Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge charger. the contact stated that when the fuel tank was filled to capacity, the vehicle stalled then the oil pressure light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who replaced the fuel tank and the fuel operational canister. however, the failure was not corrected. the vehicle continued to stall. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 70,000 and the current mileage was 109,000. the vin was not available.
Problem occurred and continues to occur after filling up the gas tank. first instance was in november 2010 and most recently december 2013. car will stall numerous times until some amount of gas is burned off after driving. first instance occurred making a turn in front of a railroad track. other instances have been on a freeway in heavy traffic causing me to have to pull over. car can restart on the first re-attempt or take up to 4 attempts. car will usually stall again seconds later. a workaround is not to fill up the tank all the way (to the auto shutoff of the gas pump) but this doesn't always work. this is with a 2006 dodge charger with a 5.7 liter hemi. chrysler denied the issue back in 2010 although the problem was starting to be documented on the internet at that time. *tr
The vehicle stalls after filling up the fuel tank, this has happened several times leaving me stranded in traffic until i could get the car to start again. it is especially vulnerable o stalling when making a left turn or coming to an abrupt stop. i have been at the mercy of other vehicles seeing my predicament and stopping to avoid running into me. i called the dealer and they said i have to bring my car in to get it tested and if the problem is verified i can get on a waiting list of over 50 people. they are currently getting replacement parts to correct the defect at the rate of one every 3 weeks. doing the math, they expect me to put myself at risk for another 3 years before correcting the problem, or take the loss and replace the vehicle. *tr
After refueling the vehicle the vehicle stalled making a left hand turn across traffic. the resulting issue didn't result in an accident but it was close. after that time, the vehicle will stall after filling the passenger fuel chamber over 60 liters. *tr
On july 4th 2009, after refueling my 2006 dodge charger r/t (5.7l hemi with approximately 38,000 miles), it stalled while driving at approximately 45mph. it ran/idled rough when restarted. since the first incident, it repeats the stalling issue randomly after refueling and has continued until current day (5/14/2013). it has stalled several times in the middle of intersections, causing dangerous situations that put my life, as well as other drivers in danger, but usually stalls when stopping at stop/yield signs. after refueling, it is unsafe for me to try and merge onto the freeway unless i circle town on low speed city roads until the car stalls or i feel it will not be an issue at the time - this is a gross waste of fuel that should not be necessary but under current circumstances, it is. through my own investigation thru on-line sources and members within my local car club, i have found the issue to likely be a faulty roll-over valve within the fuel tank, which is non-serviceable and requires replacing the entire fuel tank (about $750~900 for parts and 3~6 hours of labor). *tr

After filling up with gas car will either stall right away or sometimes after a few miles when car stalls loose power steering and brakes making for a very dangerous situation. *tr
