Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chevrolet hhr equipped with dextero touring dtr1 tires, size: 216/50/r17 95vxl (na). the contact purchased a replacement tire from walmart and stated that the sidewall was worn. as a result, the tire blew out while driving. the contact did not know about the failure until he returned to walmart and had the tire diagnosed. the tire was not replaced. the dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the vehicle failure mileage was 153,241. the tire failure mileage was 2. the vin was not available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chevrolet hhr equipped with kumho solus ta71 tires, size: 215/55/r16 97v (na). while the vehicle was parked, the front passenger tire suffered a blowout without warning. the tire was taken back to the place of purchase, but no action was taken. the manufacturer was notified of the failure, took back the tire, stated that the tire failed due to an impact to the tire, and offered a partial reimbursement. the tire was not replaced. the tire was a replacement tire. the approximate vehicle failure mileage was 236,079 and the approximate tire failure mileage was 10,000.

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 chevrolet hhr. the vehicle has firestone firehawk gtx, size 215/50r17 tires. the passenger side rear tubeless tire has tread separation and looks as if it were sliced down the center. the separation began in one place on the tire, but is currently in four different places. the contact has not yet called the tire manufacturer or the place where he purchased the tires. the purchase date was unknown. the current mileage was 38,000 and failure mileage was 32,000. *updated 12/12/07 *bf updated 12/12/07 *tr

Firestone sidewall tire failure. on 7/22/06 on i 95, flagler county, florida. we experienced a sidewall tire failure on a 2006 chevy, hhr with 1942 miles. the tire pressure as tested on 7/19/06 was 34 psi +/- 1 psi. there is no indication of road hazard, the tire has been secured by me. the dealer, tom gibbs chevy of flagler county expressed no interest in pursuing the safety factor of the failure, so i am. the tire is a firestone, gta 03, firehawk size p215/50r17 90t m&s. several mechanics visually inspected same and all came to the same conclusion. as yet, this tire has not been listed on a recall notice. another similar problems with this tire i would like to know. the tire has been secured as potential evidence. *nm

**vehicle has a vibration at speeds over 35 mph, has been into four different chevy dealers numerous times they can not find the problem(they have rotated tires many times,balanced tires many times,changed tires and replaced all four tires)..problem still not solved. ** brakes pulsate sometimes and smell like they are burning (they have cleaned and adjusted brakes at least 6 times,plus they have cut rotors twice (they said they are warped, they also cut the rear drums)..problem still not solved. ** vehicle has a klunking noise when you hit a bump (they have replaced steering column, the next time they replaced stablizer pins)..problem still not solved. ** other problems that most have been solved include :* : *: *: *clothes hanger replaced twice**rear wiper replaced never worked properly**leak in the fire wall puddles in car**weather stripping was defective puddles" inside" doors causing severe wet seatbelts**key stuck in ignition replaced ignition**transmision jumping, gear shift replaced**locks not working had to update computer codes** *tr
