Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ram 1500. while driving 25 mph, the passenger side curtain and side air bags deployed, as well as the seat belt pretensioner, without warning or an impact occurring. the vehicle was taken to national dodge chrysler jeep ram (2223 n marine blvd, jacksonville, nc 28546, (844) 872-2972) where the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that a technician would be sent out in two days to inspect the vehicle. a complaint was filed with the manufacturer. the failure mileage was 69,195.
Every 5 or 10 miles the airbag warning light activates on the dashboard. the warning light does not activate while the vehicle is not in motion however if it is activated and then the vehicles put into park shut off and restarted the warning light will remain on for anywhere from one mile to a hundred miles then shut off and another 5 or 10 miles later turn back on

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ram 1500. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator started flashing and remained illuminated permanently. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 58,000. vehicle was taken to the dodge dealer where consumer purchased vehicle.. consumer was informed that he would have to pay to have diagnostic testing done to determine the cause of the failure. consumer states failure is common in other 2012 dodge ram 1500 vehicles. consumer says failure was caused by the wiring harness in the steering column. manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not assist. *dl
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ram 1500. while driving 15 mph, the driver's side air bag popped without warning. after the air bag popped, the check engine and air bag warning indicators illuminated. there were no injuries. the contact took the vehicle to richardson chrysler jeep dodge ram (1321 n central expy, richardson, tx 75080, 214-329-0862) and was informed that there was an unknown transmission recall on the vehicle, but nothing in relation to the air bags. the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 15v459000 (air bags); however, the vin was not included. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 81,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 ram 1500. while driving 50 mph, a semi truck struck the front driver's side door of the contact's vehicle. as a result, the contact lost control and spun around a couple of times. the air bags did not deploy. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the contact sustained injuries to the spine and base of her skull, her left leg was fractured, and her pelvis was shifted and needed realignment. the contact was taken to the emergency room and was seeking medical attention from a chiropractor several times a week. a police report was filed. the contact stated that the rear passenger tire was destroyed, which prevented the vehicle from being driven. the vehicle was towed to a body shop. gene's chrysler dodge jeep ram (located at 3400 s cushman st, fairbanks, ak 99701, (907) 452-7117) was made aware of the failure. when the contact purchased the vehicle on july 1, 2019, she was informed that it had been serviced per nhtsa campaign number: 19v407000 (air bags, seat belts). the manufacturer was notified and opened an investigation. the failure mileage was 3,466.*dt *ln *tr *dt *tr *tr
