2007 Subaru Outback

I bought the 2007 subaru outback ll bean new. this is the second time that the airbag light goes on and off intermittently. the first time i replaced the overhead circuit board. this time i am having trouble finding one. the solder joints in the circuit board are faulty, causing loose connections. this is a dangerous situation that has been reported to nhtsa many times by other owners. when the air bag light is on, the air bags will not deploy. some people have been seriously injured because of this. there should be a recall on this problem. there is currently a second recall on the air bags themselves, but not on the circuit board. how many accidents does there have to be for you to demand a recall on this problem?

Over the last year, this vehicle has had two distinct takata airbag recalls. i have received notices from our dealership and from subaru corporate, attached. i am living in bosnia as a us diplomat. there is not a subaru dealership in this country. i accomplished the last recall, with significant logistical difficulty, with the help of the subaru dealership in croatia. however, there is a current open recall for the passenger-side airbag (recall id btm3-efx). despite multiple emails to the dealer (byer subaru in alexandria, va) where we purchased the car and to my contacts in croatia, i have not received any assistance. the dealership in croatia was, supposedly, contacting subaru italia, but to date, i have not made any progress in resolving this recall. i very much need guidance as this is a family car and, according to the recall notices, this is a significant safety issue. when i contacted subaru corporate in the past, i was advised that, because the car was overseas, they believed they were absolved of any responsibility, a ridiculous claim.

Airbag warning light comes on when charging samsung galaxy note 9 phone with staples charger plugged into 12v socket. this is not only happening in my subaru. i rented a 2019 nissan pick up and the exact same thing happened. the questions that i have are: are the airbags still functional when the warning light comes on. is it an issue with the samsung galaxy note 9. is it an issue with a quick charger plugged into the 12v socket. since it happened on 3 cars (2 different subarus, nissan truck), my assumption is the phone, charger or combination of the two. happens when i plug the phone in, within a few minutes, i'm usually in motion. doesn't matter city, highway, turning, etc. this has been happening regularly for some time.

Slowly pulling straight into parking spot at grocery store. applied brake when car suddenly accelerated. i was able to control steering, but brakes would not work. steered car into empty parking spot in front of me then turned hard right to avoid hitting parked cars in row across. subaru hit a pick up truck that was reversing out of a diagonal parking spot. the car didn't stop upon impact, instead both right side wheels climbed up the side of truck at an angle. air bags didn't deploy on impact. this was a very dangerous situation. the acceleration was uncontrollable and i am afraid to drive the car.

I was driving at about 65 miles/hour on highway 17 near apalachin, ny, when a deer jumped from the right side and hit the front of my car. both front airbags deployed. immediately, the gas released from the airbags completely fogged the windshield reducing visibility zero, so i could not see where i was going during the braking period. fortunately, i only shifted to the other line and there were no other cars around. the gas deposit remained on the windshield and i had to use a cloth to clean it. in my opinion, the fogged windshield resulting from the airbag deployment was a much higher safety hazard than the collision with the deer itself. an unrelated complaint is that after the car stopped, the doors were blocked (would not open) for half a minute or so.

I accepted a recall to replace the passenger air bag by the dealer evenston subaru, 3340 oakton str, skokie, ill, 60076; after this recall replacement was performed, my car had problems like the passenger window did not opperate from the commend button of the same door and the power outlet from the middle console did not have power. the dealer that produced these troubles refuse to support the cost of repair.

Takata recall subaru is providing a loaner while the repair takes place. when i arrived at bertera subaru, in west springfield, ma. for the scheduled repair they told me that i had to put a credit card "on file" so that they could give me the loaner. i am placed in a situation of losing a day's pay or kkeping my passengers in mortal danger.. can they discriminate against the poor in administering a federally mandated recall? can you do something about this?
