My car has a dead battery. i just replaced the battery in november 2018 and it is already dead. this also happened in november 2018 and when i brought it to the dealer they said everything was fine with the battery and they could not find anything wrong. the car runs for a few days and then the car battery dies again. i have the battery swapped out for one with a higher cca. this battery i bought in november 2018 has no power as of february 2020 which is too short of a lifespan. there must be something in the car draining the battery and subaru does not want to fix it.
My back-up camera completely stopped working. the car doesn't even switch into a mode where i can see the camera when i shift the car into reverse; it stays on whatever screen it was on. nothing happened to the vehicle, it just quit working yesterday afternoon.
I bought the 2007 subaru outback ll bean new. this is the second time that the airbag light goes on and off intermittently. the first time i replaced the overhead circuit board. this time i am having trouble finding one. the solder joints in the circuit board are faulty, causing loose connections. this is a dangerous situation that has been reported to nhtsa many times by other owners. when the air bag light is on, the air bags will not deploy. some people have been seriously injured because of this. there should be a recall on this problem. there is currently a second recall on the air bags themselves, but not on the circuit board. how many accidents does there have to be for you to demand a recall on this problem?
Car battery completely drained after sitting over night in garage. no electrical left on to cause drainage, car was locked after use. approx 6k miles on vehicle, no prior indication of battery failure.
2009 subaru outback stalling while driving. the engine turned off while driving with light acceleration at low speeds (5-20 mph) without warning. warning lights flickered on and off. i was able to restart the car. this is a huge safety issue to have the car stall out without warning. subara south blvd dealership say they do not know the root cause. prior to the above incidence the car, while driving at low speeds, would occasionally shudder and the warning lights would flicker on then go off. it felt like the car was going to shut off but it didn't. now it is shutting off. it's completely unsafe.
Once parking the vehicle and placing it in park, the key stays locked in the ignition. this isn't related to the steering wheel being locked in place, the key is stuck. shifting in/out of park needs to happen multiple times. looking into this online, there are multiple reports of this happening. this is a safety issue because we are unable to get out of the car with our kids because the key is stuck in the ignition.
When you hit the button to release the rear hatch it does not open all the time. you get three beeps and the hatch does not open. if you use the key fob and attempts to open the rear hatch is the same thing three beeps and does not open. the only way to get it open is to disconnect battery cable wait a minute reconnect cable then hit the button then rear power hatch opens. this is happened multiple timesi took vehicle to dealer wants to get it looked at they could not replicate the issue. same issue happened again today. sidenote when i enter my pin it comes up on your site is a 2017 my subaru forrester sport is a 2019
My outback has around 42,000 miles on it. i am having trouble getting the key to come out of the ignition after putting it in park. so far about half the time i turn the car off i need to shift it into reverse and then jam it back into park in order for it to unlock the key from the ignition.
Poor rear camera visibility, leading me to nearly hit gas pumps
I have replaced the battery twice and the battery is still dead if i don't drive the vehicle for more than 3 days. obviously there is a parasitic drain. i don't have an options or accessories installed that did come with the vehicle when purchased.
