Recently reported UNKNOWN OR OTHER problems on 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe

The dashboard has cracked in several places and is becoming a safety issue as well as being an annoyance (excessive rattling) and aesthetic issue. the plastic dashboard is becoming loose and unstable. we are finding this is a common issue with 2007 tahoes. gm does not appear to be concerned with this issue and has failed to issue a recall. we are concerned in the event of an airbag deployment, the cracked dash will break away and cause plastic shrapnel, impaling the driver and or passenger/s in the vehicle. this has certainly created a safety concern!

Cracked dashboard with sharp edges which could impale the passenger in a accident!

Dash has cracked in two separate areas. one above the driver side instrument panel and one above the passenger side airbag. i called two different chevrolet dealerships on two separate occasions, neither of which willing to correct or report to gm. entire repair would be at owner expense. dash has had very little sunlight exposure.

My dash has cracked and now has broken a piece off, it's made very thin and not sure why it's cracking so much.

Front dash has multiple cracks within the dash. safety hazard as peices could fly out striking driver in the face. would like a recall from gm.

Crack dashboard

Dash board cracked reported under warranty @ dealer located in bellglade ,florida..never got dash replaced..wondering if you got similar coplaints for crack dash

I dont understand why gm will not fix the issue with cracks in the dash! it is u safe as one is located right at the passenger side airbag. what it i have an accident and this breaks and parts fly and hu6a passenger. this is not safe.

Gas mileage on my 2007 chevy tahoe is much worse than the advertised 21mpg. i am lucky if i get 13mpg on regular gasoline. don't get me started on the e85 scam - less mpg and only $0.30 cheaper than regular gasoline? the dealer scammed me into believing it was an apples to apples comparison of e85 and gas.

I leased a 2007 tahoe in june 2006. after about 10k or 15k i began to hear alot of noise when turning left or right. i asked the tahoe dealership to check it out and they stated it was not a problem. months later the problem continued to get worse an louder. same dealership states it not a problem. the clicking, squealing noise have gotten worse. third time same dealership states there's nothing wrong. may 21, 2008, i go to a different dealership for a service and because all my friends say there has to be something wrong. i was told that it is a known problems with gm model, i.e., tahoe yukons suburbuns. the intermediate shaft that is installed wears out, and has to be replaced, in models dating back to 98 at least. he states i would have to pay for repair. i researched an found that hundreds of complaints and forums about the very problem but there is no recall about. they have been using the same shaft for years and now have improved part that consumers have to pay for out of their pockets. how can they knowlingly place bad parts in vehicles and not be responsible for repairing. i was told that unless they had a new for the intermediate shaft it would have to be replaced every 10k miles. *tr

At 3700 miles noticed front tires were feathering. after visiting dealer and questioning they asked if i had tires rotated? i explained the mileage on the vehicle was too low so they suggested rotating and coming back. also, window trim on 2 rear windows coming off since first day of ownership, recently been told this is a recall and a known problem.
