Tl* the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. during vehicle inspection a mechanic and a technician from the dealer concluded that the frame had severe corrosion. however no repairs were made. the current and failure mileages were 98000. the vehicle identification number was unavailable.

I read today that the nhtsa is investigating 2000 toyota tundras for severe frame corrosion. i have a 2000 tundra that has severe frame corrosion. the truck has 215,000 miles (all of it in wisconsin). i just wanted to add my name to the list. *tr doug sabatke monticello wisconsin

Tl*the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. while driving 60 mph he noticed that the cap began to rub against the front end of the vehicle. after examining the vehicle the he noticed that the frame was cracked in half. the vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer. the contact also noticed that prior to the failure, the brake lines were damaged by rust. the current and failure mileages were 135000. updated 12/8/09 *cn updated 12/09/09.*jb

Drivers side front brake line rupture when pedal was depressed due to heavy corrosion/oxidation. front cross member broke off from frame due to heavy rust and/or corrosion. i welded cross member back to frame and replaced brake line. spare tire seems close to breaking off as with many other components due to rust. i don't drive truck anymore due to fear of my and my family's safety. vin number i have seems to be invalid, if you want vin please contact me and i will copy from truck, thanks. *tr

1. my 2000 toyota tundra srt has serious undercarriage rust, and large pieces of metal are beginning to fall from the frame. the main beams of the frame are beginning too deteriorate, also the brake lines are corroded and brake fluid is beginning to seep through the lines. 2. rusted pieces of metal randomly fall from vehicle, and could cause damage or seriously injure other drivers on the road. the brake lines could rupture from the severe deterioration and lead to an accident. 3. currently i am not driving the vehicle until i get new brake lines, but there is nothing that can be done to the frame of the vehicle except recalling the truck. toyota needs to recall the toyota tundra before any major accidents occur and some one is fatally injured. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. while driving 45 mph he struck a pothole, and then the shock punctured through the drivers side shock mount. upon further inspection he noticed corrosion on the vehicles frame. the failure and current mileages were 99,244. updated 10/19/09 *cn the dealer stated there was no immediate danger. updated 10/19/09. *jb consumer is updating information. 10/20/09. *nj added service dealer info. updated 10/20/09

I have a toyota tundra 2000 with approximately 90,000 miles. it is suffering massive frame rust, especially on the differential and weld points. the spare tire fell off unknown to us sometime last year (2009). the frame is a disaster in the making. our mechanic is concerned at this rate it may be uninspectable in 1 to 2 years. *tr updated 03/25/10 *bf received pictures. updated 09/15/10*jb

2000 toyota tundra rust issues. cracked frame due to excessive rust, both cab mounts are rusted completely, and collapsed. cab is now resting on bed. cross members are rusted completely through. had to remove spare tire so it wouldn't fall from the truck. *tr

I have a 2000 toyota tundra that has a rusted out and cracked rear cross member in the frame. the frame member holds the spare tire in place and while changing rear shocks at the end of september i noticed how rusted the cross member and the rest of the frame is, what is left of the cross member is cracking so i no longer have the tire under the truck. a mechanic verified this while he was under the truck replacing the power steering rack that also rusted out .my wife lost the power steering while driving the truck. the mechanic told me he had never seen the power steering rack rust out or that much rust on the frame of a truck with 88,000 on it and that the frame would have to be welded to make it right. i have filed a claim with toyota ( claim # 0910135009 ) and was told they are looking in to it. from what i've herd and read im not the only one with this problem.i would hate to see what would happen if someone lost their spare tire while going down the highway. i have heard that 2000 and 2001 tundra frames were made in the same place the tacomas were and i did receive a recall on my previous truck a 2000 tacoma. thank you for your time. *tr

I have a 2000 toyota tundra with severe frame rusting. my local mechanic has discovered a through hole in the left frame rail and a dangerously thin left rear spring shackle support. i am concerned the frame could fail while driving and that the vehicle will not pass the state safety inspection. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. while having body repairs performed, the mechanic concluded that the frame had corrosion. he has yet to determine if the vehicle was repairable. the failure and current mileages were 135,000.

I have a 2000 toyota tundra sr5 access cab 4wd pick up that has 131,000 miles. failed the state safety inspection due to a rusted out crossmember in the rear of the vehicle. it was also pointed out to me the poor condition of the frame in many other areas. it is obvious toyota has a serious safety issue on their hands with frame rot. the tacoma's proved that. why aren't they including these tundra's with the same issues? i do have a small child that rides in the vehicle so i'm very concerned. *tr

I recently noticed extensive frame rust on my toyota tundra. on september 28, 2009, i took it to the toyota dealer for a frame inspection. the inspection found significant rust and as a result of the inspection, the dealer determined that the vehicle is unsafe to drive. the dealer said there was nothing they could do about it since there had been no recall program or other action by toyota. the dealer did tell me that toyota did establish a program for the tacoma. in fact, the dealer used a worksheet form the tacoma program to note the location and extent of corrosion. on september 29, 2009, i called toyota customer service about the problem but they did not offer any relief or remedy. i was given a case number of 0909141286 and told that a case manager would call me. on september 30, 2009, a toyota case manager called me but said at this time there was nothing they could do. i was told that toyota had received similar complaints from other owners and was investigating the issue. i was told that there was nothing in place to assist me with my problem, even though a dealer had already inspected my vehicle and declared that it was unsafe to drive due to the rust problem. i was told that there is no date by which the toyota investigation will be completed and there was nothing they can do for me in the meantime. i need my truck for transportation now. i am requesting the assistance of the nhtsa to compel toyota to provide a remedy to me for this safety defect in the vehicle. *tr

I have been aware of problems with early model toyota tundra frame rust problems and have followed with interest toyota's response [none]however, i feel obliged to inform you that on friday 25th the gas tank straps failed while driving and the gas tank fell of the vehicle as luck would have it i was slowing down to make a turn so the consequences were limited. but, 30 seconds earlier at 55 mph this most likely would not have been a limited consequence situation. *tr updated ivoq 06/30/10.*jb

I brought my 2000 toyota tundra in to be serviced at my toyota dealership. it was determined then to be unsafe to drive. the dealership determined that the frame is rusted out and the leaf spring has penetrated the truck bed. this truck has regularly been maintained at the dealership where it was purchased. additional rust proofing was purchased at the time of purchase. other than the rusting frame, the vehicle works very well. now it cannot be driven and there is no suggestion that it can be fixed. i am aware that toyota has had the same problem with the tacoma model and that toyota has reimbursed tacoma owners one and one half times the blue book value. i am also aware that toyota acknowledges the problem with the tundra. unfortunately, they are unresponsive to me. i am currently renting a vehicle in order to get to work as i await the next step in this process. the dealership has told me to leave the vehicle with them as it is unsafe and unfit to drive. there seems to be some inequity in this situation. i have been encouraged to report this to you. *tr

Rusting frame and cross members. rust coming through the bed just where it is mounted to the rusty frame. before long the bed looks like it might rust off completely. this is a terrible rust issue. this is my second 2000 tundra that i have owned and it also had terrible frame rust. *tr

The frame of my 2000 toyota tundra is severely rusted. so far both front end sway bars have failed and needed to be replaced. other parts (such as the leaf springs) look close to failure. the vehicle did pass this years state inspection but i was warned that it may be difficult to pass next year. *tr

Severe frame rust. broken leaf spring, powere steering line leaking due to rust. *tr

I was told by service technician changing my oil that i had some very significant rust on the frame of my 2000 tundra. i have been finding rust flakes on my garage floor and after reading about people having frame failures i contacted the toyota customer center to see if there was any type of recall. they took my information and specifically asked if i had holes in the frame? toyota representative was most cordial but explained that toyota has not yet taken action to address how they might assist tundra owners with this issue. i have scheduled an inspection for my tundra's frame with a toyota dealer for next week. there is rust on entire frame and it is very rusted on the springs and holders. every welded joint has flaking and showing separating layers. i don't believe i will be towing or carrying heavy weight till i'm assured the rust ed parts have proper integrity to support weight and speeds. tell everyone you know to with a 2000-2001 tundra with rust to call toyota!!!!!! and file a complaint here. toyota wants to know, and we need some answers and assistance in making sure frames are safe. *tr

i own a 2000 toyota tundra truck with 63,000 miles. frame is rusting out..there are holes near the frame shackles that are rusted through...this all appeared within a year and a half..contacted local toyota dealership and also logged a customer complaint to toyota headquarters. to date nothing is being done by toyota to correct this dangerous condition. please look into this...i'm not the only one with this problem. *tr

My 2000 toyota tundra failed inspection due to frame rust. the steering rack rusted through and is no longer attached to the frame. i was told not to drive the vehicle until it is repaired. the frame has many areas that are in similar condition. *tr

I have a 2000 toyota tundra, access cab, 4wd truck with 160,000 +/- miles. i purchased the vehicle used from the original owner who lived in the akron, ohio area. i have noticed significant section loss to frame members, cross members and cab supports. presently, the frame is completely perforated on the underneath side near the passenger front door. additionally, the passenger middle cab support has corroded completely off, the front drivers cab support has rusted completely away and the front bumper/impact guard has completely rusted off. i have contacted the dealership and corporate headquarters two separate times. they have responded promptly all three times; however, the issue is still be investigated at the "executive level". additionally, i have had to replace one of the rear brake lines and the fuel tank strap due to failure from corrosion. the vehicle is in excellent mechanical shape and body is nearly flawless. i have photos available. the frame seems to be most severely deteriorated at the boxed section near the transmission support cross member. under normal driving conditions (i.e. not towing/no payload) this would likely be the point in the structure associated with maximum bending. due to the box design- it is impossible to inspect the total amount of section loss; although, as previously stated the passenger side rail is completely perforated along the underneath side. i can attest that my father has a 2002 toyota tundra with no deterioration. it is unclear if toyota used a different treatment for the later model vehicles. most alarming to me, is how quickly y the corrosion has progressed. since last september, the corrosion has progressed from a surface rust appearance into bubbling and complete deterioration. *tr

I own a 2000 toyota tundra. i had it inspected for rust and it is said that it may not pass inspection next year. *tr

My rear left leaf spring shackle rusted out and broke on my 2000 tundra . i brought it to my mechanic for repair and as he was replacing the right side he called me to show a large 6 in crack in the frame just above where the tow hitch attaches. hard to see once the shackle was put back on. he told me the truck may become unsafe to drive and that i cannot tow anything . he pointed out, where the rear section of the frame is flaking off rust. *tr

I found holes in the frame of my 2000 toyota tundra in 2007 and immediately brought it to toyota. they said it wasn't covered under warranty but to watch it and it wasn't a big issue to have a little rust (this was during the tacoma recall). sept of 2008 i brought the truck in again since the rust was even worse they said again not a big issue but to keep an eye on it. in september of 2009 i was changing the oil and i saw that the front sway bar mount had totally rusted through and had fallen off - immediately called toyota corp - they said there is nothing they can do. my issue is that they have told me all along that this is not a big deal! but now its a safety issue ! it has since taken out a power steering line and there is a brake line that has been ruptured as well. now that the truck is worth nothing i want toyota to help me out. they told me it wasn't an issue, i believed them, now my truck is worthless! and the truck only has 130000 miles on it! this is nothing compared to all my other toyota trucks... *tr

I noticed the spare tire dangling underneath the vehicle. when i lowered the tire i noticed that the entire cross brace had rusted out and left the spare tire held by a thin rusted piece of metal. i removed the tire and keep it in the back of the truck. if that tire broke away while driving at 65 miles an hour, it could easily have killed someone. *tr

(1). i purchased a new 2000 toyota tundra extended cab limited at price toyota in delaware. in february 2009 i observed rust through of bracket from bed to frame visible through rear wheel well. requested that my wife report this to liberty toyota in nj during routine 5000 mile oil change. she was told that this was "not a problem". (2). in september 2009 truck was again taken to liberty toyota for 5000 mile oil change, purchase of 5 new tires and alignment. liberty toyota service told my wife that the truck was rusted to the point where they could no longer align the vehicle and no service was performed. liberty took photos of the underside of the truck and transmitted them to toyota. approximately two weeks later liberty told my wife that toyota's position was that because of the age and mileage (9 years and 110,000 miles ) that they would do nothing to resolve this issue. (3). in late september 2009 i purchased a 2006 toyota tundra crew cab 4 door tundra limited as a replacement vehicle for my wife a toyota runnemead, nj. on that same occasion the 2000 tundra was put on lift and inspected with a powerful light. observed various rust through of brackets and at least one fist sized hole through the frame. this was witnessed by the toyota runnemeade sales person, general manager, sales manager, and service manager. all agreed that this was worst case of rust they had seen, and were of the opinion that the truck was not safe to operate. (4). in october 2009 i contacted toyota customer service and received a case number. a few days later i again contacted toyota customer service and was told that "toyota is studying the problem". this sounded like a stall tactic and gave me little hope for any voluntary positive action from toyota. as of today 11 november 2009 i have had no further contact from toyota. (5). i have purchased or helped purchase 5 toyota trucks for my family. total expenditure approximately $150,000. *tr

My 2000 toyota tundra has 5 rust holes in the frame, which were found by a mechanic who was fixing a broken spring. i am unable to get this truck inspected and it has less than 100,000 miles on it! i was told by the local toyota dealership to bring the truck in and that day a toyota corporation service representative inspected the truck, took photos, filed a report and said it was unsafe to drive. toyota corporation provided me with a rental car which they were paying for. one month later the person from toyota corp. called me and told me i had to return the rental vehicle that day and pick up my truck (that was unsafe for the road) or they were going to begin charging me for the rental vehicle and start charging me storage on my tundra. toyota corporation offered me $2500 towards a new toyota truck due to my rusty tundra. seriously!! when are these trucks going to be recalled and owners be offered a reasonable compensation? my local toyota dealer service representative told me to hire a lawyer and have them call toyota corporation to represent me in getting both a new suspension and frame put on my truck or some sort of settlement. i am awaiting a response from toyota. *tr

2000 toyota tundra -- aggressive rust all over frame and other under-truck components. *tr

Extreme rust on the frame and brake lines of my 2000 toyota tundra caused the brake line to leak, resulting in loss of braking ability. i was fortunate enough to not be in an accident and at my cost had the brake line replaced the very next day. this cost me around 120.00. i was also informed by the repair shop that the whole frame of my 2000 tundra is badly damaged by rust and could be considered unsafe as there are parts near to the point of rusting through and falling off. the body and interior of this truck is in excellent shape and its mechanically sound at just over 82,000 miles. however i'm afraid at this point that more costly repairs could follow if my vehicle does not become completely unworthy to be on the road due to frame damage caused by the rust. i contacted the toyota experience helpline and spoke to a case manager and was informed that toyota is already "looking into this issue" but there is no action on toyotas part to make this right as of yet. until then i have an unsafe vehicle that i am paying for while in anticipation of future problems and repairs to pay for as well. *tr

Sever rust on the frame of my 2000 toyota tundra including bumper mounts, leaf spring mounts, spare tire rack. *tr

On august 24,2009 i asked my toyota dealer to inspect the frame of my tundra as i felt it was too rusty and i was concerned. they told me it looked fine but they really did not check it well. on saturday the 5th of september 2009 while driving down the road the rear cross member that holds the spare tire completely broke in half from the rust. the spare tire was still attached to the crank that holds it in place. i contacted the toyota dealership and also the toyota customer experience line to file a complaint. this is a severe safety issue as a vehicle behind me could have struck the tire and caused damage at best, or a tire going through a windshield at highway speeds. toyota corporate says they are checking into it but they keep telling me that because it is a 2000 tundra the warranty has expired. safety issues do not expire! the frame is rusting out and toyota is not helping. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. the dealer inspected the frame and advised the contact that the entire frame was covered with rust and was not repairable. the manufacturer stated that they are aware of the failure and that they would not be able to offer any assistance until they have completed their investigation. the contact is unable to drive the vehicle since the frame could fall apart at any time. the failure mileage was 190,000 and the current mileage was 198,000.

I have a 2000 toyota tundra. this has frame rust through issues. this is very similar to some of the tacoma frames i have seen, and i am reporting this because i am positive i am not the only tundra owner who is experiencing this amount of rust. the truck interior and body is in mint condition, with only 65,000 miles on it, it has a lot of life left, only the frame is not going to last long and is clearly a safety issue to both me, and other drivers on the road. the power steering rack has already broken away on one side of one cross member. had i not noticed, and rewelded the rack onto the frame the other side would have broken and i would have lost control of all steering. thank god this didn't happen will going down the interstate at 65mph. *tr

I own a 2000 toyota tundra and the frame is rotting. the sparetire fell off due to the rotting. the shock and shackle mounts are also rotting. *tr consumer is adding pictures. 10/26/09. *nj

Tl* the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. the contact stated that upon routine inspection there was corrosion on the frame. if the frame should fracture while driving there is an increased risk for safety hazard. the manufacturer was contacted. upon contact a representative stated the tacoma was recalled, but that they would not provide assistance for the tundra. he filed a formal complaint. an adjuster from the insurance company rendered the vehicle as completely destroyed. the failure and current mileages were 78,000. updated 01/20/10 *bf updated 01/22/10.*jb

2000 toyota tundra frame has holes due to rust - dealership took pictures, case filed with toyota 9/03/09. *tr

After my recent annual nh vehicle safety inspection, i was informed that my 2000 toyota tundra's frame had rusted to a point that they could put their fingers through the frame at several points and the truck would no longer pass inspection rendering the vehicle useless. *tr

I own a 2000 toyota tundra pick-up that has been maintained correctly by the toyota dealership. it has a severe rust problem underneath the truck on the frame and supporting parts. the body of the truck is in excellent condition. i have 89,000 miles on it and wanted to keep it for several more years. i am afraid i have a safety issue and am afraid to take the truck on the highway. i just recently put $2,000 into this at the dealer and nothing was said abut the rust. i cannot get toyota to address this. i want to know how to proceed...i need a vehicle to get to work and cant afford a new one without some help. please help me get this resolved. *tr

I have a 2000 toyota tundra. i was recently stopped by another motorist who stated that my spare tire was hanging down under the truck. i looked under the truck to find this was true. i jiggled the tire and it fell completely out from under the truck. the winch assembly was still attached to the wheel, but i can see that the crossmember that the winch would be attached to is completely rotted away. my truck is maintained at a toyota dealer and is current on its annual state inspection. i had never used the spare tire before, so i had never had a chance to see what the crossmember looked like behind the tire. i have closely checked the rest of the frame on the truck and it is in good condition. the rim on the spare tire is painted steel and was in contact with the crossmember since the truck was manufactured, yet the rim is in new condition with no rust. i have looked on line and it seems that many people are having similar problems with the crossmembers on these truck frames. i believe this is a potentialy very dangerous condition for other motorists and tundra truck owners who are unaware of the rust hidden behind their spare tire. if they have never used their spare tire, then they will not be able to see this condition developing. just prior to being stopped by the motorist who alerted me to the problem, i had been on the highway traveling at 65 mph! imagine if the spare tire had fallen out at that speed and was tumbling or bouncing into the path of other motorists! someone could have been seriously injured or killed. i did go to the toyota website and try to make contact. the person who called me back was polite, but seemed to miss the point i was trying to make about this being a possibly serious safety issue. they only stated that toyota accepts no responsibility, that this is probably due to living in the northeast and that repairs are at my own expense. please investigate. i think there may be more tundras like mine. i can supply photos. *tr

Driving down road and spare tire fell off underneath the truck and rolled down the middle of the road. took truck to toyota dealership because a neighbor (who is a service manager) looked at it and said it was unsafe and the whole bottom was rusted out.. toyota claimed the vehicle was safe that it was just a rusted bolt. two weeks later the muffler was loud so we took it to a midas dealership. the mechanic called me in and stated that the issue was not the muffler the bolts and clamps had rotted out and he needed to drill holes to attach new bolts. he told me that the bolts holding the joints on the bed of the truck was unsafe and he felt that i should not drive the vehicle and definitely not on the highway. so now i have had 2 people claim the vehicle is unsafe and the toyota dealers claims it is safe. the whole underneath is a big pile of rust. luckily no one was injured when the tire fell of while i was doing 50 miles an hour. i was allowing my teenage son to drive this vehicle, but now it spends most of its time sitting in the driveway because we are afraid of a safety concern. *tr

2000 toyota tundra sr5 xcab 4x4 has extreme flaking rust all over frame, front bumper to rear. body metal is fine. part of frame is buckling/flexing, front right stabilizer mount has snapped off with nothing to weld to. several weld areas have weakened or let go. problem became noticeable in 2005 (at 60,000 odometer miles). slowly got worse. logged case with toyota in 2008 when frame began to flex. no program to help. severely worse in 2009. updated case with toyota. still no offer of help or remedy, just "we are looking into it". no longer able to safely tow, will soon be unable to safely drive. body looks great, but chassis frame is flaking to nothing. *tr

Severe rust on frame. passenger side rear almost completely rusted through. spare tire carrier rusted off. *tr

3.on august 20th, 2009 while driving over a railroad track on north ferry street in albany, new york, at slow speed, the passenger side front bottom ball joint broke, causing the wheel to buckle with the bottom of the tire protruding outward. the constant velocity joint then broke at the joint near the transmission and pulled out. 4.the truck stopped immediately on the railroad tracks. these are active railroad tracks. two people were in the car at the time. 5.my wife enlisted the aid of a repair shop right next to the tracks. all of their tow trucks were out on calls, but there was a tractor with a bucket at the shop. they lifted the tundra with the bucket and pulled it off the tracks, denting the front hood in the process. about two minutes later a train went by on the tracks. 6.the truck was towed to northway toyota dealer in latham and inspected. there were multiple and extensive rust caused perforations on the frame. the stabilizer mount on the passenger side was ripped off the frame due to failure caused by rust. it is likely that the mount was off before the ball joint broke and may have been the ultimate cause of the accident. *tr

Frame rust / cross member corrosion. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for a routine service repair. the technician detected excessive rust corrosion. a technician with an authorized dealer stated that the sub frame exhibited two holes and excessive rust corrosion. the contact had concerns of the safety risk involved. the vehicle has not been repaired. there are photographs available upon request. the failure mileage was 113,000. the current mileage was 115,000. updated 05/05/10. *lj updated 05/06/10

Tl* the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. the frame had corrosion, and the brake line needed to be replaced. since the warranty expired he paid a local mechanic to make the repairs. the manufacturer was notified, but no assistance was provided. the failure mileage was 61,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. the sub frame of his vehicle has corrosion. the vehicle was taken to the dealer ,and then the manufacturer was notified. an engineer sent from toyota concluded that there was not defect present. the failure mileage was 20,000.

Tl*the contact owns a 2000 toyota tundra. during a routine oil change the mechanic observed that the frame of the vehicle was worn and refused to change the oil since the vehicle was unsafe to drive. the dealer offered him an opportunity to participate in the cash for cars program; however, he refused due to the value of the vehicle being undetermined. the manufacturer confirmed that they are aware of the failure with toyota tundra trucks. the contact is unable to drive the vehicle. the failure and current mileages were 35097.

I own a 2000 toyota tundra and it failed its annual pennsylvania state inspection due to a frame rust issue. the toyota dealership that did the inspection and failed the truck, i assume, knew of a potential problem and thank god, thoroughly inspected the truck's frame. they found a hole in the frame that concerned them to the point that failed the truck's state inspection and i ended up paying $294.25 to have a frame patch welded in to prevent a failure of the frame in the area of the rusted hole. i had the truck undercoated at the time of purchase in 2000 and that undercoating is blistering off, and has been blistering off for a few years. the undercoating was maintained under a ziebart warranty until 2005 when ziebart closed the local franchises. this means the underside of my truck has been without the warranted protection for only four years. this is ridiculous that a truck, that has been as meticulously maintained as mine has been, is experiencing a frame rust issue to the level that it fails a state inspection !!!! the underside of the truck is heavily rusted despite the additional precautions i've taken of undercoating, maintaining the undercoating, and religiously spraying the excessive salt off of the vehicle in the winter months during the times of high exposure. i am extremely concerned about the safety and integrity of my truck every time i get behind its steering wheel now. one of my biggest concerns is, that in the unfortunate event that i would be involved in a collision of significance, the engineering safety standards required to be met regarding frame structural integrity will be grossly compromised by the rotting frame and will no longer be able to offer the designed protection that the engineers calculated. the protective structure will no longer be able to provide the necessary safety buffer for me and my passengers from the extreme energy forces experienced during a life threatening collision when we'll be counting on it with our lives. *tr
