goes to another on the screen. i can not accept the yes to connect my phone on the screen, the engine is stalling when in motion on the highway and city streets.this car is lemon. i have only had it for 1 year and 9mths. there was a coolant leaking and every time they change the oil it was just refilled even after i brought it to there attention.there was a oil leaking around the oil housing and leaking to and over the motor and transmission. the u connect screen features does not work properly and can not update the radio

The vehicle is continuing to have these defaults as shown in pictures i'm experiencing more defaults in this vehicle and that i was told that there is no recall for chrylser cars and that i'm afraid of either getting hurt or someone else getting hurt maybe even killed due to these faulty issues that needs to be checking and that i don't have any kind of warranty on this vehicle.

2015 chrysler 200 driving the vehicle on multiple occasions, at least 10 to count the vehicle has randomly lost power and the engine fails. at this point i'm terrified to drive the vehicle for which i just purchased three months ago on the highway this vehicle would be a death trap. furthermore the vehicle passenger side airbag light is illuminated indicating that it will not comply i've called chrysler end the chevy dealer for which i purchase the vehicle and they told me there's no recall and it appears that my warranty will not pay for the car to get fixed.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled. the vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed as needing a software update and having recalls. the software was updated, but the failure persisted. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where a failure could not be found. the throttle was cleaned and the oil was changed. the manufacturer was notified and stated that there were no recalls or software updates for the vehicle. the failure mileage was unknown.

Vehicle shut down at random after 1 month of driving when purchased april 2017 and has been stalling and randomly shutting down since. there has been two to three maintenance checks at two auto services including chysler. this problem has not ben fixed. i was deiving everytime it shutdown and the vehicle stalls while driving and sometimes when stationary.

I was on the highway and the car stalled several times. i sat on the side lane and turned the car off for a minute. i started it up again and proceeded to get off the highway the car accelerated less than 20 miles per hour. my daughter and i were terrified before the car stopped suddenly and cars had to break behind us to avoid hitting the car. i had to put the car in park and put my hazard lights on and it took a while for the car to start up again for me to pull on the side of the highway. it has done this more than just this incident. at stop lights and while driving on the street the engine will stall and take a minute to start up again.

Recall on electrical surge issue performed on 4/6/2017; since then my air bag icon and bell goes off and on and power steering icon pops on dash. on 4/18/2017, went to make a left turn and power steering icon came on and dash read "power steering not inactive". pulled the car over shut it down and restarted icon was gone car drove fine.

As i was going down the street my radio completely disabled then it came back on as if it hadn't been set already jumped back off stayed off then it came back on as if nothing happened(30mph),i was backing my car in to a parking spot on two separate occasions when in the process of doing so my park brakes jumped on out of no where and brought the car to a complete stop in its tracks(5/8mph)

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving at any speed, the vehicle jerked and stalled, but did not shut down. the odometer warning indicator blinked on and off. the vehicle was taken to the dealer (chacon motors in san antonio, tx) where it was stated that nothing could be done. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. the contact was referred to nhtsa. the failure mileage was 39,000.

From january - april 2017, i have had multiple instances of losing the ability to accelerate or shift gears while making left hand turns. the car throws up error messages regarding the loss of performance shifting and "lightning bolt" symbol. i have to coast to pull over to the side of the road and restart the engine to get moving again. the last time it occurred, i had a truck behind me. luckily i was moving fast enough and was able to get out of the way without being involved in an accident. i have had the car into the local chrylser dealership on multiple occasions where they have thought they have found the problem in an electrical connector. it is currently in the shop again and has been for the past month and they still can't figure out the problem.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving 40 mph, the vehicle independently switched gears and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. on a previous occasion, the speedometer lighting flashed intermittently and continued to flash after the failure. also after the failure occurred, the vehicle hesitated to start and failed to shift from the neutral position. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the gear shift failed and needed to replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 41,000.

The first time car in motion driving on interstate ramp to enter the highway and lost power; shut off. the second i was stopped at red light. the car was running and pulled off and shortly after the car shut off without warning. almost been rear-ended twice due to the car shutting off. *as

Transmission is shifting hard take out of gear while i am moving

This morning when i was driving with my 2 year old daughter, my car had major failures. while driving on a highway (us-46), the anti-lock brakes failed first, then went the power steering next. luckily i was able to pull off the road in time before getting crushed by a tractor trailer. funny thing is, i knew this was coming. i called my local dealership on wednesday to tell them i suspected my car was going to have the same issues others have had. my car started shaking quite a bit when i was drinking on tuesday 2/21/17. when you research this for this model, you'll find all sorts of scary stories, like mine today. when i called the dealer's service department i was totally blown off, treated like a moron, and told they could see me on march 7. helpful, right? so i made an appointment at another dealership for tomorrow morning 2/25/17. alas, i didn't make it. this is a very serious issue. had i been driving on an interstate, this could have resulted in a major accident. i just hope someone reads this and understands 1. this is not the first person it happened to and 2. this issue is going to kill someone. i escaped with my life today. others may not.

While driving the car on a city street ~ 30 mph, it dies. tells me to shift to park and restart. did this 3 times in a row. each time i try to restart it sputters and acts like it won't restart. was able to get to a parking lot less than a block away.

I was in a car accident feb 16 2017. rear ended by a ford expedition. my airbag came on but didn't deploy. i hit my head hard and smoke was coming from the steering wheel. the car locks and unlocks on its own. it slows down to five miles an hour on the highway and then speeds up again. i never know what my life will be like in this [xxx] car. it's not worth anything and i demand all the money i put into it back. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

The purchase of this car has been a headache since the first month of ownership. i immediately had to have a new transmission put into a brand new car, which is unheard of. there have been at least two re-calls for different parts of the car and i'm tired of spending money on a car that is a lemon!!!

- on october 25, 2016 the car went into limp mode and 'bucking' as i was driving down the road with my husband and three children in the car. i had the vehicle towed to stew's. i spoke with bob mckeehan and the sales manager, both assured me the car was s

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off and would not immediately restart. the contact had previously replaced the battery and alternator, but the failure continued. the cause of the failure was not diagnosed. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 51,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving 30 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was serviced per an unknown recall. the failure recurred and the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired again. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 26,733.

I was parked on the street one day and couldn't start the car, i called a tow truck he right away said it's a electrical issue cause the battery worked, finally he got the car started the knob shifter was just loose it turned back and forth but didn't do anything so he said he can't tow the car since it wouldn't go into neutral. the funny thing is, it shows its in the neutral position but still it's parked and wouldn't move. so far i'm sitting in my car and donno what to do. what a lemon this car is, ever since i bought it i had issues with jumpy transmission.

My media center/radio suddenly powers off at any given moment and power on when it wants problem is while my seats are heated i can't turn them off unless the media screen is on. huge problem. this issue is very annoying . my vehicle is either parked, in motion, or even at a stop light this happens periodically throughout my driving day. *tr

I was driving on road at 38mph, car automatically slowed down and engine was shaking. i was hitting the gas but it wouldn't go faster. i pulled over unto the median. i was afraid of a wreck. i waited 10 mins and drove off but it wouldn't go pass 30 then it shut off. i had flashers on so i wouldn't get hit. it cranked after 3 tries. i finally drove home. when i pulled in driveway temperature went very hot and said, shut engine off temp is hot! the air wouldn't work either. now my airbag sign is on and says service airbag. im afraid to drive this vehicle and dealership are two weeks backed up. please help. this car is unsafe for my family. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that the vehicle lost power and stalled without warning several times. the vehicle was able to restart, but the contact stated that the failure could prevent the vehicle from restarting. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v470000 (electrical system); however, the failures were the same. the dealer (ed voyles chrysler dodge jeep ram, 844-715-5921, 789 cobb pkwy se, marietta, ga 30060) was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer suggested that a dealer diagnose the vehicle. the approximate failure mileage was 52,000.

Electrical fire originating in the console while the car was at rest but occupied at a gas station . the fire department extinguished the fire and disconnected the battery to prevent a fire re start . chrysler denied any responsibility saying that the vehicle left the factory defect free . the car has been declared a total loss as a result of this fire . i don't have a way to scan and upload pictures or documents but i have the fire department report and can provide pictures or any other required documentation .

Over the past six months, car has been in and out of multiple dealerships for brake system and transmission issues. the transmission shifts erratically and lurches without warning. the brake system has now caused three accidents. the brake pedal will suddenly go to the floor, and lose all braking power. this has resulted in one major collision. dealers have "fixed" the issues but they return. parking brake randomly activates on its own, causing rear wheels to lock and a loss of control of the car. this last occurence the parking brake activated on its own, causing us to skid into a ditch while travelling 70mph. the dealer said the issue was the battery and returned the vehicle to us after charging us because the battery apparently isnt covered under warranty. the next day the brake system completely failed. the car has been in the shop for two weeks now. the have replaced every major component of the braking system, but cannot get the cars brakes to work properly. chrysler either has no comment or doesn't care about the safety of its customers.

While in motion, overheating light and electric throttle light came up on dash display, with temperature reading at 0. the vehicle still drove as normal, i pulled over and turned it off. restarted after 30 secs and the lights where gone, just check engine light was. took it to a dealership and was told i had a faulty thermastat. the dealer stated that they have been seeing this issue since november 2016 with chrysler 200 & jeep vehicles.

Pulled into a parking lot and upon parking i put the vehicle in park. i hadn't turned the car off but let my foot off the brake and the car began to roll backwards. i had to shift out of park and then back to get it to stay in park.
