Takata recall. i received a recall on my passenger side airbag back in june of 2026. i went to my local dealership on june30, 2016 and had it fixed for free a week later my airbag light came on or came on so i took it back to the dealership and they said that that had nothing to do with the passenger side airbag it was the driver side airbag now that needed to be fixed and since it wasn't recalled they were not going to fix it i did not have the money to fix it so i never got it fixed
Takata recall: i received a "remedy notice" from toyota instructing me that the replacement airbag part was currently available, after having previously received an "interim letter" instructing that i would be notified when the replacement part became available. however, after contacting a local toyota dealership, i was informed that the part would not be available for at least eight weeks. this constitutes an utter failure to remedy the defect within a reasonable time. moreover, it is unacceptable to have been notified that the part is available when, in fact, it is not available for at least eight more weeks.

I am concerned that toyota has initiated a recall for my passenger air bag, told me that it is unsafe to drive or carry passengers, yet states that the repair may take 3 months. no remedy (i.e., rental car or other alternative) has yet been offered to address the safety issue during the 3 months.
Takata recall. i called riverside auto mall of marquette to get the defective airbag replaced and was told that toyota only allows a couple of replacements at a time and that i was placed on a lengthy waiting list. i am driving a long distance in august and they said it ,"might" be fixed by then. the paperwork i received in the mail said it was urgent and i have heard people have died due to this. why is toyota allowed to set a delay?
Takata airbag inflators, engine module. cannot get toyota dealer to replace. have waited four weeks
Takata recall had 2 accidents in my toyota corolla and the airbag did not worked. i've had 10 surgeries because of the damages i got from the accident and because the airbag didn't protected me. the car was moving in the first accident and it was a really big accident but the airbag did not protected me it just the light went on and stayed on.
Takata recall - passenger airbag was fixed from a 2015 recall and right after the fix the light went on for the driver's side airbag.

I received a safety recall notice from toyota in may of 2016. the letter stated that it's a required immediate respond. i called right away to toyota of tri cities and the lady said that 'you're part will be in two weeks and we will call you.' no one called me in 3 weeks. i went to toyota of tri cities and ask the lady named selena torres if the part for my car has arrived? she went to the part department and said that i never ordered any part from them. i asked if she can order the part for me. she said yes and that it will take 2 weeks to 3 weeks. she said that as soon as we receive it, we well call you. she asked for my phone number so i am sure that all of my contact info is in their system. i called them on july 2, 2016 and anthony stated, 'we don't have any part for you.' i asked when it will be available and he said that it will take 4 to 8 weeks. i am feeling that this dealer won't fix this recall issue.

Takata recall. toyota sent me notice on august 20, 2015 of safety defect with air bags. i just received a letter today on 5-14-2016 that they would remedy the problem. i have been advised to not carry passengers in my vehicle in the interim, which about 9 months. this is unacceptable and has caused hardship and will result in an economic loss due to negligence when i can't sell my car because of its safety record. 9 months to fix a potentially lethal defect with a car is completely unacceptable. i also want assurance from toyota that the problem solely exists with passenger airbags on not driver airbags.
Takata recall: unable to have the car repaired, related to the whole airbag assembly has to be replaced, due to no barcode on airbag inflator. the parts have been on back order for 4 months, and i received a card in the mail stating the vehicle is unsafe to drive. what actions do i need to take in order to have a safe vehicle to drive.

Toyota issued a recall for my vehicle for the air bag inflator on june 16, 2015, and recommended that i not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. i have since had to wait nearly an entire year before the parts for the recall were available in my area; i was only notified in may of 2016 that the parts are available in my area. in other words, i was supposed to avoid having a passenger in my front seat for almost a whole year. this by far exceeds a reasonable timeframe for repair, and i hope that there will be repercussions for this kind of failure.

Takata recall contacted the toyota dealer the beginning of this year. they said that they had to order the part. called them last month and they acted like they never herd from us. again they said they had to order the part and would be in touch.
I was notified by the dealership that a recall for passenger side airbags was currently in place. when i tried to make an appointment, they told me it would be a 4-6 month wait! that's a long time to be driving an unsafe vehicle or are they discriminating against an older model toyota? anything i can do to speed this up?

Takata recall: the dealership and others i contacted have been unable to tell me when they will have the parts to complete the repair of the recall. so while it is great that nhtsa has helped to get to the stage of a recall, if the repairs cannot be completed, it is not a good thing. can you help me with this problem? (in other words, help me find a place to get the repair or tell me who to contact at toyota?) i am upset about this.
Takata recall. received safety recall notification from toyota. local dealer estimated 4 to 10 weeks wait time for remediation. notice clearly says that '' until remedy is performed, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in front passenger seat". so i can't operate with passenger. its really a big issue for me as my wife needs to come to office in the same car with me .it's causing great trouble for our work and also for week end routines/trips. i have requested dealer several times mentioning above impact however there is no positive response. rather they are claiming it an issue where they are not responsible. my current situation is that i am taking paid taxi services for drop and pick up from offices . it's costing around $100 dollars daily since 3/30/2016.any immediate resolution/remedy will help me
March 30, 2016 i received a safety recall notice regarding my vehicle (vin: [xxx]) and scheduled an appointment at rohrich toyota at 2020 west liberty avenue, pittsburgh, pa on friday, march 4th at 1:00 p.m. that morning, a gentleman called me to ask if i would be willing to reschedule my appointment because the service department was short-staffed. even though, i had taken the day off work to make the appointment, i said i understood and, since i did not know my work schedule at the time, would call back to reschedule. during the month of march, i was busy with work, sister's surgery, and a scheduled vacation, but i called rohrich to reschedule an appointment. it was scheduled on monday, march 28th at 1:00 p.m. however, on saturday, march 26th, rohrich left a voice mail message on my cell phone to say the service department was 'short staffed' and to call back to reschedule. i called on march 28th and made the appointment for the following day, tuesday, march 29th at 1:00 p.m. i dropped the car off at the service department, and my husband picked me up so that we could go out for lunch. not 10 minutes later, the service department called me on my cell phone to tell me they 'didn't have the part' and i could either leave the car until tomorrow, which would be today, wednesday, march 30th or pick up the car and reschedule and, if/when i call to reschedule, ask to make sure that the service department has the part. are you kidding me????? i realize this is a recall and i wouldn't/shouldn't be a 'paying' customer, but this is ridiculous. this is the third time i did not go to work because of scheduled appointments and this is the third time, through no fault of my own, that my car is still not fixed. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Takata recall i received the recall notice near the beginning of 2016. i tried repeatedly (4-5 months) to make an appt with the local toyota dealership in antioch, ca to bring my car in for repair only to be told they didn't have the part and that 1) they would call me back but never did, or 2) i would have to keep calling back to check in. fast forward 5 (6?) months later and my car still hasn't been repaired. i finally was able to at least get an appointment by calling another dealership in concord, ca but the wait is still 3 weeks out. very difficult and frustrating experience.

Takata recall i believe toyota and their dealer, koons toyota of arlington, va, have failed to remedy the defect within a reasonable time. i have waited for over 2 months to have the defect remedied. the toyota customer experience center was completely unhelpful and could not tell me where i could obtain a replacment. the dealer failed to update me when replacement parts became available and did not return my phone calls.
Was driving when airbag light on dash came on, have checked fuses, cleaned all electrical leads and it remains on, been on six months now. airbag recall fixed today, told dealer to look at light. once fixed dealer said light still on because the steering spring coil in the steering column has cut something that turns the airbag light on, cost to fix $500. i said let the ligt stay on then, he said it could affect airbag, it might not deploy.

Takata recall! thank god, nothing has happened, however, i am writing in complaint about the slowness of getting the airbags replaced/fixed in my vehicle in regards to the recall. every time i get into my car, i fear that something will make the airbag(s) deploy which will injure or kill either my 2 year old daughter or myself, or both of us. i am a single parent and cannot at this time afford to buy another vehicle that does not have this issue. i called and spoke with an agency representative at least two months ago. this person really did not offer any thing to my inquiry, only that that things were being expedited and i should check with my local toyota dealer. while i do understand there are logistics to resolving this issue, that takata officials dragged their feet, that the "powers that be" don't want to inundate the dealer(ships) with an overabundance of repairs at the same time, and that, now, hah is being considered, i need those "powers" to understand that on top of every other fear one has when getting on the road, we drivers, i, now have the real fear that a device that is supposed to protect me and my family can now seriously harm either one of us at any time. this issue has been ongoing far too long for the repairs to be at the place it currently is. i would like someone to personally contact me, either my mail, email or phone, to give me an update on when my vehicle will be repaired! hearing of another fatality on the cbs evening news does not allay my fears.
