Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 mph, without warning the vehicle lost electrical functionality and motive power. the contact was able to guide the vehicle off of the roadway safely. the contact was unable to restart the vehicle after several attempts and the vehicle was towed to blue springs ford (3200 nw south outer rd, blue springs, mo 64015, (816) 229-4400) to be diagnosed which was still pending the results. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 138,000.

Vehicle will down shift randomly and still haven't heard back from ford about a remedy it's an open recall

Transmission shifted in to 2nd at 50 mph..lost control hit a fence pole..blew up my tranny..nobody will help with towing

Back truck door locked and will not open from the inside or outside dash light shows door is open, back glass defrost will not come on, none of the doors will lock or unlock with controls or remote. the truck was sitting in driveway when it started showing door was open. door locked when i pushed the remote lock and will not open back up at all. back defrost stoped working about a week before the doors messed up i pushed the button to turn it on and it never came on.

Rear view windshield shattered and blew up after my rear defrost window stopped working. i was driving my truck when it blew up and i started smelling smoke

Stays in low gear and won't up shift. shut truck off and after a few attempts it shifts. this has happened on several occasions. once it did it while stop at a redlight. went to pull out and it wouldn't shift out of low gear. did it another time when i got it in and from a cold start ,put it in drive and it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear.

2011 ford f150. consumer writes in regards to odometer fraud. *ld *tr

The engine revs and rpm suddenly increase regardless of gear. after the mph and rest of front display goes blank. after pulling over shutting of engine and restarting the truck the system resets. very dangerous at high speeds.

Rear window passenger side shattered. rear defrost would sometimes come on and sometime not. suspect the window overheated and shatteres. many of these incidents reported in us and canada.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to crank and start intermittently. on several occasions, the contact had to wait a brief moment before the vehicle would restart after several attempts. in addition, when the gear was changed, the gear indicator would not display on the instrument panel. also, the "prndl" illumination failed to illuminate. long mcarthur ford (3450 s 9th st, salina, ks 67401, (785) 823-2237) and the manufacturer indicated that the vehicle was excluded from manufacturer campaign number: 12c123 and nhtsa campaign number: 12v190000 (power train, exterior lighting) due to the mileage. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer provided no assistance. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 145,000.

Intermittent advance trac error message seems to cause turn signals to malfunction (you have to hold lever in position to keep flashers on to indicate turning/lane change). problem goes as mysteriously as it came- from 5mph to 55mph. turning traction control off has no effect on it. in two weeks this problem lasted for about 10 minutes on one occasion; and from my morning commute (25min) to my evening commute (25min) on another.

On monday january 6th i started my vehicle and let it warm up then when i tried to put my truck into reverse and when i put the shift lever in reverse the electronic transmission prndl display did not indicate the letter r for reverse and the backup lamps did not operate. after that i tried each gear and none of them were working so i put it into park and then back into drive it slammed into gear and then i was able to drive. the day before i got into my vehicle after it warmed up then put it into perverse and it did not go into reverse at all or drive. as a result i took it to midas in my town and they told me that there was a safety recall on my vehicle due to the codes and behavior so they advised me to take it to ford dealership for it to be fixed for free. i did so and i asked about a recall and they reported to me that there is no recall and they want me to pay full charges this is a safety concern that can be taken care of by the dealership and i am missing work and out of the vehicle due to this delay and i'm still making payments on my vehicle that is not safe to drive.

Molded lead frame and oss replacement. i was not notified of the molded lead frame recall 16n02. i experienced the electrical issue described in the recall in my driveway. my dashboard lit up like a christmas tree and would only drive in first gear. i drove to a mechanic that was closer than the ford dealer and was off of back roads so i could drive in first gear. i paid for the repair. i recently received a recall notice 19s07 which is for programming the oss sensor. i asked to be reimbursed for my repair and i was told no by crescent ford & trucks. they said 19s07 is for programming only. i believe ford should reimburse me for the lead frame, connector, automatic transmission fluid, and the speed sensor.

While driving and under no particular common conditions, the dashboard, instrument gauges, interior lighting, headlights, navigation panel suddenly begin flashing and blacking out. then after a few seconds, come back to normal, but typically with a "traction control service" message on with the trouble light remaining on. this happens about every 10 minutes of driving. once in a while, it lasted longer and clunking noises seemed to come from the drive train. however, a few occurrences were while turning and the power steering was out. i took it to a belle tire nearby and they could not fix the problem, saying the dealer had to update the abs module and gave me a printout of tsb 12-11-18 [attached scan]. they circled diagnostic trouble codes c1278 and c1963 as the ones that popped up in their analysis. i find no recalls of this item, but the steering issue is certainly dangerous.

At approximately 8 in the morning on 12/2/2018 i was at a stop getting ready to make a left turn, i had the window defroster/heat on, as well as the rear window defroster. over the last year the rear window defroster light has illuminated intermittently but the defroster has always worked. as i started to move the vehicle, i heard a loud pop and thought someone had thrown something at my truck, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. when i got to my destination less than 5 minutes and about a mile later, i got out and looked at the roof for any sign of something hitting the roof, when i noticed a steady trail of smoke coming from the rear window area, noticed that the rubber had melted and the passenger side rear window had shattered completely. i believe this is due to an electrical short in the rear window defroster circuit, i have since removed the fuse for the rear window defroster which disables my mirror heaters. i request that nhtsa investigates this further as there have been thousands of cases of this issue and it is a known issue and ford is aware of it. it is a safety concern as it could harm a child or someone sitting in the backseat if the glass shatters and blows out of the frame as well as scaring someone causing them to react by braking, steering, etc. and possibly causing an accident. as far as i know, ford has not issued a recall and has denied responsibility. this should be addressed and fixed free of charge on ford's behalf based on the fact that it is a known manufacturer defect.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. the contact stated that the transmission failed to shift into reverse when prompted. also, the "r" indicator did not illuminate on the instrument panel. al bilton ford (7621 old state rd, holly hill, sc 29059, 1-803-496-3150) was notified of the failure. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 12v190000 (power train, exterior lighting); however, the vehicle exhibited the same failure as listed in the recall. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 70,000. *tt consumer stated vehicle was repaired *jb

I was on the road when my truck started to smell burned and the truck was burning. it was totally lost. we were 4 people who were up and we were also burned.

While driving 60mph on the interstate the vehicle suddenly downshifted to 1st gear causing the rear wheels to lock up and send it into an uncontrolable skid.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. the contact stated that the vehicle shifted into the wrong gear and lost power. an unknown warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. the contact shut off the vehicle and it would not restart. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who replaced an electronic sensor inside the transmission, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken to speedway ford (1710 n expy, griffin, ga 30223, (888) 324-4186) where it was diagnosed that the valve body of the transmission was leaking and losing pressure. the dealer also stated that the computer needed to be replaced. the valve was replaced, but the failure recurred. the computer was in the process of being reprogrammed and may need to be replaced. the failure mileage was 136,000.

While driving my truck will shut down no power, this happens mainly while its raining at first now its starting to do this more often. the bcm is located in an area that when it rains the water has shorted the bcm and now i am having the truck completely shut down and or not start. i have been to ford several times and theyre stating there is no recall due to this. i have heard the same complaint from other f150 owner whose bcm is in the sane exact spot as mine. ford is not willing to help fix the problem but charge several hundred dollars to replace parts and diagnosting test to only not do anything about the issues.

The speaker went out in my back left door, so i took the door apart to see what was going on. i tested the speaker and it worked fine, so i started working my way back through the wiring harness. when i touched the harness where it goes from the door to the body (in the door jam) the speaker started working. i removed the harness from the door and pulled back the rubber boot in the door jam. everything was still wrapped in factory harness wrap, and when i exposed the wires, the speaker wires were severed and most of the wires in the bundle had cracked insulation. there were no signs of being pinched or damaged externally, and i am fairly certain this was just from the bending motion every time the door was opened and closed. i build custom automated machines for a living and we always use flex rated cable for applications like this. so this looks like they used cheap wire with insulation that is not rated for the number of bend cycles a door goes through. luckily the power wires for the window regulator and door switch had not shorted out despite the copper being exposed. i am very concerned the rest of my doors are suffering the same problem. this could lead to not being able to unlock the door, not being able to roll down the window in an emergency, or even a fire if the power wires shorted out.

On hghway transmission jerks when placing in reverse or drive also on road feels like it is pulling back like it wants to go in lower gear...'.also back door not closed on dash reading (electrical) miles on truck is 103000

Takata recall'- our truck keeps shifting into several gears causing the truck to pull back hard and unable to drive on highway due to shifting changes which can't be controlled by the driver.

P0705 transmission range sensor input failure. ford says there are zero recalls on this vin ever.

Rear door ajar. sensor shows driver side rear door as opened, when it has been in fact closed, closed and locked, both with and without child lock engaged.

Ford 150 loss all power -wont turn over -no battery jump-battery good-fuse good -car dead in the water-nothing work-do ford know about this-im trading it in -it happen whenever-im scare to drive it(the truck i mean)-the last time it happen-june 20-2018

Driving 70 mph when 2011 ford f-150 while driving in cruise control with a/c on lost all power..........and a tool displayed on dash. i was able to pull over on-side of interstate luckily.......turned off vehicle waited a few minutes and re-started with no further issues. i'm concerned this is similar to other issues ford products have been having. need answers before your vehicle hurts my family!!!

Battery won't if power from time to time after replacing it with a new battery. back door says it's ajar even when it's not, i did get that repaired after that my radio stopped working checked all fuses. lots of wiring issues

The display on the odometer controls randomly works. as i start the vehicle, the "ford tough" welcome screen is displayed, but part way through that welcome the display freezes and stays showing ford tough. i then do not have any access to odometer, gas distance, mpg, trailer, or any other information as the screen is frozen. this happen 90% of the time as i start the vehicle. i have reset the systems, checked fuses, connections, etc, but everything appears to be fine.

The ac does not blow through the front dashboard air vents, rather only through the defrost and floor. i have checked fuses, electrical connections, etc. i am also having issues with electric vacuum pump. not sure if related.

Air handler diverter switch burnt out causing fire at 35000 miles, power train idles high at stops trying to go, at down shift when slowing it jerks very badly truck has only 40000 miles on it. these are ongoing problems for many miles

While driving on the interstate at 70 mph my speed information screen showed the wrench and the transmission down shifted to a lower gear. i had to pull off the interstate and restart the vehicle after waiting a few minutes. after i restarted the vehicle the check engine light and wrench went out. subsequent problems have been the transmission will not shift out of gear and the information screen shows the wrench. my local mechanic said the following p codes were present, p0720 and p0722 and advised there was a recall for my specific transmission. when i called ford they said that even though my transmission was experiencing the same problems as those under recall my specific transmission was not on the recall list.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. while driving 30 mph, the steering seized and the vehicle stalled without warning. there were no warning indicators illuminated prior to the failure. the vehicle was able to be restarted after a few moments. the contact called the manufacturer and was transferred to nhtsa to file a complaint. the vehicle was taken to evergreen ford lincoln (1500 18th ave nw, issaquah, wa 98027, (425) 392-6900) where it was diagnosed that the power steering needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 150,000.

The instrument cluster lcd display loses functionality immediately after the vehicle starts. this prevents the instrument panel from displaying the selected transmission gear, increasing the risk of unintended vehicle movement. it also prevents warning chimes, messages, and lights from operating. i have no visibility about the car's health, odometer, warnings, etc.

I have several occasion for the past couple of years of my f150 not starting when turning the key on. i have taken it to the ford dealership several times but they couldn't determine the problem. i've had several occasion of the low oil pressure light turn on and the vehicle has stalled. just recently i was making a right turn and at a small angle and the truck completely stalled out while driving. i had to coast to a stop without any power steering until it finally stopped. i tried to crank it over but it wouldn't start. after about 5 minutes it finally started without issue. i've had it stall twice while i lost total control of my truck and it is extremely dangerous. i had to tow it to my dealership again today. i think i may have finally found the issue which may point to a faulty 20amp fuel pump fuse. i found some articles pointing to fuse 27 and sure enough it was burnt on one side. i am completely shocked that ford is aware of this issue and not issuing a mandatory recall until all these trucks are fixed. had this been on the freeway it could have been a complete failure of the vehicle which may have caused a serious or life threatening accident. please force a recall.

Rear windows equipped with defroster and rear passenger side windows with slider windows shatter when the rear defrost button is used. my vehicle has the slider window and upon replacing at safelite glass they said they see this frequent on ford trucks and that to prevent is to either not hookup defrost when window is replaced or not use the rear defrost.

While driving my transmission will suddenly downshifted to first gear. no rhyme or reason. the last time it happened i was probably going 35 to 40mph. it threw everyone in the cabin forward like we hit something in the road. it has happened multiple times and is getting worse. i have spoken to ford and informed them about the similarities of a recall on the same problem but ford states my vin number does not fall into the category because it was built in their canadian plant.

2011 f150 has a serious electrical problem that is a safety issue, the rear defroster on a power sliding rear window know for failing to work, and if left on and vibration from a road bump can cause a sudden connection which will then cause the rear glass to shatter, and at this point there are thousands of cases, of this problem and ford refuses to fix the issue claiming the glass is not their problem

Rear window defroster light doesn't come on. the rear window doesn't defrost but the mirrors do. do i have to wait for a fire when it is known that this is a problem and ford doesn't issue a recall. to many people are having bthis bproblem and there are fires and rear windows blowing out.

While running the defroster, the driver's side rear window popped and the glass shattered. i was driving to work in the morning going approximately 30mph. i was not turning.

When pulling out of a parking lot the instrument cluster lcd goes black, assisted power steering stops working making it hard to steer. then after a few seconds comes back on and steering rapidly corrects to current position. so far has mostly happened during the first few minutes after running. so far this has only happened once while driving on the highway during a straight stretch.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. while driving in reverse at unknown speeds, the reverse indicator did not illuminate and the back up camera failed to respond. the transmission warning indicator also illuminated. the local dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired, the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 71,986.

My 2011 ford f150 ecoboost is making a humming noise when you start the truck and move the shifter into a gear and apply the brakes., does this for about a minute or i rev the engine and it goes away. the brake pedal feels very week then the pressure comes back up. i have had this truck into gateway ford in greeneville tn since the second day i own the truck. the saleman said this is normal for this type motor. they also changed the spark plugs for a miss i was having in the motor. i have been to the dealer 4 times always get sent away like im crazy its all in my mind. don't know where else to turn any help would be very grateful. thank you this happens thru out the driving of the truck

My 2011 ford f-150 pick-up is shifting very hard from 1st gear to 2nd gear. the hard shift causes my pick-up to lurch forward abruptly. it also shifts hard some of the time when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear. i took my pick-up to our local ford dealer, and they recommended a transmission update for $100.00 not covered by the extended warranty.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. while driving at any speed, the seat belt indicator illuminated and remained activated. the vehicle was taken to finnin ford (3600 dubuque st, dubuque, ia 52003, 563-556-1010) where it was diagnosed that the rcm needed to be replaced. the technician stated that there was no recall. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. the failure mileage was approximately 50,000. *tt *js the consumer stated 7 wires were burnt through in the wiring harness. *js *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. while driving approximately 50 mph, the steering wheel seized and the power steering warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle then lost power. the contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump relay box failed and caused the fuel pump to burn. the mechanic stated that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact called cavalier ford lincoln greenbrier (1515 s military hwy, chesapeake, va 23320, phone: 757) 424-1111) and was informed that he would be responsible for the diagnostic and repair fees. the vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. the manufacturer was contacted and stated that they knew about the failure and, in order for the vehicle to be repaired, there would be a fee. the approximate failure mileage was 78,000. the vin was not available.

On 11/25/17 i was travelling on the highway at approximately 65 mph and the truck started bucking and downshifting. i was able to safely pull off at the next exit and park the truck and had to have it towed to a trusted repair shop. the truck was still bucking fairly violently even at slow speeds while i was trying to park it. the truck would also not shift into reverse. repairs were performed and a transmission shift solenoid and harness was found to be faulty.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 ford f-150. while driving approximately 10 mph, the vehicle stalled and the service warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was towed to town east ford (18411 lyndon b johnson fwy, mesquite, tx 75150), but the cause of the failure was undetermined. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the approximate failure mileage was 98,000.

No left rear break light, no left rear turn light, only flashes quickly on left side mirror and left front turn signal. had it tested with 3 different mechanics, who all state modular defect. two different ford dealers claim no issue with vinn#, yet there are recalls for same issue. problem is both stationary and moving. new bulbs short out. unable to get vehicle inspected due to issue.
