I keep having issues where radar cruise and lane assist shut off randomly with the message that radar cruise is unavailable . this has happened since new and has been looked at by toyota 4 times with no repair
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 toyota corolla. the contact stated that while reversing out of a parking lot, the vehicle accelerated. the contact depressed the brake pedal but was not able to stop. the contact placed the vehicle in neutral which failed to engage causing the contact to crash into a post. no airbag deployed. no medical attention was contacted. no police report was made and no injuries were sustained. the vehicle was taken to the dealer infiniti of las vegas (5555 w sahara ave, las vegas, nv 89146 (702) 829-5975) where it was unable to duplicate a failure. the vehicle was test drove and still unable to duplicate the issue. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure recurred. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and an investigation was started. the failure mileage was approximation 600.

2016 toyota corolla, 80,000 miles. i'm driving up a hill towards the freeway and my car slows and comes to a stop. i try to turn the car on and it won't turn on. get it towed to a mechanic and they say the transmission failed and it'll be $8,000 to repair. this transmission failure came out of the blue and my car isn't even covered for it because my warranty expired at 75,000 miles. contacted toyota usa and they said my car isn't covered under the cvt recall of certain 2014-2017 corollas so i'm left with this mysterious transmission defect which put me in a dangerous situation as i was trying to head onto the freeway!
Tl* the contact owns a 2019 toyota corolla. while driving, the steering wheel went out of control. while the contact was depressing the accelerator pedal and entering the garage, a loud noise was heard and the vehicle accelerated. the contact depressed the brake pedal, but crashed into the garage wall. there were no injuries. the vehicle was initially towed to a tow yard and later to a repair shop. the black box was removed, diagnostic testing was completed, and the acceleration failure was repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 1910112521. the dealer was not contacted. the failure mileage was approximately 14,468. *ln *tr *js
Car recently is not shifting properly. drives at high rpms and if i accelerate too quickly say i get up to 80 mph on highway car won't shift into next gear the rpms suddenly drop all the way down to under 1000 and quits accelerating until it jumps back into gear. have to let foot off the gas for it to shift and cruise control has been not functioning properly either.
When cruise control engaged, if it hits a level or down hill it appears to down shift, but continue to speed up. it should just reduce the fuel to slow down. this appears to be a program problem. this happens at all speeds. it was bought used from a toyota dealer. i have not asked the service department yet.
I was slowly pulling up the driveway to park behind another vehicle when the corolla suddenly surged forward. it accelerated quickly and i couldn't stop it. it crashed into the back of the other vehiclewaaq. both vehicles sustained damage but the corolla's is significant.
When accelerating the engine revolutions rise in excess and there is no logical increase in the speed. the transmission software was updated and i think it's worse.
Malfunction of cruse control. set at 60 mph on level ground tach will go from 1600 rpm to 4000 rpm. no increase in speed detected. does this often. disableing cruse control will bring engine speed back to normal.
