Problems with 2014 Chevrolet Cruze ENGINE

On average, the 2014 Chevrolet Cruze starts to “feel” problems with the ENGINE and its various aspects after 51 633 miles.

Recently reported ENGINE problems on 2014 Chevrolet Cruze

When driving the car flickers the radio in and out and then the radio gos completely out and service stability tracker and service service traction control pops up or the steering wheel locks and service power steering pops up and the car shut off right then and there.

Ever since owning the cruze, we've had nothing but engine issues. first the turbo went out a month after purchasing the car. two thermostats and a complete oil flush. the engine blew at 104,023 miles. the car was flashing engine light and stabiltract light. the car since owning has made a very loud ticking noise. the car also had a hard time maintaining speed. acceleration and deceleration. this happened any time the vehicle speed was over 30mph.

Car shakes when at red light or jerks when pulling off.the engine also overheats.

While driving at freeway speeds(70 mph) the car suddenly downshifted and revved the engine very high(6,000 rpm). the car lost speed and would not downshift. punched the gas and engine returned to normal. check engine light came on shortly thereafter. took to dealer and they state turbocharger is bad. the car only has 62,000 miles on it.

Driving down the highway diesel cruze threw a code stating 'diesel exhaust fluid quality poor see owners manual 99 miles till 65mph' we took it straight away to the dealership spent two hours there for them to say everything was fine this was the end of november. used our other vehicle to go on vacation for half of december back and driving the cruze again it's now throwing the same exact code.. maybe 200 miles on it since the last time in the shop... will be taking it back in the morning (the guy stated last time he didn't know much about it) have no other choice because i can't make it to any other dealership before it shuts me down to 4mph.

No warning turbo failure that cases vehicle to lose power suddenly i was on freeway when engine light came on and a engine power reduced warning came on went to auto zone and they said it was a p0299 have seen a lot of info on the internet net saying that the turbo has gone out this is bad when your at freeway speeds

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. the contact stated that the water pump leaked. the vehicle was taken to gill auto group madera (559-474-4475, located at 1100 s madera ave, madera, ca 93637) where it was diagnosed that the water pump was cracked and needed to be repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered the contact $100. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 63,000. the vin was unknown.

For about one to two months now, my car has been having trouble when i'm going at highway speeds. when i accelerate, with it sometimes not having me to accelerate, my car feels as if it "can't keep up". this is more noticeable when i'm going up a hill or any elevation. one second i'll be going 70 mph and the next the tachometer shoots up to past 4 and 5. i'm scared that it will badly effect my engine going that fast since this has not happened beforr so i have to take my foot off the gas for it to slow done and 'catch up' before i can accelerate again. i have been informed by a chevrolet dealership this is due to the turbo.

The engine keeps overheating even after replacing multiple different parts now the engine will not start.

Nox position 1 sensor went bad. it was recalled on other chevy cruze diesel vins but mine was not recalled and it went bad i took it to the dealer for a check engine light and they told me it was a nox sensor but that it was not recalled on my vin so it was not covered

Cat was sputtering and stalling after i had the oil changed and air filters checked. i got it diagnosed and the codes given were p1101 p0299 p0171 p0106 i was coming to a stop at the light when i noticed some squealing or whirring under the hood. i opened the hood and the engine is like ... moving

While attempting to start my vehicle it will not turn over. then the check engine light flashes on and off. the display then reads service theft deterrent system. service tire monitoring and will then completely lock up. this has happened to me roughly 4 times in the last few months. the only way to get the car to start is with a jump. the battery, starter and alternator are all good and are not causing the issue.

The page previous to this one would not let my check every box (3 max), the other things i would have checked that were affected are -lighting -speed control -steering -wiper -traction pictures show these two signals that pop up "service stabilitrak" and "service traction control". whilst im driving some come things start to happen; the radio/ dash stereo will flicker on and off- all noise stops (any music or blinkers), the heater/ ac wil stop blowing if it is on. sometimes when this happens my power steering will also go out, jerking the steering wheel while im driving, and happens alot when im turning (very scary). the dash will also flicker with abs, brake, traction, lights. some days it will happen very frequently ,other days it will only happen a couple times. i am uncertain what i am doing that is making it act this way. when i am at a stoplight, or drive thru and the same thing as above happens my engine will suddenly shut off while my windshield wipers activate out of no where- very startling (this has happened while my gear shift was in park and while im holding the brake in drive). this has happened multiple times and while in different situations, stationary, in motion, city street, highway, turning, going straight, braking, none of this has happened until a few months ago. sometimes when i start my car in the morning to warm i come back outside and then engine had shut itself off. the traction does not seem like it is gripping to the road very well, winter has just started, and i am scared to drive it. i am going to get it checked out at a chevy dealership as soon as i get the money. i have just now had the car for a year, myself. thank you.

Car started to overheat caused by water pump failing at only 67k miles. failing pump caused coolant leak in car while driving.

The car was being driven from one state to the next. it was a two in a half hour drive. not even a hour into it the check engine light came on. the we made sure to check everything before we left home. it was fine. than the auto start wouldn't work. allied on start and they said you should be able to. but i can't. than it started making this weird sound whenever i drive. i went to autozone and they said there's nothing caught in it, it's the engine. now whenever i drive and wait at a red light the car starts shaking a lot. it's raining now and i'm scared i my loss control.

Turbo charger very unreliable. goes out easily. several complaints in chevy cruze forums of their turbo chargers going out.

The turbo charger is known for going out. this can cause loss of power- even on highways. my turbo lost power on the highway, causing my speed to drop down to 50 mph. i am in a lot of chevy cruze forums and this is the main complaint. your speed can be normal and then all of a sudden just drop down to barely anything. this could cause someone to rear-end you.

My 2014 cruze has a turbo in it to make it "eco" - i.e., rely on turbo for boost when more power is needed rather than using more gas. my cruze entered "limp mode" in july with 54,000 miles on it. the turbo failed to work while merging onto the freeway and check engine light came on. it was shifting into 4th gear with high rpm to keep freeway speed. when diag box was later plugged in, the code came back as "p0299" - turbo underboost. i attempted to replace the sensor (code came back) and solenoid (code back again) as they came up often in research when looking for a solution. turbo worked fine for a month and then quit again with the same code and my car in limp mode again. i filed a complaint through gm and they managed to get the part that was backordered indefinitely due to factory workers being on strike. apparently, gm cut their healthcare overnight. i'd strike too. the service printout i received after replacement stated that they could find nothing wrong with the turbo: "inspected for oil intrusion, none found wastegate solenoid connector missing retainer - does not affect function. bypass valve opens and closes when commanded. no air induction restriction found. recommend turbo for failed boost cotrol test" this sounds to me like a faulty part, and an expensive one at $1,501.86, that i paid for but did not break. not to mention the sensor and solenoid replaced prior. my car is "fixed", and runs, but this is still an issue with the vehicle in general, and the turbo should be recalled to prevent future danger for others. i also think it's bs that i've had to pay a month's rent for a part that shouldn't have failed at only 54,000 miles. i will not be keeping this car and paying another month's rent in a year. i will also not be doing business with any gm manufacturer.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. while stopped at a red light, the vehicle stalled and "stabilizer", "traction control", and a wrench icon illuminated on the instrument panel. the vehicle had to be pushed to the side of the road. the contact stated that the failure occurred one other time. the vehicle was towed to kelley chevrolet (5220 value ave, fort wayne, in 46805) to be diagnosed, but they were not able to replicate the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 35,600.

Turbocharger is faulty and causing check engine light to come on. chevrolet is telling me i have to continue to drive my car for at least another 2-3 months before the part will be in because thousands are waiting on this same part for the same model year car. i've put in a case with them and they seem to be in no hurry to give me answers on how long this will actually take and when i can expect my car to be safe again. without a loner car, i feel very uneasy about driving my broken vehicle and they are acting like this is no big deal.

The car started making a whistling noise, the check engine light comes on and it acts like it wants to cut off at stops.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. while the contact's daughter was driving 20 mph, the steering wheel seized and the stabilitrac and check engine warning indicators illuminated. the contact turned the vehicle off and back on, which failed to reset the steering and caused the contact to leave the vehicle parked in a parking lot. the dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired and the failure recurred. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was approximately 85,393.

There's a coolant pump made of plastic that has cause serval leaks after getting this leaked fix 2x it continued to leak and caused a failed head gasket and cracked head

While driving, the engine suddenly stopped and messages appeared on dash about servicing air bag and power steering. very dangerous as car was moving 45 mph and had to move to shoulder. towed to dealer and was told it was negative battery cable. happened again - towed it back to dealer and was told it was positive battery cable.

I recently had an issue with my turbo becoming defective that i later found out the part was on a national back order and that the manufacturer knew that it had a manufacturing flaw causing multiple turbos to become defective. this is a costly part to replace and with it being on a national back order has caused a major inconvenience that has also triggered multiple parts to go out like my ignition coil as well as my catalytic converter this has also caused my car to overheat. as of right now there is still no news on when this part is going to be available, we are only told that the part is being remade to sustain the stress of the extra work that was not originally planned for our original part to sustain.

My vehicle for the last year has been having some engine issues where it will lock up on me i can't get my key out of the ignition and all the lights will start going off saying it needs service and then it will stop and go back to the regular odometer. i've kept up with my oil changes i've kept up with any service that needs to be done on my vehicle but today my engine completely shut down when i started to run my air conditioning. usually i can get under the hood and wiggle some wires and then things will go back to the way that it was but lately my car has been shutting off on me while i'm driving and i had a service appointment for next week to go and see a professional to get under the hood to see what was going on i figured it was probably just another oil change it is about that time, but i was on my way to a friend's wedding and i had to stop and when i stop my car did not cut back on i pop the hood and wiggled some wires like i usually do but there was no activity whatsoever underneath the hood. i started thinking to myself maybe i should put some oil in it but i don't want to ruin my engine and i started thinking maybe i need some antifreeze but again and i'm not a mechanic so i don't want to assume and then do something to make things a lot worse but today my engine completely shut down on me and i had to wait in the heat for over an hour to get a jump.

I was checking a lot of the stats online for the 2014 chevy cruze and there were already reports out safety reports that there were some issues with the vehicles ignition and power steering and there were numbers and codes and i'm a bit upset because they sold me this vehicle knowing that there was some things that were wrong with the vehicle and that could have been my safety at risk while i'm driving on the road and the engine just shuts down the way it's been doing.

All digital electronic messages will spin if you turn key where you would read speed. manual gauges are not working. check engine, air bag, stability control system lights all on. car started for less than 5 seconds and the smell of extreme electrical so bad.. turn off immediately. lift hood and everything too hot too touch. can't get help from anyone! they say no recalls. the car is a recall where. i purchased it at, gallas chevrolet, albuquerque nm told me before this di not drive could be fatal. but will not pay for a tow or diagnostic test. gm financial, my financial company said it should be easy they take the car back send it in. they will credit our note. *engine fire* 4/10/19... (xxxxx) was in the car and it was idling at the sandy, utah mcdonalds parking lot when smoke and smell came from engine. she put out fire with water. i arrived 15-20 minutes later to help. i inspected engine compartment and did a visual check only to find burnt wiring. there was no other known issues and verified no fluids spilled. i called the insurance company and they had towed to riverton chevrolet to work with chevrolet and have known engine fire risks. 2014 chevrolet cruise case# 95243938936 (gm) vin: (xxxxxx) 4/11/19 insurance company towed to riverton motors. riverton motors invoice# 6209533 / 6206861/1 4/11/19 the day after the engine fire, i received a call from fred uribe (service rep.) from the riverton motors service center. he stated that there was oil all over and it needed repair. i told him that the car was in for an engine fire and i never had an oil or any car leaks. he told me it would be ~$600 to repair the oil cooler leak and it needed to be repaired before the engine fire issue. a few days later fred called and said it was actually a transmission fluid leak. they diagnosed the fire as being started from the transmission fluid leak? the invoice wrongly stated that i reported a leak needing repair and not the fire i reported!!! i informed riverton motors that there was an engine fire and not any leaks. invoice incorrectly stated: customer stated vehicle has a coolant leak, later stated the customer stated vehicle has an oil leak. and then vehicle found the radiator leaking. the invoice did not state the actual reason for the service was an engine fire!!!! state farm insurance claim: 44-8388-q93 amount:  $148.78 comprehensive - fire 5/20/19 reported to gm/machella engine fire 2014 chevrolet cruise case# 95243938936 6/10/19 reported to nhtsa parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I had the car for almost 4 years and some warranty has expired. now i'm experiencing lots of problems. first it was coolant leak, radiator, water pump, thermostat and now the head gasket are out called dealership & gm and they say the can't do nothing about it. currently still paying for a for the car and have not received no help for either parties mention above. i will like to know if this car is in the lemon law or if someone can help me. thank you

Leaking oil on exhaust and gm wont fix it even car is still under factory warranty. smells bad inside vehicle as burning oil. concerned it may start on fire

The water pump in my 2014 chevy cruze . started to leak. when i took it in for service they said it and the thermostat and thermostat casing had to be replaced. the vehicle only has 51,000 mi. i found a bulletin #14371 b dated jan.2015 that explains a special coverage adjustment for 2011-2014 cruzes the dealership said that was only for 1.4l engines not my 1.8 l engine so it isn't covered. i have found other 1.8l crude owners on lemon law sites that also claim problems with the waterpumps.

I will be driving when all of the lights on my dash start going on and off , power service track shows up, my radio will shut off and it becomes a black screen. i will be driving or stopped at a red light or turning and the car will actually completely turn off and start coasting. if i am at a stop light i will than have to put the car into park and then turn the key to start the engine again. i have had to jump my car numerous time to where i keep a portable jump in my car. my key will get locked in the ignition and i have to stick a wrench under the steering wheel to get it out. i have replaced my alternator and my battery was so swollen i had to replace that as well. the wiring was replaced to connect the battery and alternator and i just had the bcm replaced. i'm still having all these issues after all these repairs. this has been happening since november of last year and it happens every time i drive my car!

My 2014 chevrolet cruze started losing power upon acceleration. a few days later, the engine diagnostic light came on. i knew something was wrong when i couldn't keep it running in my driveway to clear the ice from the windows. finally, i was able to drive it to our mechanic. when he ran the codes, his computer showed two sensors and the alternator needed replacing. over $700.00 later, the problem still wasn't fixed. i was afraid to drive my car, fearing the lack of power and bogging would cause me to stall in traffic, thus increasing the likelihood of causing an accident. it is burning gas and bogging upon acceleration and / or while idling. sometimes, it is difficult to start. the diagnostic light is still on. today, my mechanic identified the problem. the check valve in the intake manifold has stopped sealing and has disappeared. where did it go? inside the engine? i ask. it will need a new vent tube, a new intake manifold with the check valve intact, and a new valve cover which has to be replaced due to a little diaphragm which can't be replaced by itself. another poor design. this car only has 47,967 miles as of 2-05-2019. i bought this car for the good gas mileage, which has been greatly reduced at this time. gm needs to correct these problems since this issue has been caused by a faulty design of the intake manifold. please investigate this issue as nhtsa has a bulletin number (11170978) identifying the same problem with the cruze in other states. as a senior on a fixed income, it would be greatly appreciated that this problem is corrected as soon as possible. thank you.

Problem no.1, my cruze has lost power, the heater puts out cold air, the radiator is losing fluid, the engine has started to over heat, and there is wet spot under the exhaust pipe when i idle the engine! that means my car has ether a blowen head gasket or cracked head! the car has less then 85,000 miles and if the head is cracked, i think i know why because gm decked the block the short-way center out to the ends! witch can leave a valley in the center of the block! they made the same mistake with the grand am quad-4! the head all cracked between cylinders 2 and 3 because the block wasn't decked square! i have to take it to the dealer on sat 12/29/18 wish someone would check the block, i know the dealer will try to blame my and to make me pay for some or all of it, even though it is sill under warranty! problem no.2, i purchased a new chevy cruze eco with a manual transmission 4 years ago, i got it because i wanted a high mpg car and i have been driving standard transmission since i started driving and i knew i could better mileage then rated (65.5 mpg my best score!), but the shifter has to much slop in it, i had a cutlass with a hurst shifter that was 16 inches tall and used that had less slop! i have complained to dealer about it since the day i got car! three times i have put the transmission in both first and third gear at the same time! i can't tell you how many time i have missed the shift while still holding all the way in position! if i am in a hurry i can't find the gear at all! problem no.3, the hydraulic throw-out bearing is slushy and slow. because the master-cylinder and feed-line is to small! i am a fast shifter, and i can out shift the clutch! that is bad because the pressure plate doesn't close fast enough it causes excess ware and burning of the clutch!

Vehicle was taken into gm dealer (larkin-cobb) chevrolet because it was leaking coolant. had to add coolant to reservoir at least once a week. dealer found a small valve dripping on the engine and replaced it. the vehicle was under remaining powertrain warranty at the time of complaint/issue. the vehicle continued to leak after said repair and was brought back to dealer 2 more times and dye test was done and they said they could not find the problem. on the third time the vehicle was taken back again with the same issue..loss of coolant. the dealer and gm warranty now want to charge me for cylinder head removal and head gasket replacement. i contended that the car was under warranty at the time of initial repair and the issue was not resolved and should still be fixed under powertrain warranty. gm warranty rep said no...the "date" had expired. now i have no choice but to pay for repairs that should have been covered under powertrain warranty..and gm wont "own" up to its warranty. cant just take the vehicle back because it was setting off "high temperature" code when at idle and also moving. after researching..these chevrolet cruzes have a very bad history of cooling problems...including water pump, turbo seals, and blown head gaskets. gm should honor thier warrantys and fix the engine and cooling problems with this car.in my opinion, any cooling problem should be fixed because it is badly engineered.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. while driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle shut off and the key failed to release from the ignition. the vehicle was jumpstarted and returned to normal. the contact called crain chevrolet (9911 i-30, little rock, ar 72209, (501) 436-4484) who stated that diagnostic testing was needed. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 59,045.

I started having issue last year with the engine. i called chevy and was advised my warranty expired 12 day's before my complaint. after doing some research i learned that multiple consumer's across the country are having the same issues with the heating system and engine. i feel my car should have been recalled. the vehicle will just shut off mid traffic without warning. i have invested more than 1000 dollars and it's still having issues.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. while driving in traffic, the vehicle shut off and the steering seized. the contact stated that the vehicle came to a complete stop on its own. the dealer and manufacturer were not notified. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was 66,000.

Gm service bulletin pip5197j (as amended 10/2018) describes multiple issues with the pcv and non return valve on this engine. if either part fails it is a costly repair and can lead to oil spraying out of the valve cover/intake manifold. this happened to my vehicle in october and has happened to a huge number of other vehicles in the past 6 years. the oil expectorate from the engine can burn and cause smoke to enter the passenger compartment leading to respiratory issues for the passengers. the issue is known to gm but they will not issue a recall or service warranty extension. in addition to the smoke issue, the oil can also form a hazard on the roadway through oil droplets. a very tiny stopper ball in the valve can malfunction, leading to a cascade of failures throughout the engine. the service bulletin covers 4 specific models of vehicles from 2011-2019.

The intake manifold design on the turbo engines are faulty and fail every 40,000 miles or so. gm is aware of this issue and yet there is no attempt to redesign the intake manifold. the check valve in the intake manifold is what fails to work. the check valve stops sealing and eventually disappears causing a leak. there is even a bulletin describing the issue but yet no fix by gm. what does it take to force gm to fix their faulty designed product?

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. while driving 35 mph, the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was taken to o'conner auto park (199 riverside dr, augusta, me 04330. 207-622-3191) and repaired per an unknown nhtsa campaign number. the contact stated that the recall repair failed to remedy the failure as the check engine warning indicator remained illuminated. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 63,931. *tt consumer received a recall for catalytic converter failure. check engine light came back on soon after. emissions is under warranty for 150,000 miles or until 2029 which come first. updated *jb

Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time that my 2014 chevy cruze has this issue. my engine light stays on while the stabilock service flashes on the dashboard; car jerks while either idle and/or stopped; a loud squeaking noise from under the hood (all these issues always start at the same time!!). i have taken my car to chevy dealerships and they have (supposedly) replaced the same part - sham cover (according to my invoices). i totally don't get why this is a not a recall issue. it is very frustrating to take my car in for the same issue, and of course, now that the warranty has expired, i'm sure it will be even more costly.... which i really think it will be the same thing! (of course, i'm not a mechanic, but if i'm taking my car in for the same reason and they diagnose it and repair that same part; i'm beginning to wonder.... why even charge me for a diagnostic test when your chances are it's the same issue!!) is this a part that only last a maximum of so many miles? i purchased the car in 3/2015; and the 1st time i received service for this issue was 6/29/2015, and then again 2/24/2017. i'm so confused!!! :( come on gm ~ help us out please!!

The car has less than 40,000 miles on it and the catalytic converter needs replaced? the chevy garage folks told my 23 year old daughter it could break suddenly while accelerating. they said it was shot. next, they gave her a quote of over $900 to replace it. they said their cost was $750. not sure which is more dangerous, the bad catalytic converter or the chevy garage.

Vehicle hesitates when merging onto highway traffic. this began happening after i owned the car for more than 3 years without similar incidents. its dangerous because just when you need power to merge, the power dips instead which is potentially likely to end in being rear-ended. vehicle was taken to the chevy dealership where it was purchased. they kept it four days and stated they could find nothing wrong because they found no codes. they state it might be due to "turbo lag" which is normal. it is not normal as i have owned the car almost 4 years before this began happening.

Car will turn off while driving. ive owned this car for a little over a year and just started doing this 5 times in the last 2 weeks. this has happened while on highway in traffic, twice in town in traffic. the car is in motion on the higway when this happened, it also has happened turning onto higway with other cars behind me i almost got rear ended by a car behind me cause the car lost power! it has also turn itself off and on in park. this needs to be fixed before there is a major accident that causes bodly harm!!! this is a safety hazarrd!!! i bought extended warranty on this car. i have an appointment with the dealership july 31st to find the issue. i also have contacted gm. i know that there was a recall for ignition problems concerning this vehilce in 2014, when you pull up my vin there has been no recall. i am very concerned for my safty in this car. i have had a friend that has a code reader look and it said there is an engine issue???? i do not want to have to get an attorney involved but i will if this becomes an issue. this is very scary!!!!

When hot, the engine hesitates when accelerating. we live in a metropolitan area and when entering an expressway the car hesitates when merging into traffic. very dangerous and scary situation! this happens quite often. the gm service tech's say they can't find anything wrong. grant you somethings wrong!

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. while operating the vehicle, the check engine warning indicator remained illuminated. the contact stated that the vehicle would jerk and the engine would rev while stopped at a stop light. the vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer where it was diagnosed that the intake manifold was faulty and needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failures, but no assistance was offered. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 130,000.

For a little over a year, i have experienced the radio shutting off and on, stabilitrak showing as needing service, the car shuddering, and the check engine light coming on. i have brought the car into a mechanic 3 times to determine what may be causing the check engine light to come on, and 3 times the computer says air intake. i have had just about everything changed, check engine light goes off, i drive for about 30 minutes, and it comes back on. over $700.00 in replacement parts and labor, and still the problem persists. today 7/1/2018, i drove down to have the oil changed and for the first time, the engine light has not come on, but now the car does not want to start and sounds like the starter or the battery is dying. this is above and beyond the most frustrating car problem i have every had, and i can't seem to find anyone capable of answering the problems with this car. the electrical problems spring up in the middle of nowhere while driving in town, and it seems to be okay for a few days if you mess with the battery cables, but they have already been replaced once and the problem is back!!!

I was driving to work on the freeway and noticed the car was swaying and wobbling ... i had got 4 brand new tires about a month and a half ago so i didn't think it was that. the next day, same thing driving to work but this time in addition to swaying, it was jerking and loosing power or punch at times when pressing on the accelerator. the following day, same thing again, this time there was a warning light check stability trak, something like that. i also noticed the check engine light on. it also began jerking even more and when i parked it, the fan was very loud and running even though the car was not overheated. when driving home and stopping at lights, my car jerked more and only stopped temporarily whe n in parked or if i pressed on the gas. i am concerned the recalls for my car was never addressed, even though it is "saying" no recalls for my vin. what should i do? i am not sure i should drive it far based on what others have said happened to them when driving on the freeway or loosing control thru an intersection.
