Takata recall. see a14 to attached document. my toyota corolla is always parked outside in the sun at high humidity in hawaii (up to 99%) and high temperature (up to 99 degrees) all day long so it has already experienced long-term exposure to environmental moisture and high temperatures. and since my car is 2010 it has been parked in high humidity and in the sun at high temperatures all day long for the past 6 years. since the recalls pose an unreasonable risk to my safety, i am requesting immediate remedy to this situation including providing a loaner vehicle until the remedy is available. see a8 -- i do not consider not carrying passengers in front passenger seat as a remedy or minimized risk. i car pool and carry passengers on a daily basis.

Takata recall, got recall info, took the car to toyota, no solution to problem. they said they had no problems. it was an interim call. meantime, do not allow anyone in front passenger seat. . so i feel like i am just standing in line, paying for something i cannot fully use. where is the fix to the problem?? in the meantime, i am driving my unsafe car, as shrapnel can explode at anytime, and go anywhere. i need help here. i am a safe driver, what about the other guy. i live in florida, and fit right into the recall notice, however toyota seems not to be able to anything about it. i am upset, i am paying on a car that i can only use a small portion of. and still not feel safe. i love my car, i want to keep it. but it seems like i bought a four bedroom house that maybe will only hold one.

Takata recall - i took my car to the dealer with my recall notice. i was told that it was not due to lack of parts but there was no solution to my problem. i received a loaner car. this was around july 21st 2016. i received my car back around june 16th 2017. almost a year later. this in my opinion was not a reasonable amount of time. toyota spent approximately $20,000 in rental cars for this period of time and returned my car needing a new alternator, battery, all the rubber around my sunroof and the trunk is dry and rotted making it susceptible to leaks. also, my radio is not working. my car is basically worthless to sell or trade in at this pointl . thank you for your help.

Takata recall letter from toyota indicates that the only present resolution with the takata airbags is for you to not use the front passenger seat. there is also concern that an impact may cause materials from the airbag to injury or kill a passenger riding in the passenger rear seat. this danger is immediate and needs a fix now. i received this recall notice on july 22, 2016.

Takata recall i am leaving for a driving trip with my daughter and due to the recall warning, i am faced with the inconvenience of having her sit in the back seat. i hope this will be resolved before sept 9 2016.

I called toyota after receiving the recall notice which recommended using the vehicle without an occupant in the front seat. when i called the customer service number, the representative stated repair of the vehicle was not a "remedy available at this time." when asked about a car rental again i was told that "remedy is not available at this time." i was then transferred to an individual who stated reimbursing individuals for making 2 trips to transport 5 people was not a a "remedy available at this time." the notice which was sent only warns to keep occupants out of the front seat. however, a heavy purse or even grocery bag triggers the weight sensor and may cause the airbag to deploy. i mentioned this to toyota and said she may want to pass that information along because it may be a serious safety concern. i was told she was taking careful notes and a case manager would contact me the following business day. i never received the phone call. the next morning, i once again reached out to customer service, this time asking the customer service rep about whether the notes reflected the information i had given them about the weight sensor. she stated there were no notes and that either way toyota does not take "unsolicited advice." the customer service line has essentially been set up to compartmentalize incoming information in order to shield the company as it kicks the can down the road on the repairs. i am documenting this here in the hopes they can be contacted to remedy the letters language and hopefully prevent injuries to the public.

The problem is with the passenger side airbags produced by takata. we were notified about this several months ago. a few days ago i received a letter from toyota telling me that toyota is preparing a remedy for these airbags and what i needed to do was not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. i called toyota up and was told that they do not have a remedy yet, and they have no idea when they will have a remedy. their solution to this airbag problem is to put all passengers in the back seat. we have a family of five so i can not do that. their solution of not having people in the passenger seat is not acceptable to me and should not be to anyone. i have a family car and would like to use it with my family. i can not do that. thank you. *tr

July 2016 received letter from toyota about takata airbag problem under nhtsb recall 16v-340 for which it was stated no remedy was available yet. i spoke to toyota (case 1607114644) who said this vehicle was under their zone a since it was originally registered in ca and so a high priority due to the environmental conditions that would contribute to a higher likelihood of a problem. as of today, dec 18, 2016, the safer car website still says no remedy is available but to submit a complaint if the manufacturer is taking too long, and since it has been several months, the need is urgent, and the consequences are severe, i would like my airbag replaced asap.
