Brake warning light comes on periodicaly. vsc light shows on and off. brakes are unresponsive at times. all three lights come on and off. traction control is activated without warning. took to dealership today and had to pay $2,000 for a new brake booster and skid control ecu. i have seen the same problem with many other toyotas. it is a safety issue and should be part of a recall campaign. *tt
Power brakes quit working while driving. approx 8 times, when coming to a stop or backing out of a parking space, the power brakes go out. sometimes, codes appear on the dash and sometimes they don't. i usually have to restart the car to get it to work again. i have taken it in to the dealership twice and they can't find anything wrong. *tr

After breaking and coming to a complete stop it felt like i have been tapped by the car behind me. this happened quite a few times but not after every stop. *ak
I have a 2006 toyota sequoia. the vsc & trac lights as well as the brake light and the tire pressure light started coming on in the morning, usually when cold. not sure exactly when this started but it has been happening for years now. the lights usually go off when the engine is shut off and usually the only time it is an issue is when the weather gets the slightest bit cool. after researching this issue online, i am seeing that this appears to be a very common problem and apparently there have been some brake related issues (vehicle not braking properly) also associated with these lights, although there has not been a recall to date. *tr
