Entered the truck to start the vehicle. i put the key in the ignition and the airbag deployed with no warning. took it to ford dealership and had the truck inspected both visual and on the computer. the computer was negative for any signs that would cause the deployment of the airbag. the ford dealership suggested that i change the airbag module and the wiring harness as this could be the reason for the premature deployment. *tr

On oct 5, 2009 i left for lunch at 1:00 pm to go to lunch started my vehicle and the drivers side airbag deployed for no reason. the airbag hit my leg and burned my leg. i took my car to the dealership randall noe in terrell texas on oct 24, 2009 and they told me they would run some tests and let me know whether they would repair it or not and it has been three weeks and they still have not made up their minds whether they are going to fix it or not. i have been without a vehicle for almost 3 weeks now and they can't make up their mind whether they want to fix it or not. i am tired of being jerked around and not being told what will be done. they took the steering wheel apart because they said they could tell what made it deploy but after doing that now they say they still don't know why it deployed. they told me i could come pick it up and drive around with no airbag until they make a decision. *tr

My son, 49 years old, was backing out of his driveway, on level ground, and the airbag blew up in his face. his head was turned sideways looking in the side mirror hurting his neck. took the pickup to the ford dealer ship in gainesville, tx. they replaced the airbag and other parts and said a wire shorted out in the steering column a defective wire. this could have killed my son if he had bean driving down the highway at 70 miles per hour.this was a ford 150 2005 pickup. *tr

My truck was hit by a car that crossed the center line at a high rate of speed. her car hit the front driver side of my truck and then slammed the side driver side. her air bag deployed but mine didn't-- i now have two cracked rotor cuffs on both arms. have surgery on one already. another to be done when i recover from the first. my truck was totaled and so was the other drivers car. she was not injured. *tr

Vehicle was parked in a parking lot - driver inserted key & turned on the ignition - immediately the air bag deployed causing the horn to go off - the horn could not be turned off and had to be disconnected - the driver suffered a welt on the stomach from the impact of the air bag along with hearing impairment from the horn being unable to be turned off and breathed in dust/powder particles that were emitted from the air bag. the vehicle was brought to the ford dealer the next day @ 9:30am and they informed us at 5:00pm that same day that they would not repair the airbag/horn and we would have to contact our insurance company in which the insurance company would determine if further investigation was needed. ford motor customer service was contacted on 11/07/08 and this incident was reported but they informed me also that they would not repair the problem and i would have to contact my insurance company. *tr
