When driving the car flickers the radio in and out and then the radio gos completely out and service stability tracker and service service traction control pops up or the steering wheel locks and service power steering pops up and the car shut off right then and there.
Ever since owning the cruze, we've had nothing but engine issues. first the turbo went out a month after purchasing the car. two thermostats and a complete oil flush. the engine blew at 104,023 miles. the car was flashing engine light and stabiltract light. the car since owning has made a very loud ticking noise. the car also had a hard time maintaining speed. acceleration and deceleration. this happened any time the vehicle speed was over 30mph.
Everything on the dash shut off. heat and air shut off. service stability track warning comes on. engine fan running all the time. steering locks.
When idling the vehicle will have small fluctuations in rpm that make the car feel like it will stall. while driving the warning signs of "service stabili trak" and "service traction control" as well as the engine light come onto the display on the dash. "battery saver mode" has also appeared before. once all of the car lights as well as the radio and other electronic portions of the vehicle all shut off when this happened including power steering ability. have had the alternator as well as the engine replaced at menikiee and the issue is still persisting.
While attempting to start my vehicle it will not turn over. then the check engine light flashes on and off. the display then reads service theft deterrent system. service tire monitoring and will then completely lock up. this has happened to me roughly 4 times in the last few months. the only way to get the car to start is with a jump. the battery, starter and alternator are all good and are not causing the issue.
The page previous to this one would not let my check every box (3 max), the other things i would have checked that were affected are -lighting -speed control -steering -wiper -traction pictures show these two signals that pop up "service stabilitrak" and "service traction control". whilst im driving some come things start to happen; the radio/ dash stereo will flicker on and off- all noise stops (any music or blinkers), the heater/ ac wil stop blowing if it is on. sometimes when this happens my power steering will also go out, jerking the steering wheel while im driving, and happens alot when im turning (very scary). the dash will also flicker with abs, brake, traction, lights. some days it will happen very frequently ,other days it will only happen a couple times. i am uncertain what i am doing that is making it act this way. when i am at a stoplight, or drive thru and the same thing as above happens my engine will suddenly shut off while my windshield wipers activate out of no where- very startling (this has happened while my gear shift was in park and while im holding the brake in drive). this has happened multiple times and while in different situations, stationary, in motion, city street, highway, turning, going straight, braking, none of this has happened until a few months ago. sometimes when i start my car in the morning to warm i come back outside and then engine had shut itself off. the traction does not seem like it is gripping to the road very well, winter has just started, and i am scared to drive it. i am going to get it checked out at a chevy dealership as soon as i get the money. i have just now had the car for a year, myself. thank you.
My vehicle has been having issues where it will take extra time to get it started up. when i finally do get it started, warning lights flash saying power steering system, the antitheft stays on, as well as the engine management light. i just had my car serviced not too long ago for a coolant leak on the engine hose. i have always kept up with oil changes as well as all other fluid levels checked regularly. i first began thinking it was the battery, however i have had the battery tested and it is still basically new.
While driving, the engine suddenly stopped and messages appeared on dash about servicing air bag and power steering. very dangerous as car was moving 45 mph and had to move to shoulder. towed to dealer and was told it was negative battery cable. happened again - towed it back to dealer and was told it was positive battery cable.
I took my 2014 chevy cruze ltz to the chevrolet dealers in 2 different occasions about 2 years apart. the same issue persists. i get all the electric systems to start blinking and turning off and on for a minute and a message appears saying "service stability control". the power steering goes off, and the breaks and the car keeps running so it is dangerous to drive. it caused the car battery to be damaged because the sulfuric acid evaporated and made the car stink so much like rotten eggs. i took it it under warranty they couldn't figure it out (i tested the battery independently and it was perfect-so it was the alternator), i took it again after warranty expired and still they just replaced the (replacement) battery again but i might be risking my life by driving this car which has the "stability" error at random times for a minute and then it disappears but at the dealers they say that they cannot test it unless it happens in front of them.
While driving my car the radio dashboard will start flashing on and off on its own then when i put the car in park and turn it off the key is stuck in the ignition and the dashboard is completely black and the car will not turn on at all. 3/28/2019 around 11pm the car radio dash board was flashing and i turn my car off and it will not allow me to take the key out at all well some time through out the night the car turned back on because at 6am the lights where back on in my car by itself. the next morning i drive my car to school and it does the same thing with the dashboard and flashing on and off and it shuts off again, this time i get a jump start and the car is back working. the car also act as if it was going to shut off while driving it. but it has done this to me back on november 8,2018. i fear for my life driving this car beacuse you have no idea when the car will shut off while on the road. someone has to do something about this issue because if some one die in a car accident and it is found to be electrical problems there is a big law suit coming. i am making this complaint just for that. we spends literally thousands of dollars on a car and when the car has a defect the consumers are messed over by the dealerships and whom ever makes the car. then you have to have so many complaints in order for a recall or is it how many people have to die in order for someone to look and see that this car has electrical issues and will shut off on you at ant time.hello! it never fails the car starts giving you issue after the warranty has expired its like they have it program.i am complaining because they are avoiding the fact that this car has major electrical issues and how many complaints or lives will it take for a recall? my car was stationary, in motion, on the highway when this all happened. ref#14v417000 the dealership replace the black cable but my car is still
Multiple dash and system failures resulting in stalls and loss of steering and power. essentially locking up. very dangerous conditions in traffic. most recently dash indicating anti-thief deterrent system warning. these conditions have happened over the last full year. dealer diagnosis was nill. i have been having to review public videos for help. may or may not be a negative cable battery issue but chevrolet has yet to recall this! i am fearing for my safety.
I had the car for almost 4 years and some warranty has expired. now i'm experiencing lots of problems. first it was coolant leak, radiator, water pump, thermostat and now the head gasket are out called dealership & gm and they say the can't do nothing about it. currently still paying for a for the car and have not received no help for either parties mention above. i will like to know if this car is in the lemon law or if someone can help me. thank you
The steering wheel sticks when i am driving. it's extremely noticeable when driving on the highway or making turns. the electrical system comes on and off when the vehicle is operational. all of a sudden my radio will go on and off and the air conditioner and the heater will stop working. i have 5 children and 3 still at home and i'm afraid to drive my car but unfortunately it's all we have.
When the vehicle comes to a stop the headlights start to glitch, the radio goes off and a warning for the stabilitrak comes on as well as a power steering warning. once the car comes to a stop intermittently it will go completely dead and the negative battery cable if tapped on will cause the vehicle to come back on with no issue. battery has been replaced as new but issue still occurs
I will be driving when all of the lights on my dash start going on and off , power service track shows up, my radio will shut off and it becomes a black screen. i will be driving or stopped at a red light or turning and the car will actually completely turn off and start coasting. if i am at a stop light i will than have to put the car into park and then turn the key to start the engine again. i have had to jump my car numerous time to where i keep a portable jump in my car. my key will get locked in the ignition and i have to stick a wrench under the steering wheel to get it out. i have replaced my alternator and my battery was so swollen i had to replace that as well. the wiring was replaced to connect the battery and alternator and i just had the bcm replaced. i'm still having all these issues after all these repairs. this has been happening since november of last year and it happens every time i drive my car!
Stabilitrak vendor keeps coming on. when i'm driving and make a turn, my car seems as if it's gliding. my breaks skip, especially when hitting a bump and they act as if they don't want to stop. my car cuts on and off in traffic, i've almost died several times while turnning. completely shuts off, steering wheel locks up and all. my car is now wrecked due to these defects. it was raining, i was turning, car got to gliding and sliding, breaks went out and my car lost control! i almost flipped! i just bought the car! pictures in my phone
While driving my radio starts to flash on/off, stabilitrak, check engine light flashes on the dashboard. while making a left turn the steering wheel became stiff. if i didn't have control of my car i would've hit the curb and/or another car. all while my kids were in the vehicle. i have read other complaints dealing with the same issue, why hasn't this been issued as a safety recall yet????
While driving, the vehicle loses power and you have to put the car in neutral and restart. i have taken the car to greatwood auto in sugar land a few times and they are not able to find a problem.
I was in motion / driving making a right turn on a city street, used my turn indicator and the radio shut off as well as the dashboard flashed the traction control alert. i have not had this situation happen before but it is very concerning.
Vehicle is experiencing severe issues with the power when vehicle is in motion. on several occasions i have been driving down the road and the vehicle will all of a sudden, without warning shut down multiple essential components - including power steering, headlights, radio will go in and out, display screen will go off, turn signals, etc. pretty much anything that takes power will fail. however the vehicle will still remain on (and not in aux mode) and acceleration will not be affected. around the time that these issues began a warning light for stabilitrack came on the dash board and several more warning lights have come on since. this has occurred when vehicle has been on city streets and freeway including as i have been negating a turn. this has caused an extreme safety hazard as i have almost lost control of vehicle and run off the road or hit other vehicles head on during the failure.
Unfortunately, this is the 3rd time that my 2014 chevy cruze has this issue. my engine light stays on while the stabilock service flashes on the dashboard; car jerks while either idle and/or stopped; a loud squeaking noise from under the hood (all these issues always start at the same time!!). i have taken my car to chevy dealerships and they have (supposedly) replaced the same part - sham cover (according to my invoices). i totally don't get why this is a not a recall issue. it is very frustrating to take my car in for the same issue, and of course, now that the warranty has expired, i'm sure it will be even more costly.... which i really think it will be the same thing! (of course, i'm not a mechanic, but if i'm taking my car in for the same reason and they diagnose it and repair that same part; i'm beginning to wonder.... why even charge me for a diagnostic test when your chances are it's the same issue!!) is this a part that only last a maximum of so many miles? i purchased the car in 3/2015; and the 1st time i received service for this issue was 6/29/2015, and then again 2/24/2017. i'm so confused!!! :( come on gm ~ help us out please!!
Car was stolen left front end was damage. paid 2500 for repair. pick up car 07/27/2018. the was in the shop 03/2018. they the car back to me no air bags. no front for cover on the sterring wheel. they want to pay another 279.00 for air bags. now their a sound coming from under the car. i just don't have extra money insurance did pay off because i was not driving the car. the car do drive the same it keep cutting off. the speed is 20 to 40 it wontt go any higher and the engine is not shutting off. the is trying to zoom fast on its on. iam really scare.
For a little over a year, i have experienced the radio shutting off and on, stabilitrak showing as needing service, the car shuddering, and the check engine light coming on. i have brought the car into a mechanic 3 times to determine what may be causing the check engine light to come on, and 3 times the computer says air intake. i have had just about everything changed, check engine light goes off, i drive for about 30 minutes, and it comes back on. over $700.00 in replacement parts and labor, and still the problem persists. today 7/1/2018, i drove down to have the oil changed and for the first time, the engine light has not come on, but now the car does not want to start and sounds like the starter or the battery is dying. this is above and beyond the most frustrating car problem i have every had, and i can't seem to find anyone capable of answering the problems with this car. the electrical problems spring up in the middle of nowhere while driving in town, and it seems to be okay for a few days if you mess with the battery cables, but they have already been replaced once and the problem is back!!!
I have had repeated electrical issues with this car. it started with the radio shutting on & off on its own. then the stabilitrack started flashing on. the first few times that was all it was, but in the fall of 2017, that sensor would come on & my brakes & steering were affected. in addition, the car will have moments where it blanks out just briefly while driving, usually noticed by the radio going off & on. i have also had the key get locked in the ignition. yesterday, 6/17/18, i went to start my car in a parking lot & several sensors came up, battery charging system, stabilitrack, & power steering. car would not start, i kept shutting off the radio, & it would come back on. car rested for 2 hours & then started again. once driving, the steering was not right. took a quarter of a mile of driving before the steering wheel did not pull 1/4 of the way to the left on its own. i have taken this car into the dealer with all of these complaints except the incident yesterday. their solution has been new battery and new battery cables-twice. in the fall of 2017, i mentioned seeing similar issues online & they dismissed it. i just called about the 6/17/18 issue & i am getting the run-around from them.
I was driving to work on the freeway and noticed the car was swaying and wobbling ... i had got 4 brand new tires about a month and a half ago so i didn't think it was that. the next day, same thing driving to work but this time in addition to swaying, it was jerking and loosing power or punch at times when pressing on the accelerator. the following day, same thing again, this time there was a warning light check stability trak, something like that. i also noticed the check engine light on. it also began jerking even more and when i parked it, the fan was very loud and running even though the car was not overheated. when driving home and stopping at lights, my car jerked more and only stopped temporarily whe n in parked or if i pressed on the gas. i am concerned the recalls for my car was never addressed, even though it is "saying" no recalls for my vin. what should i do? i am not sure i should drive it far based on what others have said happened to them when driving on the freeway or loosing control thru an intersection.
Driving 70 mph down highway, turn turn signal on to change lanes and, loss of power steering, radio shuts off and service stabilitrak light comes on. all happening simultaneously. this is the second time this has happened. the 1st time i nearly ran into a parked vehicle while turning into a neighborhood.
I've noticed a problem electrical because bluetooth pauses during use. windshield wipers fluid not reaching windshield. horn stopped working. key lock control stopped working. all has to do with electrical. noticed brown rust on inside of driver side back wheel. passenger front tire continues to deflate.
2014 chevrolet cruze is flashing traction control light and radio is turning off intermittently while in motion. this started around may 1, 2018 and now has occurred on 4 separate occasions. there are currently no recalls for this problem and needs to be addressed with general motors.
I own a 2014 chevrolet cruze. while driving 45 mph, the traction control warning light illuminated along with the check engine light. i tried to diagnose the vehicle by connecting to a code reader but the vehicle would not give diagnoses code. the manufacture wasn't informed nor repaired. the failure was intermittent. the contact stated that the vehicle would occasionally make a noise from the front when the warning lights appear. the approximate failure mileage is 68,678.
I purchased this vehicle used from a dealership 27 days ago. two days ago i went to restart car after a short drive and the car did not crank, dash remained black, key was stuck in ignition. my daughter in law told me to pop the hood and upon wiggling battery cables freed the key from stuck position and i was able to start the car and drive home. this is when i learned this is not the first time of occurrence. i was hospitalized several days after purchase and my kids used the car. they neglected to tell me twice they lost power while in motion and car shut off. the first time was while exiting off the freeway. the second was while making turn after idling at a red light several minutes. both times the vehicle power steering ceased and steering became difficult. on another occasion they experienced a no start similar to mine, a short drive, then car was parked and shut off for a short time , no crank at restart, black dash, stuck key. i had previously mentioned to dealer tech that car fails to keep current date and time. each day i note it has reverted back again to the year 2010 and an incorrect time. a reset like click in engine compartment several minutes after turning off engine is frequently heard. radio and dash lights have flashed while car is in motion on several occasions now.
Chevy 2014 cruze has malfunctioning sensors in the bumper of the car.the car gets wet.the sensors shut down and the battery won't charge and the car comes to a complete stop. the solution from g:m is to replace negative battery cable and the sensors and wire harness . how ever they will not issue a recall and this is very dangerous. my daughters battery went dead on the freeway. after research battery was replaced and negative cable replaced but g:m wants $2800.00 to replace sensors..this car has 52,000 miles on it and it's not safe..g:m admits they upgraded the sensors and harness so it's not supposed to happen again.won't stand behind the original product. these vehicles are in danger of shutting down at any speed and at anytime. at least they should issue a recall on the negative battery cable not a service bulletin #314...
My display and radio began intermittently flashing off and on. then my stabilitrak service light began coming on. i have loss of power and am concerned for my safety trying to drive under these conditions. i am contacting the manufacturer who should warranty this manufacturing defect. there are hundreds of complaints on the chevy forum website. we deserve some sort of help with this and not at our expense. the problem i described happened while stationary and in motion but the loss of power is while driving. i'm concerned about getting hit while driving. please help. Tl-contact owns a 2014 chevy cruze . contact was driving on main road and steering locked up while attempting to maintain speed and stay in lane. contact spoke with chevy dealership in north charleston south carolina (josh). chevy stated that there are no recalls on vehicle. vehicles are being fixed as they experience the steering problems. steering wheel over corrects itself after locking into straight position.contact stated she spoke with chevy hq office - hq office said to call nhtsa. 0 recalls associated with this vin.
When you are coming to a stop either at a stop light, sign, or yielding off the interstate. the car begins to idle very hard shaking the entire vehicle back and forth. then it shuts off while the ignition is still running. you literally have to put the car back in park, turn if off then turn it back on to fix the problem. i still do not have a engine light showing there is something wrong with the car. but it is happening more and more.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. on several occasions, either while stopped at a traffic light or while driving various speeds, the stabilitrac warning indicator illuminated. additionally, the instrument cluster and the vehicle's radio failed to operate as intended. the vehicle was taken to mark's casa chevrolet (7201 lomas blvd ne, albuquerque, nm 87110, (505) 262-8600), but the failure could not be duplicated and a fault code could not be retrieved. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 49,000.
The vehicle's radio flashes on and off and a 'service stabilitrak' warning comes on the odometer screen. i have read this causes serious issues with others that have had the same problem and there is no known fix.
Radio or touch panel restarted then vehicle began shaking and making vibration noises enigine noises error light began flashing and stability track was on the driver information center about a mile further down the road everything cleared up to include the flashing engine light. now it is on again and doesnt clear up cannot drive it. recently have replaced at my expense the pcv cover and pcv twice, the entire ac delco intake due to massive oil consumpotion the crank seal due to squealing the coil pack and plugs due to a cracked insulator and electrolisis on the contacts. i now have 114,000 miles on it and read there is a recall on the battery grounding system that causes this current system and covers up to 120,000 miles? i searched and it has 0 recalls on this vehicle.
My car has recently started to have the radio to turn on and off randomly. sometimes more so when i push my brakes. also occasionally get a service stabilltrak warning that flashes and goes away. from what i can read online, others have this problem with no solution. some situations have gotten bad and i want to avoid that at all costs and get this fixed, or figure out if i have to trade it in and get a new vehicle.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. the contact stated that the service engine and service stability traction control warning indicators kept illuminating. the dealer (tim short chevrolet, 500 thompson hollow, williamson, ky 41503, (606) 237-1220) who sold the vehicle was made aware that the failure had progressed within a week of ownership; however, no diagnostic testing was provided. the vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer or an independent mechanic. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that there was no recall. the manufacturer advised that the vehicle be taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. the failure mileage was not available.
While driving multiple times the "service power steering" message appeared on the dash. the steering wheel became tight and as i turned the car jerked outward almost causing me to hit other vehicle. also the message "open, then close driver window" appears frequently. the radio and speedometer flickers on and off at times. i believe that there is an electrical issue but the the specific area is unknown. another incident occurred that caused the car not to start on 7/172017
Car shakes when breaking at high speeds, car sound system shuts off and blinked noises stop. abs, ebrake light, and traction control light come on. screen behind wheel displays "serviceable stabilitrak" and "service traction control" messages. vehicle is in motion and brakes are usually being pressed. shaking of vehicle happens on the highway and messages and light appear while on city streets.
While driving on the highway, all the power went off and the steering seized for a short period and then came back on and reset itself. this happened twice within 30 minutes. this also occurred when backing out of a driveway where all power was lost and the steering wheel seized until it came back on and reset itself. this is a very serious safety issue where lives are at stake and find it appauling that gm has not issued a recall for this problem but rather issuing a service bulletin? these complaints are all over the internet . . . obviously this is a critical issue for many consumers.
My wife had come back from a dr. appt. approx. 52 miles away from her place of employment on monday 5/15/17 at approx. 1:15pm. as she approached her employment, she made a left turn on a side street that separates two auto dealerships, where employees park on the side of the street. she noticed an empty parking spot on the opposite side of the street and decided to make a u-turn to park there. as she slowed down to attempt the u-turn, she made a slight left to begin the u-turn and at that moment all the vehicle's warning lights on the dash lit up, the message center screen located at the center of the cluster on the dash read "stabilink system disabled" and had lost all power steering. upon losing steering, the steering wheel snapped back and broke her wrist in two places. the loss of steering resulted in our vehicle slightly impacting the vehicle parked to her immediate right. i (her husband) arrived literally minutes after the loss occurred, triaged her arm and needed to move the vehicle out of the street. upon entering the vehicle, it was still running and had noticed all the dash and vehicle warning lights on, including the "stabilink disabled" message on the dash. as i began to drive it approx. 20 yards to an empty parking space, the vehicle had no power steering yet it was running. approx. 9 hours later, i had gone back to the vehicle to attempt to drive it to a local body shop to store it and upon starting the vehicle, all systems were running again, no warning lights were present on the dash and the power steering had been restored. i attempted to find any indication of a problem thru the message center without success. i filed an insurance claim on approx. 5/19, had the vehicle preserved for evidence and is now currently stored and not moved at the body shop. as of 6/15, injury sciences llc is scheduled to plug into the ecu or data event recorder.
All of the sudden, all dash lights become on and off then shot off car completely. then have trouble to start car with no power whatsoever.
Radio goes off and comes back on,warning lights come on and heat controls don't work. this is when you drive down the street. the radio went off 16 times in a 15 minute ride. this has happened for month's.
I purchased my car in april 2016 with approx 22,000. on the second day there was a loud noise coming from the front of the hood which it sounded very close towards the engine, exhaust part of the car. i took it in to the dealership and they didn't state what the issue was they just told me they had fixed it. the noise went away. 3 months later i started having issues with my steering wheel locking. i was at a big intersection when i was turning left my steering wheel locked on me and my entire lights including the dashboard went out. i couldn't move my car in the middle of the intersection and luckily there wasn't cars coming towards me. it took about 10-20 seconds to come back on. when it did come back on there was a lot of lights popping up and then there was a "stabili trak" light on. i pulled over to the side because i knew i couldn't drive it anymore. i called my dealership and i took it in that same day. they told me it was a wire that was loose and they had fixed it. well they did not, 3 weeks later the same thing happened to me and they didn't know what was going on then. i took it in again and the problem went away for about 2 months and now i am back to the same thing except something new. not only does my light come up and my steering wheel still locks on me but my car began shaking last night and when i would drive it it would make the same loud noise from the beginning towards the front of the car towards the engine, and it would hesitate on going when i would make a stop. like if it was about to fully turn off so my car got towed to a dealership last night. the issues were not fixed and they are only getting worse.these issues should've been taken care the first time i had gone to the dealership. now it's the 4th time i have gone to a dealership and nothing is being resolved and i pretty sure now there is a big issue with my engine with so little miles!
The radio dashboard powers on and off (frequently at times). it appeared to happen more when the car was stopped at red light. it didn't occur often when the car was on the highway on cruise control. twice when this happened, the main dashboard would display the following statement: "service stabilitrak" this begin happening on january 29, 2017, and it has happened daily (at least once) since.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet cruze. the contact stated that the radio and back up camera failed to display intermittently. the vehicle was taken to sandoval buick gmc (300 n hamilton rd, columbus, oh 43213) where the cause of the failure was undetermined. the vehicle was not repaired; however, the failure persisted. in addition, the vehicle stalled and the electronic stability warning error illuminated. the vehicle was taken back to sandoval buick gmc, but was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 33,000. the vin was not provided.
The car turns off while i am driving, no matter where i have had it turn off on the expressway and street while in drive and at times it the rpm idles while im at the stop like and parked. i have contacted chevy but they didn't want to honor the powertrain warranty and i was not to told not to come back to ron craft chevy. so i took it to miller auto body and repair, here in houston, they recommend that i replace the engine cover i did out of my own pocket even though its was supposed to be honored at the chevy dealership under powertrain. i still continue to drive the car but it still losses power and turns off while im driving. last night the battery died, i replaced it with a new today but the car still shuts down and stops while i'm driving. i don't know what to do and why this is happening and why chevy isn't honoring the powertrain warranty on the faulty engine components, the stability track stays and the check engine lights stays on and a traction lights stays on. i have done regular maintenance on this car every since i bought it, every maintenance inspections were all done by chevy, i just don't under stand why they play dumb when honoring my powertrain warranty. *tr
Service engine light flashed with messages to service both stabilitrak and traction control. later that same day noticed jerking of engine so strong it shook the car while idling and constant loud squeeling noise. also noticed the vehicle lags on acceleration/take off after idling. this happened at approx 29,500 miles.
