Problems with 2013 Ford F-150 ENGINE

On average, the 2013 Ford F-150 starts to “feel” problems with the ENGINE and its various aspects after 46 364 miles.

Recently reported ENGINE problems on 2013 Ford F-150

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle restarted after one attempt, but the failure recurred several times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rubber boot needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 29,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while driving 70 mph, the check engine warning indicator illuminated, and the vehicle stalled and lost engine power. the contact noticed excessive smoke under the front end of the vehicle. the contact was able to safely get the vehicle off the roadway. the contact noticed a fragment of a fractured piston on the ground. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 67,811.

In jan 2017 an electronic throttle body failure caused vehicle to 'stall' and enter "limp home" mode while traveling at highway speed of 65mph. the vehicle sputtered, shuttered & stumbled into "limp home" mode with the wrench symbol and check engine lights displayed on the instrument panel. dealer replaced the electronic throttle body in jan 2017. the vehicle started exhibiting similar but less severe problems (sputter & stumble/hesitation) in july 2017, and is increasing in frequency and severity through now. called the dealer service department to have it diagnosed and they will not acknowledge that this is a known or systemic problem, but it impacts drivability and safety, especially when towing a trailer.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. the contact stated that the vehicle stalled more than twice and the wrench icon warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle stalled again before it was taken to a dealer. the vehicle was able to restart and the dealer diagnosed that the throttle body assembly needed to be replaced. the actuator control system was not closed and was faulty internally. the manufacturer issued service campaign number: 13n03 to address the repair that was specific to certain models. the manufacturer provided no solution. the vehicle was repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 28,000.

At approximately 60,000 miles my truck would occasionally make a rattling sound immediately after starting the engine. over time it got worse, i took it to a mechanic and he told me it was probably a lose cover, or a component such as a water pump was failing and it would be hard to know which one it was until it failed completely. so i continued to drive the vehicle. time passed, milage went up and the problem got worse. i started researching the issue myself and realized it was the timing chain and phazers. this could potentially cause engine failure and if it happens at the wrong time could cause an accident. this is a very common problem with the ecoboost truck from 2011-2016 models and it typically happens very early in the vehicles life(around 50k miles). apparently it is due to the excessively long timing chain and weak phazers.

While driving at 70 mph i accelerated to pass and suddenly the engine bogged down and began to slow down along with engine light flashing. *tr

3.5 v6 ecoboost fire. completely burned my truck to the ground with my family driving in, wife and 5 yr old. passenger suffered 3rd degree burns, 12/10/2016. truck was in motion, we smelt smoke and within 2 minutes the truck was completely engulfed.

Cooling system connections. ford has put in clips on hoses that connect to overflow for cooling system and on a y-connector at front of motor that not only leak all the time but can just pop off and cause the engine to overheat. i am constantly having to keep buckets under my truck to catch fluid. ford want an outrageous amount of money to fix and based on what i have read in forums the fix may only last a week and start leaking again. this happens on the 5.0v-8 econoboost.. here is a video i took https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dn4owb5dxx4

Ford v6 eco-boost engine turbo temp and pressure sensor failed which can result in the turbo overheating and possible engine fire.

Driving on a city street the truck started shaking and loss all acceleration, it showed a wrench on the dash screen, coasted to a safe place and turned truck off. it restarted fine. approx 30 mins later on the highway it did the same thing, started shaking, no acceleration and the wrench showed up. again coasted to a safe spot and restarted. took it to the dealer the next day and they say nothing is wrong, but that it could be the etb but with out a code showing they cant do anything.

While driving along, lost power and motor vibrated. light with wrench came on. vehicle slowed down. pulled on side of the road. motor kept running erratically. engine surged to a higher speed by itself. problem cleared by itself. went to autozone and had error code read. it said that it was a defective throttle body. could have caused an accident if in gear and engine surged or if failure occurred on a freeway.

If you have an ecoboost v6. i have noticed that sometimes when you have to accelerate very quickly the vehicle takes up to 5 seconds to respond and give you any power. i assume that the computer is spinning up the twin turbos but those critical seconds can cause a serious accident. i have on a few occasions almost got ran over because the truck decided to take its time giving me power to get out of the way. its like for those few seconds you have no power.

I bought my truck new from the dealer 2013. i'm consistent with all the up keeps of my truck. however, mid august 2016, i noticed the truck hesitated to start at the beginning while in stationary position for a few days, then out of nowhere from one day to the next, the engine didn't start in the morning again while in stationary position and then the engine light came up! i bought a new battery thinking that maybe it needed to be replaced, even with the new battery the truck failed to start in stationary. after that, i tried starting my truck for two consecutive days, by the third day the truck started! i drove it immediately to autozone but nothing came up wrong with it? so, i drove it back home. a week later, i had no problems with the truck, like nothing ever happen. then, yesterday all of a sudden i was driving home, while in motion the engine died in the middle of traffic on a city street, so i pulled over to the side of the road and immediately attempted to restart the truck as it continued to hesitate. finally, after 10 minutes the truck started and i drove to autozone and again nothing came up wrong with it. so i drove it back home. then, today, which is september 2, 2016 while the truck is stationary it failed to start and the engine light, came up again. something is wrong with this truck! i don't feel safe to drive in fear that my truck will stop working while in motion and cause an accident. i can get stranded anywhere at anytime.

While attempting to pass a car on a relatively busy 2 lane highway on sat aug 13 2016, the engine light came on and the truck lost power and speed. i was unable to continue passing when this ocurred. another vehicle coming from the other direction was closing in fast, and the car i was passing (was just up by the front side of it) was beginning to pass me now. i know they didn't know what was happening with me or my vehicle. i ended up letting off the gas peddle and ducked in behind the car i was passing. it was only seconds when the vehicle coming from the opposite direction went by. very scary for me and my wife as it could have been a disaster for all involved. this is actually the second time this happened. the first time was just accelerating, and posed no threat or endangerment. my son had the same thing happen to is (2011 fx4 ecoboost) and was told by a dealer that he may have gotten water in the fuel. i don't agree with the statement. if no one has been injured or killed yet, i feel it will happen, because our incident was close enough for me to be writing this to you.

My 2013 f150 ecoboost has approximately 65k miles on it and has recently begun stalling while in operation - always moving. when this occurs, an orange crescent wrench appears on the information center, the rpm's begin to fluctuate, the truck loses all acceleration power, the truck begins to shutter, and i am forced to immediately stop and restart the vehicle. there is no specific time when this happens as opposed to not, and it is very dangerous as the traffic around me has no way to anticipate the issue either. the shop i took the vehicle to stated they "think" it is the throttle body, but are not positive. this is my first ford in several years/cars and though originally pleased with the truck, i am quickly becoming frustrated.

Upon leaving my driveway which is on a hill i went to apply my brakes and had no response, caused me to go off the curb. my brake pedal was hard to operate i went on line and did some research found out about recall.

While driving on the highway in rainy conditions, went to accelerate and the truck engine hesitated then shuttered and nearly shut down. the check engine illuminated and this continued for approximately a minute. this has occurred on four different situations all at 70-80 mph while trying to pass. in one situation, it nearly caused an accident. also having the ticking and severe knocking during engine start first time in the morning or after cold soaking. ford has refused to fix the issues on their own because the truck has 63,000 miles.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while applying the brake pedal, a squeaking noise was present from all four wheels. the vehicle shook and vibrated. the vehicle also suddenly lost power and appeared to stalled. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the brake pads and rotors, but the failure continued. the contact was informed that the stalling was due to a faulty brake booster. the dealer changed the spark plugs, but the failures continued. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 47,667.

While driving (on highway or elsewhere), v8 engine will stall and stop suddenly without any warning for no apparent reason. happen to me twice on 2 days. won't create any fault in the obd. first time, happen to me on the highway, i was very lucky not to have been hit by other vehicles. took the car to ford farway in greenville, sc, they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. the car will always start back after 45 min to an hour. then will shut down for no reason again. this is a threatening with potential death situation if it happen in heavy traffic... so please, ask ford to investigate all v8 to find quickly the reason why this is happening.

In the span of one week the vehicle lost power and went into "limp mode", on three (3) separate occasions. the console display goes orange, with a wrench. two of the instances occurred at steady speed greater than 50 mph. one event was while accelerating from a stop through a right turn. the vehicle was brought to dealer for service. no obd codes were stored and the events cannot be replicated after a week of testing. this is a serious safety hazard! the vehicle must be stopped in order to shut it down and restart, where the display clears and it runs normally until without warning, it occurs again. ford does not seem to have an answer. panic could easily ensue form this loss of power and the drivers ability to take evasive action could be the difference between life & death.

While driving my 2013 ford f150 with ecoboost, the engine cuts out and i lose power. the wrench symbol comes on. the truck stays running but you can't accelerate. the truck starts to vibrate. it's extremely dangerous because there's no warning and no pattern as to when it happens. it happens at both slow and fast speeds. you have to pull over and turn off the engine. then when you restart it, it works again. there's no pattern as to how long it will work. sometimes it cuts out immediately and sometimes weeks later. i've taken it to the closest ford dealer twice. once they replaced the throttle body. that proved to be a temporary fix because it did it again a few months later. the next time they reset the pcm. that only worked for a few weeks. i have a third appointment coming up. but i have no confidence they have any idea what the problem is or how to fix it. they will just keep trying different things until they find the issue. it's obviously an engine manufacturer issue and a recall should be issued immediately. this truck is extremely unsafe to drive. i am a stay at home dad and i transport my kids in this truck. we were on the highway in traffic when it stalled 6 times. three of those 6 times we were almost hit. i believe ford will take no responsibility for this mess until someone actually dies in an accident.

I was driving down the highway, when all of a sudden, the throttle was lost. the truck went from 65 mph to 5 mph in a matter of a couple of seconds and would not accelerate. after a few minutes of trying to maneuver to the side of the road, going only 5 mph, the truck began to shake. took it to the shop, and they couldn't replicate the problem, nor would it show up in the computer system. took it home, and later that evening, it lost the throttle again. took it back to the shop the next day after looking at this website, and told them to replace the throttle body to see if that was the problem. haven't had any other issues. this is very dangerous because it could cause a wreck or loss of vehicle control. it cost me over $300 to fix this issue. ford should really issue a recall since many vehicles have had this issue.

N june 20, 2016 my wife and i were driving at 65 mph on u.s. 60 in mo when the engine on my 2013 f150 vin ecoboost just quit. it was a dangerous situation in traffic. we were able to get the vehicle to the side of the road. it was towed to wehr ford in mountain grove, mo where it was diagnosed as a defective throttle body. the service manager said there had been a rash of defective throttle bodies and at least 2000 were on back order across the country. he pointed out another vehicle on his lot which had been there for two weeks waiting for one. he said he could get a used one from a wrecking yard. since we live in az and had to get home we said ok. this is a dangerous issue and ford should have a recall on these.

My 2013 f150 eco boost started cutting out while driving home, the wrench illuminated then the check engine as the engine completely shut down. if i would of been on the freeway or pulling something i would've been dead. after coasting off the road. i was able to get it to restart, but the check engine light stayed on and was cutting out. i only had to go 2 miles to get home. i took it to the ford dealership due to the mileage it wasn't covered, but it was the throttle body that had to be replaced. after doing some research ford had recalled this on a few vehicles, but not this one yet. it is very dangerous to have it just shut the engine off on you. if you're in traffic or pulling there would be a severe problem. i'm still concerned when i pull. i hope that ford recalls this!!!

Throttle body failed on my pickup while driving. went into limp mode and engine wouldn't rev up. had to shut off and restart multiple times in order to make it to the shop. scanned it and had code p2112 throttle body stuck closed. replaced throttle body and seems to be ok now. glad i was just putting along when it happened or it could have been a disaster.

Lose power on acceleration while passing on the highway sudden lost of power and engine fail shacking type of feel not noise or warning before events

I wanted to make your office aware and seek any assistance you may be able to offer regarding a safety issue with the ford ecoboost engine found in many trucks in our state. recently i was driving on a two lane road and ended up behind a slow moving tractor trailer. when getting to a proper passing zone, i accelerated to pass the vehicle. just about the time i was alongside it, my truck (a 2013 f150 ecoboos with about 78k miles) started shuddering, a check engine light came on and it drastically reduced power almost causing an accident when another vehicle was approaching from the other direction (this took several seconds - the passing zone was entirely clear when i started the maneuver). i took my vehicle to a local dealer for repairs only to find out that it was from a manufacturer defect affecting condensation in the cooling unit of the turbos. ford had issued a technical service bulletin (tsb-14-0017) regarding the issue but no recalls made nor any customer notifications sent out. i have notified ford and requested 1) they reimburse the cost of repairs; 2) issue an immediate recall for this major safety defect; and 3) immediately notify owners of their product as to the possible safety hazard that could occur when putting the engine under a heavy rpm load. additionally, i am asking if your office can follow up with this request to ensure that someone doesn't encounter the same bad situation or worse. this was a potential fatality situation that could have been avoided. thanks [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while driving approximately 50 mph and passing another vehicle, there was hesitation and a rapid reduction in engine power as the warning indicator illuminated. three minutes later, the vehicle operated normally. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the ecobooster engine cac detector shield was replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 78,987.

Three times over a 2 year period i have started to pass slow moving vehicles on two lane highways and the engine started to die and the vehicle engine light started flashing.

Vehicle runs great most of the time, but when driving at highway speeds for a couple of hours in the rain, snow, humid or misting conditions, the truck will sometimes loose power and start shaking/stuttering when accelerating to pass another vehicle, or when climbing a hill. most of time, it is a very slight shudder but when under heavy throttle, the engine will start cutting out, loose power and speed, and the check engine light will start flashing. when this happens, i will have to pull over to the slower lane of traffic, or onto the shoulder. after about 30 seconds the check engine light will either go out, or come on solid. it is very frightening when this happens but it has happened enough times that i almost expect it when the conditions are right for it to occur. i have taken it into various ford dealerships as i am usually out of town on vacation when it happens. they have applied all the tsb's recommended by ford motor, but obviosity they can't recreate the issue on demand and apparently can't correct it. this is a very dangerous issue and i would support a total recall of all ecoboost vehicles until corrected.

Continued lack of power when accelerating. several times while in a turning lane, i can hit the accelerator and the engine goes to a complete shut down of power. i have read the related engine issues here, but as a mechanical engineer, i can tell you this is a turbo issue. this issue has almost caused me several accidents due to oncoming traffic and the lack of power from engine that causes lack of movement from the truck. the lack of power last for 1 to 5 seconds and it is the same in wet or dry weather. i want this resolved.

I get the engine code p0301 which is an engine misfire when driving in all driving conditions and streets and highways. the truck engine stumbles and has reduced power when you try to accelerate. this is a very unsafe condition especially when i try to pull a cargo trailer.

While driving, including but not always while driving on the interstate during heavy fast traffic, and including but not always while pulling a trailer, the orange wrench light comes on, the truck abruptly enters "limp" mode requiring rapid pulling off the highway in order to stop and restart the engine, and then a dangerous pulling back on the highway from the breakdown lane in heavy traffic. this has been diagnosed as needing a throttle body replacement #bl3z-9e926-b, but i am told by a ford dealer that there are about 3300 others waiting for this part and that they are so backlogged that no delivery date is yet in their system. rapid, unexpected, and repeated loss of power while driving is very dangerous.

Multiple times now, my truck will downshift and send the rpms over 4500 this causes the engine to misfire, the engine light will blink and the truck will struggle to maintain its speed and any acceleration is extremely diminished. this is extremely dangerous as i frequently drive on rural 2-lane(one in each direction) highways and find this problem significantly impacts my ability to safely pass slower vehicles. it has failed to accelerate enough times that i cannot depend on the truck to accelerate when i move into oncoming lanes of traffic. at 30,000 miles the engine developed an oil leak. within a month of having the leak repaired at the dealer, the engine experienced a major misfire event causing the engine light to come on. i returned the vehicle to the dealership for repair. the dealership explained that two ignition coils went bad and required replacement. this caused damage to the spark plugs for which i was charged approx $250 but was able to negotiate it down to $140. within a month of getting the vehicle back, the vehicle started displaying the misfire symptoms with diminished acceleration and blinking engine light. very unhappy with this vehicle's performance!

On 03/17/2016 i was driving on route 287 in new jersey in the fast lane at speeds around 65 mph my truck had a loss of power. the check engine light never came on and the truck started shuttering really bad, with the accelerator pushed down the truck was slowing down and the cars behind me were hitting their brakes. after about 2 minutes the truck went back to normal. i brought the truck to the dealership and they were unable to diagnose the problem. they said they know about this issue and removed the air deflector and reprogrammed the powertrain control module. 7 days later i had another close call on route 287 in new jersey when my truck started misfiring and shuttering. again no check engine light ever came on. i brought the truck back to the dealership. there were no diagnostic trouble codes or alarms. the mechanic took the truck for a test drive using an integrated diagnostic system and found a power balance and cylinder #4 misfire. they replaced #4 coil and gave the truck back to me. 24 hours later and another close call the truck is back to the dealership and i was told it was another cylinder #4 misfire. the dealership is being very helpful and trying everything they can but this is an enormous safety problem and if this issue is not corrected it can turn into a fatal ending.

Upon entering freeway merging traffic i had a hard acceleration .my truck stumbled would not go any faster then 30 mph by then the semi was on my rear causing a serious problem had to pull off to the shoulder .waited a few minutes and the problem seam to go away. this has occurred numerous times.

Loss of power and shudder at speeds of 60+mph when trying to accelerate to pass other vehicles or going up hills. in 2014 i purchased a used 2013 ford f-150 eco boost truck. about a month ago i experienced a shudder and loss of power when trying to pass another vehicle while driving on the freeway. the mph was about 70+ miles. since that time it happens all of the time when driving above 60mph or higher when i try to accelerate. if i gradually accelerate it doesn't happen.

My truck has been experiencing hesitation upon acelleration and is making noises and my check engine light was on. i took it to the dealership on february 2, 2016 be fixed and at first it was covered under warranty. i took it back on february 16, 2016 bc i had to have a ford rental per ford. the truck was repaired but then it wasn't covered per ford and i had to pay over $400 to get it fixed. my check engine light came on again and it had to go back to the dealership but this time it was covered under warranty. i just got my truck back on april 11,2016 and today on april 14, 2016 the light is back on. i am waiting on a call back from the ford dealership to find out what to do next.

I was driving on snow packed roads with the "auto 4x4" engaged, about 60mph, the orange "mechanical wrench" appeared on the dashboard and my vehicle lost all power. electric still on, i had no mobility. i stopped, placed transmission in park and restarted vehicle without further incident. my dealer has not seen truck as of this writing, as the earliest appointment will be 5 days from now.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle started to shake violently and decelerated as the engine warning light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the technician was unable to diagnosed the failure. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 47,000.

3.5 l ecobost losses power while driving on highway and poor acceleration from stop light or when accelerator pedal is depressed when passing. several close calls from vehicles going faster approaching from rear at stop lights and while passing. had close encounter with two tractor trailers on hwy while traveling at 60-65mph going up a hill. went to pass the trailer truck that was slowing down. after entering the passing lane and pressing the acceleration pedal the truck had a quick shake then with the acceleration pedal pressed to the floor the truck slowed to 45 mph and would not accelerate. i was almost rear ended buy another large truck attempting to pass the slower one. sometimes has ticking noise at start up that seems to go away after running for 5-30seconds. has p0016 code and p0299 codes.

My truck has over 115,000 miles on it now i drive 50,000+ miles a year. i bought the vehicle new 1st occurrence was at appx 50,000 miles i was attempting to pass on interstate the engine stalled started run rough and lost power this corrected it self after i let off the throttle in a few seconds. it did this one more time a few days later. talked to local dealer asked about fuel filter, they said there was no filter. they recommended running fuel injector cleaner. i did this and continued to do this but engine idled rough at stop signs even in park. it finally did the same thing a third time and then again from a stop sign. i had spark plugs replaced this was at 95,000 miles this helped i did not have the stumble problem again but still idles rough. finally 2 days ago it was going down road and wrench light came on and vehicle went into limp mode pulled over shut off and restart engine it went into normal mode no problem. i have cleaned the map sensors all three but no help. i did note map sensors are wet. i rear in one of your many complaints about this problem that it may be condensation from inter-cooler this sounds plausible. when it goes into limp it does not throw a code so no way to know what is wrong. i have spoke to my dealer no help. i have not called ford yet. i have rear multiple (100s) of similar complaints a lot of them on your site. will it take someone dying for you to force ford to fix this. the truck cost over 50,000 i am still paying for it and it is unsafe. i had a nissan with over 300,000 miles and no problems do we need to buy foreign made vehicles to get a good product? will american companies not stand behind their products? i as a tax payer bailed out ford and gm can i not expect a quality made product in return! i guess after someone dies in a crash caused by the f150 stalling on the highway the nhtsa will finally step in an force a recall!!!

The engine splash shield has come loose three times in about a year. this is very large component under the engine. the dealership indicated there are a lot of f-150's with this issue, that snow will pull the shield down. they also asked who changed the oil - i believe the shield needs to be removed to change the oil. the dealership indicated the problem is not covered by ford or the warranty. if the shield comes loose it creates a clear hazard for cars behind the truck. the shield has come loose after an oil change (by the dealership), in the snow, and one other time.

This is an update to my complaint filed preciously. after the second episode of loss of power and the check engine light coming on. i took my ecoboost powered truck to a ford dealer and they performed tsb 14-0017. this was supposed to fix the engine loosing power. this is why the nhtsa closed the investigation of the f150 ecoboost. this has not worked. yesterday 11-7-2015 i was on a 2 hour highway trip in rainy conditions. while driving the motor again lost power and could not even maintain highway speeds. this was dangerous to my family and everyone around us. the tsb from ford has not fixed the dangers of these trucks. please re-open the investigation into this dangerous vehicle before someone is killed or injured. american roads deserve safe cars.

Basically the truck will not start. it has plenty of power and doesn't seem to be electrical. when starting the truck i hear the starter running for ~5 seconds but the engine never fires off. on my 4th or 5th repair after having it towed back to the dealership. each time they try replacing the fuel pump only for it to work briefly. twice it started for them at the dealership after it had been towed. either they don't know what the problem is or the work they do fuel pump temporarily fixes the real issue. this cycle has repeated for 4-5 times for a vehicle with less than 30k miles. first instance was in february 2013. last 3 instances have been in the last 3 months. i have never seen a problem while driving but if its a fuel pump issue as they keep claiming then the issue could arise at any time. at this point i don't trust nor feel safe driving this vehicle. oh i should mention that this last tow truck driver towed 9 other ford-f150 this week that had the same symptoms.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while driving 65 mph, the vehicle lost power and failed to accelerate. in addition, the check engine warning light illuminated. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 25,000.

2013 ford f-150 with the 5.0 v8 engine that has 51,000 miles. on numerous occasions the truck will crank as normal but will not start, as well as lose power while driving. ford road side had the truck towed to summerville ford. ford service department advised that a fuse form the factory was too small and was overheating causing the truck not to start. the service department told me this is a known/common issue, and the fix was for them to install a fuse relocation kit by splicing into the wiring in the fuse box as well as install a larger fuse. of course this seems like an engineering/fuse location issue and not a worn out part issue.

Reproduceable loss of power after extended highway driving in humid weather. loss of power happens when the ecoboost intercooler (cac) builds up condensation and then throttle is applied to pass or merge into traffic. when trottle is applied the condesation water is pushed by the turbos psi into the motor. this causes a missfire and the engine to loose power unexpectedly. this has happebed when attempting to pass a slow moving vehicle on a country road with oncomming traffic nearly causing a head on collision.

Driving down the road going about 45mph and lost power to gas wouldn't go over 30mph tool light came on then and number 1 warning light came on. let it sit for half a hour , turn back on and it must have reset it self p. drove back home which is 20 miles away and it did it again. i bought this truck brand new it only has 60k miles on it.

While trying to merg unto interstate engine lost power and started to shake.
