I was parking my car in my garage and moved from the brake to the gas to move up a small amount. i barely touched the gas and the car surged forward hitting a shelving unit in my garage. it was a very scary event. the car and shelving unit were damaged. thankfully, no individuals were injured.

My car will not let me accelerate past 40mph. once i do pass 40mph my check engine light and check hybrid system light comes on and the car shuts down right after. this is all when driving the vehicle. the first time happened on the highway when i went 65 and it cut straight out.
I have a 2019 toyota camry hybrid , i have always taken very good care of it maintenance wise etc. ,my wife & i were driving a few days ago and heard a ticking noise that sounded odd so we immediately stopped at a pep boys as it sounded oddly- i he gentlemen there checked the oil mind you we always only ever take the car to toyota dealerships but had never heard this ticking noise and wanted to check right away. the gentleman told us that we needed oil and proceeded to add 2qts if oil , he checked again and added 2more quarts , we also have never had to add oil nor have we burned oil in his car ever in between oil changes - this was very odd as we have never enemies had a drop of oil in our driveway ever. so after the oil was added we started the car and the ticking noise had subsided, we headed towards our home and a severe loud clanking noise way worse than before started and a light came on telling us to immediately pull over and to place the car in park- we towed ...
The vehicle did not respond properly to the driver pressing the accelerator. when the driver attempted to drive the vehicle after it had been parked for a few hours, with no problems previously, the vehicle would barely accelerate. the vehicle felt very sluggish and even with the accelerator fully pressed it would not exceed 25 mph. the driver pulled the vehicle over and turned off the vehicle and turned it back on but this did not immediately resolved the issue. the driver drove the vehicle for a few blocks to a safer parking location and turned off the vehicle again to better inspect the vehicle. there were no warnings on the instrument panel and no obvious signs of mechanical issues. the driver restarted the vehicle and attempted to drive it again the issue did not re-appear. this vehicle had not yet been inspected by the dealership since the incident but could have resulted in a tragic collision and needs to be addressed.
Unauthorized acceleration of the car in a parking lot. the car was in a slow right turn while preparing to park, and the car surged forward without application of the accelerator pedal. driver headed toward a tree in order to miss a public utility box but a high curb assisted in stopping the vehicle.
When i come to a full stop and attempt to drive the vehicle sort of "stalls" then eventually the gears catch and it starts to drive. this can be very dangerous when trying to pick up speed in a highway or something. the first time it happened i was at a stop sign. upon depressing the brake, the vehicle did not pick up speed, it slowly rolled forward. after about 5-10 seconds, the vehicle then seemed to "catch gears" and picked up speed. i also noticed the hybrid battery wasn't charging very well and seemed to be hot as the battery fans were constantly on.
I was driving my 2015 toyota camry le after dropping off my son at day care on july 13, 2018. i experienced a seizure while on the high way traveling at a safe speed with the flow of traffic. i became unconscious, and was awakened by a nurse who kindly gave me medical care to prevent further injury. the police officer stated that my vehicle began to slow down and veer to the left, hitting guard wires on the side of the high way. my drivers side window was shattered, and the left and right quarter panels were demolished. the roof was caved in and body was destroyed. my airbags on the 2015 toyota camry never deployed. i was taken to the local hospital by an ambulance and treated with imaging ordered by the physician, then discharged.
