This is regarding our rear seatbelts failing on our 2004 ford f-150 1. my wife putting our car seats back in the truck 2. two seatbelts fell apart, it appears as though a nut holding them came loose 3. ford will not fix this under any warranty since i'm outside my warranty time. in my mind this should be a recall or a lifetime warranty. both of these seatbelts were connected to 2 of our baby seats; at any time we could have simply hit the brakes and they both would have come loose. i'm surprised they want to wait until an accident occurs to make it a recall. *tr

Passenger seat belt had stuck in the partially retracted position. it won't come out and it won't go back. it had given some problems before, but i think they were related to pulling it out too far and the child adjustment feature kept tightening the belt. i have not been able to get it to come loose, nor have i had the time to go to the dealer. *nm

Dt*: the contact stated the front driver side seat belts always had problems since the vehicle was purchased, at only 13000 miles. the driver side seat belt buckle would only lock after several attempts. eventually, a piece in the seat belt connector fractured and the belt will not latch at all. the belt and latch are free of other dirt and contaminants. there were no pictures or invoice available.

Passenger front seat belt fails to lock or comes unlocked after clicked. *jb

My son was in an accident 2 days ago and his air bags did not deploy. he center punched a lamp pole and totaled his truck. 2004 ford f150. he has major whip lash, and hopefully that's all, but i believe it's because he had his seat belt on and it did it's job. had the airbag deployed, it might have stopped him from being thrown as hard. *jb

Dt: was driving to work wearing seat belt and heard a click or pop from the seat belt near the shoulder of where the belt came out. consumer thought it sounded mechanical in nature. pulled at seat belt, there was no locking. after taking off seat belt, the seat belt did not retract. no repairs. called 2 dealers, and they were of no help, but suggested to bring the vehicle to shop after the weekend for repairs. had not contacted ford customer service at this time but consumer planned to do so. *ak
