I was turning to exit a freeway and all of a sudden my car came to a stop (about 55mph to 0) in a matter of seconds with no warning. it then took a few seconds before i was able to get the gas to work again. no cars were around me luckily.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 toyota prius. the contact stated that while operating the vehicle the vehicle had experienced unintended acceleration and crashed into a second parked vehicle. no injuries were reported. a police report was taken at the scene. the vehicle was towed to the local dealer dch toyota (1504 us hwy 1 north brunswick nj) but the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 6,000.
Tl* the contact owned a 2013 toyota prius. the contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph, the driver pressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle but the vehicle accelerated forward and crashed into a second vehicle. during the crash the driver sustained multiple contusions to the body including the chest area which required medical treatment. the vehicle was destroyed and towed away. a police report #159681-2019 was taken at the scene. the local dealer toyota of richardson (1221 n. central expy. richardson tx.) the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 120,000.
The speedometer does not display when turning on the car. i figured out that by unplugging the battery in the back it would sometime bring it back on. now it only comes on every once in a while, it's no longer keeping track of miles when not on, as well as the fuel gauge is not keeping track of gas and have ran out twice because it stated half full.
Car worked flawlessly and we maintained it regularly. took it in to address recall of jov update pwr mgmt ecu at dealer. dealer completed recall work. 2 days later engine lite check hybrid system and the ! on and triangle on. the car continued run but now was studdering when was not before the recall work. took it back to the dealer and he said we need a new hybrid battery. we believe the software update they did created a this issue. dealer acting ignorant and saying it needs new battery because of number of miles on car. asked for diagnostic print out from when they did recall work to they new diagnosis and they would not provide. we believe the recall update created a technical problem with our hybrid battery. we also believe that dealer not being honest regarding issues with this recall update and is using it as an opportunity to reduce liability for toyota on failed recall work and to use it as an opportunity to bring in large ticket sales repair ie they quoted us a new hybrid battery for 5,500.
Taka inflator, i was in a car accident and none of the air bags deployed. it was head on accident. also my car just started to speed up. i ended up hitting a billboard.
