Passenger side door lock will not stay locked! and the other three doors lock seconds after unlocking them with remote? *dt

Since 2014 sep. the power steering very noising from engine room when make a turn. don't know when the steering wheel will broken ,and unsafe. rear passenger power widower window not working and driver side read doorlock not working.

The rear passenger door automatically unlocks after main lock button is pushed on interior of driver's door as well as on the key fob. all other locks can easily lock/unlock manually except this door. it seems to be stuck until the button on driver's side door is pushed to lock. but almost instantly, it will unlock again. anytime the car is driven past 9mph, the car keeps trying to lock all the doors making an annoying noise. *tr

The door locks are locking or unlocking on their own at different times while the vehicle is moving. passengers are unable to open their doors at certain times. *tr

On august 8, 2014 my cr-v would not start. i called road side assistance and they came and jumped the battery. i took the vehicle and had a diagnostic test ran on the battery and both the battery and alternator were charging. on august 19, 2014, my cr-v would not start for the 2nd time. this time i took it to a repair shop and had the battery, starter and alternator diagnostic check done, all were charging and working without incident.the mechanic stated that the battery cables were loose, so he tightened them. on august 23, 2014 my cr-v would not start for the 3rd time. i am completely at a loss and do not know what can be done. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 honda cr-v. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start intermittently. the failure recurred numerous times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery, starter, and alternator needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 97,000.

Door locks automatically lock all four doors. as soon as you unlock them, they lock again. you can not use the manual unlock because it seems frozen and can only unlock the car using the key fob and then they lock again right away. this is a serious hazard for obvious reasons and honda needs to take responsibility for this and make it part of a national recall. online forums are loaded with honda owners experiencing the same and/or similar problems. a class action suit was filed early 2013 regarding this specific issue. results, if any, are not known. *tr

I have owned the car since august 3, 2007. only superior honda and jeff wyler honda has serviced my car. july, 1, 2014 the starter made a clicking noise especially when first starting the car in the morning. jeff wyler just gave me a statement from honda corporation office stating that if a customer complains about a clicking noise do not bother to fix it. there is nothing you can do it is a quirk with the starter relay system. just tell them to turn the key faster. i have turned my key the same way for the past 7 years and have never heard this sound. if this is a "known" quirk since 2001 then why don't they get an engineer to design a new starter. i am sure the starter is going bad in the car. it never did this before, but the service manager at performance honda which i took it to at the advice of the case manager at honda corporation told me he could make all the hondas on his lot make the same sound. god forbid if you had a disability and could not turn your key fast enough you would never get your car started. this is ridiculous. if they replace my starter they tell me it will have the same problem, but why did this only start happening now? i am afraid to drive my car more than 15 miles from home. i want to visit my daughter in florida who is in the navy, but i am afraid to drive the car that far. *js

As reported by a number of other honda crv owners, my front passenger door lock unlocks itself. i first noticed it after something was stolen from my car. i could not understand how that was possible because i needed to unlock my driver's side door to get into the car. i never checked the passenger door lock. i then noticed that the car doors continued to lock as i was driving. i looked over and noticed that the passenger door lock would unlock as soon as it locked. so now the lock mechanism keeps trying to lock the door after every stop. this is clearly a safety issue and a recall needs to be made for a faulty part. the safety issue is threefold: 1) preventing items or the car from being stolen because the car cannot be locked; 2) driving in a large city and not being able to lock the passenger side door. i am fearful that someone could enter the car while i am stopped in unsafe locations; 3) i park in a garage and sometimes leave late in the evening. i need to make sure there is no one in my car now before i enter it. gm waited too long to recall their cars. i am asking honda to be more proactive since this is a know issue. i believe there is a class action suit currently pending for this issue, so there are obviously a large number of honda owners who have experienced this issue but may have not reported it here. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 honda cr-v. when the brakes were applied to stop the vehicle, the door locks would lock or unlock automatically without warning. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. the failure mileage was 70,000.

All car locks make a loud noise when unlocking/locking. only driver side door will stay unlocked when you unlock. others will typically lock in 1-2 seconds making it a pain to allow someone into the vehicle. driver side lock switch was replaced under warranty at 9,197 miles. problem resurfaced 3 or 4 years ago, but we;ve just been tolerating it since we didn't want to spend the money on 8 year old car with 150k miles. no we learn there was a class action lawsuit, but we were never notified? should have been repaired under class action lawsuit. i disabled the auto door lock/unlock when going over 10 miles/hour and when placed in park to reduce the nuisance noise.

This is a serious safety issue. the lock on the right side rear will not open manually nor will it open with the remote except for about one second when the remote is pressed. if there had been any kind of emergency anyone in that seat would not have been able to get out. complained to the dealer, but because it was out of warranty it will cost about $300 to fix. thought this issue should be reported as a warning to others with keyless entry remotes. very dangerous. *tr

Since you don't have the right choice to choose from.... our crv ... grandson closed the drivers door with the keys in car and it locked.. tried to unlock door with spare keys and it wouldn't work.. not manually or with the push buttons on keys.... dropped my granddaughter off for swim class and unlocked the door with button inside car and it locked again before i could open door.. tried numerous times and car would not stay unlocked.. finally, had to use one hand to unlock door and the other hand on handle to open it before it locked again... if we were in an accident, how would i be able to get myself and or grandkids out of the car fast enough to save them????? honda, i found out has known about this since 2007 and continues to look the other way... something needs to be done before someone gets killed... not like what gm did... lets get this fixed and right before something bad happens to americans !!!!!! *tr

Last week i go to lock my car and is keep pushing lock on my clicker and it never beeps. so i go back to my car and look and all the doors are locking except for my drivers side. i end up manually locking it and when i come out it works fine. now today (three days later) it is doing it again expect this time it locks extremely fast. i hit unlock to get out of my car and if i do not get out fast enough the door locks on its own while all the other doors stay unlocked. *tr

When i unlocked all the doors - the front passenger door lock opened but then retracted and the door would not open - i clicked the open switch several times and was finally able to open the door - but then the switch seemed to jam again - further research indicated that the actuator is the cause. this appears to be a potentially serious issue - if the door will not open in the event of an emergency - at the very least it is frustrating to have to remember to try to open the door as soon as it is activated otherwise it will retract and not open. i have in the interim tried applying some white lithium grease to the inside and it appears to help temporarily - but the actuator will eventually have to be replaced. i was trying to inquire if this shouldn't be a recall or reimbursement for repair from honda..... *tr

The automatic locks and door lock actuators seem to be malfunctioning. the locks will randomly unlock and lock miles into a drive. when the door is locked with the side door button on either the drivers side or passengers side the actuator makes a horrible noise. when the key is used to unlock the vehicle the actuator makes a horrible noise as well. *tr

Drivers and passenger side doors will automatically relock everytime you unlock the doors. it started with the drivers side door, then a few weeks later, the passenger door. to unlock doors you have to physically hit unlock button, then you have half a second to get door open before it locks again on its own. the whole car be unlocked but you can't get into the front doors. i feel this is a safety issue, because if i were in an accident or had some kind of emergency, the front doors wouldn't unlock or open long enough to get out. my kids have a problem getting out, so i won't let them sit in front seat anymore. hoping that the back doors don't start acting up. doing research on this, i see that honda has had class action law suits filed about this same problem, and many complaints about the same issue. on one site it says they had a recall on this in late 2012, but i haven't seen any thing else about a recall. *tr

The rear and front passenger door locks will automatically unlock after being locked. the lock button also will not consistently lock any of the doors in the car. therefore i have 2 doors in my call that will never lock. this poses a safety issue for not only myself but also any passengers that i have with me. it also put any of possessions that are left in the car vulnerable to theft. this is the same problem has occurred in earlier models and honda has recalled this issue, yet in later models the same issue is happening yet no recall has been made. *tr

Front passenger door will not stay in unlocked position after using manual unlock, or key fob. just forces back to locked. am concerned that if there is a crash - the door will not be able to be opened. *tr

The front passanger side door immediately locks itself after being unlocked. it happens when the door is being unlocked from the inside with the lock/unlock button on the door. it also happens when you use the key fob. as soon as you unlock the doors the front passanger side door locks itself. *js

Doors in vehicle lock and unlock themselves while driving. problem appears to happen around the speed of 15 mph, both while accelerating and breaking, ie: slowing down to eventual stop. while this occurs, it is possible to open the door, even as the vehicle is in motion. lock "sounds" are also heard as the locks engage, and disengage while driving. this happens every time we drive. also, when the car is parked and we attempt to lock the car; both with the buttons on either the driver side and passenger side, or the button on the key fob, the drivers side lock makes an unusual sound, like the door is attempting to lock, but something is "off track". when this occurs, the drivers side door is unable to lock. because of this, we cannot set the alarm on the vehicle, which allows anyone to enter the vehicle at the driver side and the hatchback. this problem occurs about 70% of the time. further research into this issue shows that several others have experienced this malfunction in most honda crvs between the years 2007-2010. usually occurs on or around the 50k mile mark, when the factory warranty is no longer effective. because honda will supply customers with the same actuator as already equipped in the vehicle, the problem is not corrected, and eventual repeat of same defects occur. *js

My rear passenger door does not lock. when i press lock either by the driver side or on my key fob, the lock would close, but then reopen again. this is very unsafe. anyone can open my car and steak things inside. very unsafe. *tr

Rear driver door comes unlocked when driving or when parked. will not stay locked. *tr

Hello. starting in april 2014, when ever i would drive my car the locks woud begin unlocking and relocking creating a safety issue. the issue progressively deteriorated until i went to my local browns city honda with the issue resulting in my paying a $377.42 invoice to replace the actuator/door lok in my 2007 honda crv. further moore, it was only in the last visit to the local honda dealer, where i made purchaes this car and a previoulsy purchased new 2010 honda civic, at browns city hoda, in glen burnie, md 21061, that a service honda customer service tech advised my od a recall on the actuator door lock. today and also on june 6, 2015 i called honda for assistance with downloading the form for a reimbursement request, and the honda rep declined assist to find the form then said that recall reimbursement expired on july 6, 2015, four days ago. not once in the previous conversatopn with a honda customer service rep was such mentioned. to further add injury to insult, the honda rep stated that honda is not responsible. please advise.

Driver's side door lock actuator will automatically and immediately lock itself after being unlocked via the switch or keyfob locking me in or out of the vehicle. it will also click repeatedly at low speeds like it is trying to lock again and again. *tr

The door lock on the rear left door will not stay locked no matter what i do or how i try to lock it, even if i put in drive & all doors automatically lock the rear door unlocks itself. this is a safety & security issue! *tr

The door immediately locks itself after being unlocked with the key fab. the door key will not unlock the door when inserted and turned. the door does the same thing when being unlocked from the inside with the lock/unlock button on the doors. as soon as you unlock the door with the button it locks itself. *tr

The rear passenger door locks and unlocks while driving. one day my son had a difficult time getting out of the car because as soon as he unlocked the door it would lock again. concerns i have are someone getting in my car while i'm stopped at a light, etc. or a child opening the door from inside while the car is moving. it doesn't seem to matter how fast or slow the car is moving, it will still lock and unlock on its own. *tr

Battery dead after sitting overnight. *tr

Passenger front door does not stay locked. when i reach 9 mph doors lock and front passenger lock slowly unlocks. then every time i slow down and then go over 9 mph it locks and unlocks. i can not leave anything in car as i am afraid someone can just open the door and steal the car or whatever may be in it. honda dealer says this happens and i can pay them $350 and that may help but no guarantees. i can't even sell the car this way. this is irresponsible on the part of honda. this is my first and last honda. *tr

The first time i noticed a problem was when i put the key into the ignition it would give a zzzzzsound. several days later the door would not unlock and i had to exit on the passenger side.later i had to climb over the console to drive the car home. later on, i was able to unlock the door. however, within days of that incident, the driver's side door continues to lock and unlock within seconds as i drive the car. i can no longer lock the door with the key fob or manually. i feel that this car is no longer safe. *tr

The read door lock keeps opening and closing when i drive (i have my 4 year old and 2.5 year old sitting in the back ) this is a safety issue as they can open the door at any time. *tr

The power door locks keep locking on their own immediately after you unlock them. this can happen even if you unlock them with the auto key fob or the inside door switch. i have also been unable to use the auto key fob to unlock the doors & had to use the key in the door. i have even had the doors relock themselves right after you stop the car & put it in park. (normally the car auto locks all doors when you drive over about 10 mph, then auto unlocks the doors once you stop & put it in park). so i've been locked in my car while i keep using the door unlock switch or my key fob to try to get out. god forbid i had to exit my car in an emergency! i've also been afraid of dropping or leaving my car keys on my seat or in my purse (while it's in the car) when i hop out of the car, then accidentally shutting my car door. i would be locked out. *tr

My front passenger side door will not stay locked. each time i lock it, all the other doors stay locked except this door. i can not manually lock it, therefore my car is now subject to vandalism or theft. i am a single female and this terrifies me that when i am sitting at a traffic light at light someone could easily attack me or try to steal my car. i contacted honda and they said that there is absolutely nothing they can do. *tr

My honda cr-v 2007 just started to have problem with the door lock/unlock system. i started to notice the problem probably in november 2013. the car locking default set-up was at 15mph (meaning even if i forget to lock the doors, they will be locked when the car reach 15mph). however, one of the door just unlock all by itself right-after it get locked. this is a huge safety concern if you have kids in your car. i realized many cr-v owners have the same problem, but honda decided not to do anything about it. *tr

The power switches on doors are easy to fail. the actuator failed and the door is getting 'locked' itself which could be an issue if child is left in the car with key. i got the first incident of this issue on my passenger - right door about 6 months ago and now got the same issue on door in driver seat. *tr

While driving the rear door locks will continuously unlock themselves. the locks will continue to engage (make a noise as if someone were pressing the lock switch) even if i do not re-lock the doors. *tr

For over a year, my 2007 honda cr-v has had a lock actuator malfunction where the right year passenger door remains unlocked while driving and unlocks when i try to lock the car. my 4 year old nephew was in the back seat and was able to open the door while we were in motion which is a huge safety risk! also, the doors lock and unlock when i got below and above 10mph and make a huge clicking sound. not only can i only drive one of my nephews in my car at a time and they must sit on the left side to avoid them opening the door again, every night when i lock my car, the right rear passenger door is unlocked and anyone can get in the car. also, anyone is able to jump in my car if i am at a stop light, and living in dc, that is a definite possibility! now today when i went to go to work, both of my fab remote entry keys stopped working and i cant get in my car. i have read online that there is no recall for this huge safety risk and that this is typical of honda and its electrical system. if i want honda to fix the problem, it will cost over $1,000 for a problem caused by honda. i have read online hundreds of other 2007 honda cr-v owners who are experiencing the same lock actuator issue and feel their safety is at risk for their passengers and for the car in general. please let me know if there is a recall from honda and if this safety risk is being addressed. *tr

Front passenger door lock actuator bad. the door would not stay in locked position. *tr

My grandson went to get out of the passenger front side of car. it would not unlock. he had to climb over to the driver seat to get out. the next day i went to open the trunk and it was lock. i do a lot of picking up of my grandchildren and i'm afraid that they will get stuck in the event of an accident. what a shame to have to worry about this and the cost i will have to incur. *tr

Passenger door lock will remain open after pressing lock button on key. if driven, latch will automatically lock then open. lock actuator has a grinding sound when locking or unlocking. *tr

The door lock on both the drivers side door and the drivers side rear door have been having problems with the door lock actuator where the door will not securely lock when the door lock is activated. the back drivers side door in particular will initially lock then slowly unlock within 2 seconds and the front door will sometimes just not lock at all, almost like it is stuck. *js

Power door locks failure on two doors - one door will unlock by itself all the time. after 2 months the door lock on another door malfunctioned with the opposite problem - the door locks by itself all the time. *tr

In the last two weeks, suddenly the door locks won't remain open after opening with key fob. the door locks will open for a second or two, but then automatically return to the locked position. appears to be an electro-mechanical malfunction with the electronics and locking actuators. this occurs on all doors (front and rear, including tailgate door), in all scenarios (engine running; engine not running; door open; door shut; key in ignition; key out of ignition). in addition, the door lock/unlock buttons on the door panel will not unlock manually....it's like the door lock button is stuck in the locked position. it takes a great amount of force to unlock the button, but then it automatically returns to the locked position. have been unable to locate source of problem. this is a real safety issue! *tr

Passenger side door lock will lock itself after door is unlocked using remote. missed an entire day of work because i locked myself out of the car yesterday. i'm in the medical field so it was a burden on many sick individuals who needed my help. *tr

The passenger door regularly does not remain electronically locked despite using the driver door switch and/or remote. this could pose a serious safety concern if involved in vehicular accidents since the occupants may become entrapped when the defect prevents an occupant from unlocking the doors. furthermore, this defect jeopardizes the safety of vehicle occupants since not all doors are capable of being manually unlocked from the exterior. instead, and with the exception of the vehicles driver door, the electronic locking mechanism is the only method available to gain access to the vehicle from the exterior - only the driver's door has a slot allowing use of a physical key. while this issue risks the safety of all occupants, the door lock defect poses an acute risk to children in the front seat since they may be unable to open the door from inside the vehicle and, due to the lack of an exterior locking mechanism, an individual on the outside may not be able to unlock these doors and gain interior access. honda has apparently long been well aware of this issue. despite its longstanding knowledge of this design defect, honda has routinely refused to repair the cars without charge when the defect manifests. as a result of defendants unfair, deceptive and/or fraudulent business practices, owners and/or leasees have suffered an ascertainable loss of money and/or property and/or loss in value. the unfair and deceptive trade practices committed by honda has caused many aggravating circumstances. had i known about this defect, at the time of purchase, i would not have bought it, or would have paid substantially less for it. honda's alleged actions to properly notify consumers of this issue - and to offer successful repair at no charge to consumers - has seriously harmed hondas reputation. *tr

Passenger side door: i can unlock the passenger door with the key fob and they will re-lock themselves within 2 seconds. few days ago i went into pharmacy and left my 8 year old niece in the car to pick up few things. came back out in about 5-7 minutes and she was crying her eyes out yelling and screaming. i asked her what happened as i entered through the driver side door. she couldn't speak for few minutes because of tears. she told me she couldn't open the door and she got scared. entire family is honda and acura loyal customers. my family had enough honda problems with the 2011 honda accord brakes making squeaking noises after replacing brake pads 2 times. 2003 acura tl transmission problem. replacing 2007 crv differential fluids numerous times and now a safety issue with the passenger side locks. i had enough. good bye honda! *tr

Passenger door locks and unable to open in emergency. *jb

When i accelerated from a stopped position at a stoplight, my vehicle automatically locked all the doors (which it had done upon leaving the parking lot). i thought this strange. then i looked and saw that the front passenger side lock unlocked itself as soon as the doors had locked. when i stopped again at another light, it repeated the pattern. due to the fact that the front passenger side door was unlocked, the car locked all doors, and then the front passenger side door unlocked itself again. this repeats every time i stop anywhere. it is not safe. i am unable to keep my doors locked when driving. also, if i lock my car when i leave my vehicle, the alarm will sound within minutes due to the car "unlocking" itself again. i am unable to secure my vehicle due to the malfunctioning front passenger door lock. according to research, this is a common complain that the manufacturer has been aware of for several years. i do not understand why this has continued. i do not have the money for repairs, so i endanger myself and my family every time we travel in this vehicle without being secure with proper door locks. *tr

My first incident the last week of august 2013 my keyless lock would not lock my car and would beep 3x when i went to lock it. it would still stay open. after a few times of opening and closing my door it was fine but still did it over a 2 day period then it stopped and was fine. today is wednesday, september 4th and i pull in my driveway, turn off my car and the door unlocks as usual, then it locked itself immediately after that. i used my key to unlock it and opened my door quickly to get out. as i exited my car the door locked itself before i could even close my door and use the keyless remote. even if i manually unlock my door it will lock itself immediately right after. i searched on the internet and found others are having the same problem with their 2007 honda crv. this is a safety issue and could result in death. let me remind you it is september and very hot outside and hotter in the car. this could trap me or my passengers in my car and i am afraid. *jb
