Tl* the contact owned a 2003 toyota matrix. while driving approximately 50 mph, the contact rear ended another vehicle. the front end of the contact's vehicle was severely damaged, but the air bags did not deploy. the driver sustained an injured chest and shoulder, which required medical treatment. the vehicle was destroyed and towed. a police report was filed. the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 190,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 toyota matrix. while pulling into a parking space, the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration and crashed into an apartment building. the driver stated that the brake pedal was depressed during the failure. the front end of the vehicle was severely damaged, but the air bag did not deploy. the driver sustained a fractured sternum, which required medical attention. the vehicle was towed to the contact's home. the cause of the failure was not determined. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact indicated that the vehicle was previously serviced for both unintended acceleration and an unknown air bag recall. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the local dealer was not notified. the failure mileage was 40,000. the vin was invalid.

I have gotten the "takata recall" letter and took my car on march 18, 2018, with mike briseno from toyota here near my place 1901 s figueroa st, los angeles, ca 90007. they offered me an uber ride home from the dealership with my husband and said it will take 2-3 hours. got the call from mike briseno and said that my car is ready. i got there and he said they did not do anything and had to order the parts. called the dealership on may 16, 2018, talked to mike said he will call me to see back order and never responded if the parts ever arrived since may 2018. car was never fixed.
How can i get toyota to quit sending me notices. i'm getting about 1 a week now for a car that was demolished at a junkyard in january 2017. i've provided them proof that they are sending to me but they won't stop....please help or forward me on to someone who can help. thanks!
Takata recall we received our recall notice letter and immediately contacted our local authorised toyota in rhinelander wi and were told it would take a few weeks for the replacement parts to arrive. after not hearing from them in that time we phoned again, and after once again giving our vin and information , we were told who ever took the call had not submitted the order . so once again we are told it's on backorder and they will contact us when it comes in so they can set up a appointment time to fix it. the recall notice recommended not having a occupant in the front passenger seat. we should be provided with a safe vehicle by toyota to use with the length of time this is taking until this is fixed.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2011 toyota matrix. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v340000 (air bags); however, the part needed for the repair was not available. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the contact called west kendall toyota at (786) 619-3668 (located at 13800 sw 137th ave, miami, fl 33186) where it was confirmed that parts were not available. the manufacturer also informed the contact that parts were not available. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.
