Airbag recall was issued in 2016. the dealers say they don't have the parts yet. what should i do to get this resolved?

My vehicle has had an airbag recall for 2 years. chevrolet refuses to acknowledge their is an issue. they keep saying the airbag is safe. yet my vehicle remains on a list for recall. at what point are they going to be required to honor the recall? other car makers have acknowledged an issue and fixed the recall. when you ask the chevrolet spokesperson if they would put a loved one in the seat with the airbag recall they simply state the vehicle is safe to drive. they refuse to answer the question. how can a national recall be issued but a company such as gm not be held accountable to fix the issue and let this linger for years.

I am needing to have my airbag corrected.... it is part of the takata recall. it has been open for a while and the website indicates there is not a correction. i have children and this needs to be fixed now!!!!!

I reached out to the site and was told they believe it is safe from internal conversations i was not allowed to view. then when i requested a fix as the recall information on the site says results could be fatal injuries i was informed gm believes it will be fine for years.

Takata recall. it has been over three years and no help or remedy from gm. we cannot afford a new car and don't feel safe in this one. we are looking for an update or solution to this issue.

Takata recall-- in 2017 i received notification via mail from takata to get my airbag replaced as part of a recall. i have called dealerships no less than 5 times in the past 2 years as indicated to do so on the form to get replaced. when i call dealerships, they tell me the parts have not been sent by manufacturer yet for replacement. i called again today, august 7, 2019-- 2 years later-- and the parts are still not in. what is going on here? this is absurd. again, the notice is attached below for more information.

I have a recall on my air bag and i want it fixed before it becomes a problem

Takata recall my 2007 chevrolet tahoe has air bags that are defective and could though scrap metal into the driver and cause death. but chevrolet will not replace my air bags. chevrolet does not have a remedy for the defective air bags, the nhtsa gave gm until august of 2017 to provide a remedy, but it is now september of 2019 and i still have the original air bags. when can i have a vehicle that is safe to drive?

Tl* the contact owned a 2007 chevrolet tahoe. while driving 35 mph, a 2012 nissan frontier sideswiped the contact's vehicle. the contact veered off the road and crashed into a light pole. the air bags did not deploy. the contact sustained head, back, neck, hand, and knee injuries. medical attention was received. a police report was filed. the vehicle was towed to an independent lot. the contact called patterson hyundai tyler (3120 s sw lp, tyler, tx 75701, (903) 561-2404) and informed them of the failure. the vehicle was not diagnosed. the manufacturer was not contacted. the vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. the failure mileage was 128,122.

Takata recall!!! i received an important safety recall dated july 2016. it is now august 2019, and i'm still driving my tahoe with the faulty air bags, and i have had no luck with getting the problem resolved. this timeline is ridiculous. what are they waiting for, me to get in an accident, and be injured, or worse killed?

Takata recall i bought the vehicle from a private seller and was not told about the recall. i found out this past weekend when i was at a dealership to possibly trade in the vehicle. the recall on my chevrolet tahoe 2007 is incomplete and the remedy is not yet available. my complaint is specifically because there is no remedy at this time meanwhile i am driving around in a unsafe vehicle. i have to much invested in this truck to sell it for way under book value, which is what dealerships are offering.

My 2007 chevrolet tahoe has developed multiple severe cracks of the plastic dashboard on both driver's side and passenger side. the passenger side crack connects to the airbag opening. i am concerned that if i get in an accident, and the airbags deploy, that it could launch plastic dashboard shards into the passenger area, injuring passengers, or worse, block the deployment of the airbag leading to serious injury or death.

My dashboard has cracked, unexpectedly (having only 76,000 miles) on my tahoe ltz 2007. in my review and research of this issue i have seen a common trend with gm for these models. among this trend, and incidentally from my research, they are all cracking in the same spots as mine. above the driver's side instrument panel and the upper left corner of the passenger front airbag. in lieu of these these dashboard cracks, and combined with the existing recall that has no solution for fix- surrounding the takata inflators among the airbags, this becomes a serious safety hazard should there be an accident. the time to make corrections and fixes, not at the owner's or passengers' expense, is before an accident occurs. i would appreciate any advise or insight surrounding this matter. i do have photos on my phone for future documentation should it be needed. your assistance is greatly appreciated in this matter. please note, this tahoe is well taken care of and has always been garaged. it's documented history and appearance attest to that fact.

Takata recall, there is a currently a recall for the airbags # 2049152 that has still not been completed by the dealer or gm. dealer and chevrolet has said "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available" when is gm going to stop dragging their feet so i can get this fixed.

I called chevy service department they said they do not have the part yet to fix the car they transfers me to chevy main office when i talked to this man who told me that chevy says my car is ok to drive & told me that the traffic safety board was holding them up from doing the recall i contacted them with the number i had on my important safety recall page this recall was sent out in 2016 & now it's 2018 i'm worried about my family's safety of going places in this car yes chevy is right my car is drivable but is it safe. accidents are as they are accidents but if i was to get in one i fear for the safety of others & myself i hope that by saying something i can help myself & others be safe in their cars

Gm has not resolved the potentially dangerous tekata airbag defect. they are putting me and my family at risk. we have no plans to sell or trade this vehicle and want a resolution to this issue.

Takata recall on a 2007 chevrolet tahoe. my husband was in a car wreck august 9th he was rear ended twice and the it bags did not deploy even though his seat belt was on. there was enough damage to total it out. both cars that hit him had air bags deploy but my husbands did not. they looking d like there were going to deploy but never did. my husband was on the highway traveling at 55-60 miles per hour. the air bags should have went off! and i have additional photos as well please contact me
