I got into my car after i have already took it to the nissan dealer and got the 1 recall fixed and my check engine light has popped on again! since i have purchased this car which has been little than over 2 weeks it has had issue after issue. when driving the car sometimes it seems like it wants to cut off and while drive its like there is a turbo engine in it because it makes a loud noise when you are driving it and sometimes (most of the time) it almost seems hard to control the car while driving on the hwy.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan sentra. the contact stated while driving 60 mph uphill, the rpm's revved up however, the vehicle decelerated to 40 mp. the contact stated no warning light was illuminated. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 40 mph. the vehicle was taken to local dealer torre nissan located at 2069 79125, ca-111, la quinta, ca 92253, where the technician was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not informed of failure. the failure mileage was 77,060.

On my way to work this morning december 2019 my car going at around 50 mph stop responding to the gas pedal and i had to quickly pull over in a strip mall so i would not be hit or cause an accident. i had to turn the car off and on again to get going, after that i slowly went to work. this had happened to me on a few occasions already. when i researched it i found out that a lot of people said this is a common occurrence with this year vehicle. this is dangerous.

I was sitting in traffic at a red light, when the traffic light turned green i pressed the gas petal to drive and my car immediately began to slow down on its own and it just cut off and all of the lights came on. after waiting a few minutes i was able to restart the car to make it home. also while driving i could feel the car shaking or vibrating, even when i slowed down or came to a stop at a light it was shaking/vibrating, i don't know what this is. i did have my car serviced last month and the engine light was on and the dealership told me there was nothing wrong and wasn't sure why the light was on. it has been a month and my engine light remains on, and i don't know what to do. i worry when driving because i can't help but wonder if my car is going to cut off again while i'm driving and cause an accident, i also worry every time i feel it shake/vibrate thinking its going to cut off. this is very unsafe and worrisome. i hope this issue can be resolved- not a happy nissan owner right now.

Car stalls when driving in the street or freeway takes a long time to reach 20 mph and doesn't go past that transmission makes a rattling noise on 09/01/2019 my transmission gave out and needed to have my car towed home

I am terrified. going up a hill my car loses power and i start coasting around 40mph and struggle to maintain the speed of traffic the highest i can go is 60mph. i have nearly been involved in multiple accidents as a result and often have to find a way to squeezes myself into the he truck lane although they still are able to over take me. my car has 50,000 miles and is well kept but it struggles so much going uphill i can feel the whirring and it's like my transmission is struggling to keep up while everyone passes me and tries to avoid colliding with me as a result of my sudden drop in speed. no matter how hard i press the gas nothing happens and i feel unsafe and feel i am a danger to other drivers on the road. this needs to change. this is unacceptable. i heard they attempted to fix the issue but there has to be something more that can be done. please look into this. you can even borrow my car if you'd like to test this out. i also feel it may cause excessive overheating.

As i was driving at night, my 2014 nissan sentra started to experience sudden jerkiness and issues with rpm's, acceleration problems as well as an unwillingness to change gears. (this is an automatic). as i researched the issue, nissan has issued a recall / extended warranty 7year 100,000 mile for nissans that have the cvt transmission however not all 2014 nissan sentra's with the cvt transmission were included.

While operating under normal everyday driving on a city street a stop light the car just shuts down. had a new transmission put in at under 90,000 miles. and then it happened again. at a light, the car just shuts down in the middle of the road and won't move....*bf.. *tr

This vehicle has had countless sporadic acceleration issues and feel as though it would stall/loose power but it has actually completely stalled on me on 3 occasions. 1st time: i was driving the vehicle at about 10 mph looking for a parking spot and as i pressed the gas pedal, the vehicle would shudder and would not accelerate and then the engine completely stopped as i was trying to move forward in the parking lot. i had to restart the engine. i took the care to a nissan dealership. the car had approximately 3,300 miles on it. i was told they could not find/recreate the problem and the car did not have a recall. nothing was done. 2nd time: i was driving straight down a regular street at about 30 mph and as i tried accelerating, the car started shuddering and again, would not accelerate any more. i had to coast/pull the car over into a nearby neighborhood. 3rd time: i was on the freeway going about 50 mph when the car would jerk as i pressed the gas pedal, the rpm gage jumped around, and the car would lose power so i had to coast to the side of the freeway. the vehicle came to a complete stop. i restarted the car and tried to accelerate enough to enter the freeway at a safe speed, but would only get to a safe speed after driving the car forward in the emergency lane for a few minutes. then, after i was able to enter the freeway, the car would lose power again and i would have to coast off to the edge of the freeway away from speeding vehicles. it was night time and visibility was low because it was a unlit highway in the middle of the desert between nevada and arizona. i was lucky not have been hit by a car. i towed the vehicle to a nissan dealership and was informed the cvt transmission need replacing. it cost $4,607.83 (with car rental) to replace. the car had about 77,000 miles at the time. i do not trust this vehicle anymore, even after the replaced transmission. *dt ..*bf *jb

Cvt needs to be replaced and car isn't even at 80,000miles

I was driving for about 15 miles- i came to a red light- vehicle stopped and the check engine light came on. turned the ignition off and on - vehicle would move forward an inch and stop again. vehicle was towed to the mechanic; mechanic said there is a recall and the system needs to be reprogrammed.

Takata recall my check engine light keeps coming on and off. i've had the sensor replaced once for over $350.00 two years ago. however, now the check engine light has reappeared and went off twice in the past 30 day. i've kept up with maintenance since my initial purchase of the vehicle. firestone asked me to check with the nissan dealerships to find out if the mass air flow is covered under some sort of warranty before i pay them to perform anything because they see this issue occurring in many nissans they've performed on.

On 3 different occasions my 2014 nissan sentra has stalled and started on its own. i noticed that the rpm gage will look jumpy then it feels as the car is shaking then it stalls and within 5 minutes it turns back on. this has happened when at stop light in traffic and while in the drove thru it fast food restaurant. my concerns is im always driving with my kids in the car and what if this occurs when in a situation that can put my children and self in danger.

While driving my 2014 nissan sentra (66,000 miles) on the highway, i noticed the rpms started fluctuating, followed by difficulty shifting. i exited the highway and came to a full stop. the car was then unable to accelerate. putting it in park, turning the engine off and on again allowed me to accelerate and drive to a gas station. i called my mechanic, he said it could be contaminated gas, and directed me to find a nearby autozone, where an employee scanned the car and agreed it was contaminated gas. i purchased seafoam and put it in the gas tank, with assurances that this would clear up the issue but the ride may be 'bumpy'. i decided to finish my drive to new orleans. upon entering new orleans and shifting to stop and go traffic, it was apparant the issue had not resolved itself. the vehicle was barely accelerating or shifting. it felt very unsafe to drive through an unknown city. the following morning, i brought it to autozone again, this time the scan showed issues with the transmission. i had a technician reboot the computer, but nothing changed. not knowing the severity of the issue and being 500+ miles from home and my mechanic, i decided to risk the drive back to nashville, having had everyone at the autozone and my mechanic tell me at 66k miles the transmisson should not need to be services. the car was clearly having issues, but i was able to get it to highway speed. i made it to about 200 miles outside of nashville when it simply became too unsafe for me to continue on the highway. i got a tow 200m home, directly to my mechanic. he inspected the transmission the following day and found the transmission fluid was dangerously low with no sign of leakage. after changing the fluid, he determined the transmission needed to be replaced. i took it into carmax, where i has purchased the vehicle just over a year prior. they came to the same conclusion.

The engine light has been on/off for over a year. i have had it "fix" . code kept saying massair sensor. last week i took it in again and they put on an updated clip. and told me the transmission was failing . so i did research and learned that some cars have recalls on this and would be covered til 120,000 miles . they said my vin was not covered. if this is an universal issues why is it not covered .

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan sentra. while driving 50 mph, the vehicle decelerated and shook violently. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was pushed off the road by another driver and the contact powered off the engine. the vehicle was restarted, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed, but no failure code was found. the vehicle was not repaired. in addition, while driving, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was able to coast to the side of the road. the vehicle was pushed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the failure recurred. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 85,000. the vin was not available.

Cvt transmission failed, needed replaced after 95,000 miles. the car started shifting hard from a stop and between gears. four different mechanics, included a nissan technician, all agreed that it was a bad cvt transmission. nissan technician looked up extended warranty, which was offered on 2007-2010 models, but has not yet been extended to newer models and therefore could not be applied to my car. i just spent $3800 to get the transmission replaced on a 3 1/2 year old car.

I bought a 2014 nissan sentra about 2= months ago they said that the cvt and transmission was faulty and they will not repair it and there are a lot of complaints and recalls on this matter. i still owe 12000 on this car and i am not paying 6000 or something i didn't cause. i am paying for a car that i cant drive.

After starting my engine, shifting my car in drive and moving forward, i hear a weird noise and my car kicks back a little before moving forward. please help?

While driving the car does not accelerate right, it shifts, it "lulls" it hesitates, i have an issue trying to accelerate fast enough at stop lights and driving on the merge ramps from the highway i drive everyday to work. at times it feels like as shifting gears, it quickly shifts to another gear or like i mentioned above, there is a ""hesitation" between shift gears.

Tamara recall i own a 2014 nissan sentra and about a week ago i was driving home from work on the freeway. i was slowing down because there was a construction zone coming up when all of the sudden my engine shuts off in the middle of the freeway. i had no control of the breaks i had to use the e break before i caused a pile up. i have tried to contact nissan but i have had no luck.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan sentra. while driving 35 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact turned the vehicle off and restarted it after a period of time. the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated while restarting. planet nissan of las vegas, nevada was contacted and advised the contact to bring the vehicle in to be serviced. the manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. the failure mileage was 57,000.

Another car hit me in a frontal collision, while waiting at a light and the airbag never came out.

First issue happened couple months after i bought it on 12/27/2014 purchased new only 18 miles on it on 5/10/15 i took it in for maintenance because the driver side tire was making a wierd clicking noise when i would stop or turn. second issue now is the transmission jerking as if slipping running out of gas my car is still in new.condition is barely 2 years old it should not have had all these issues my car was in motion wgen it began to stall on an intersection it was very dark and dangerous on rheir multipoint inspection they stated my fluid levels were good but my transmission fluid was not.it turned out to be empty

Mt vehicle since i bought it with only 3 miles has when coming to a stop start to shake vigorously brought it to the attention when i had my ac compressor replaced at only 50,000 miles , mind you i do drive my vehicle alot 125 miles a day and its all highway but i also maintain it regularly// the vehicle going at 65 miles per hour the other day started to hesitate and rpms started to jump higher and lose power on a main highway during the afternoon in san antonio where traffic is bad i had my little girl and that loss of acceleration and jump /clunk almost caused me to get rear ended by a 18 wheeler which honked at me and scared my little girl// after research on this make and model i have found that there has been numerous complaints in the same regard same issue risking life and safety due to a fault that nissan knows about due to recall they set for 03 - 10 years and models using the cvt transmission now my vehicle is a 2014 and after research see that many consumers are put in the same dangerous situation and have complained only for it to fall on deaf ears. i am now scared to drive a vehilce that i still owe on due to having my 4 year old in with me

Vehicle constantly jerks when driving, stalls and slow to accelerate; transmission replaced with negative results. problem continues to exist. *tr *js

Engine stalled while driving vehicle and did not turn back on

While driving 65 mph with cruise control on, the cruise control cut out and my car started slowing down. i depressed the gas pedal but the car continued to slow down to about 45 mph, then started slowly gaining speed. after work, i drove home without incident. next day was foggy so not using cruise control. vehicle slowed down again from 60 mph down to about 45 mph. also got no response when depressing gas pedal. this time the traction control light on the dashboard came on. drove home after work without incident. i had gotten the oil changed the day before the first incident happened. i had no previous problems prior to that. the issue seems to have resolved itself as the car is running fine now. if it occurs again, i'll have it checked out.

Tl*the contact owns a 2014 nissan sentra. the contact stated that while driving 70 mph, the engine stalled without warning. the vehicle was merged to the side of the road and failed to accelerate until the economy mode was turned off. the failure recurred on numerous occasions. the vehicle was taken to a dealer. the technician was not able to duplicate the failure. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 12,000.

While taking vehicle to dealer to el paso casa nissan for drift/ pull and constant input to keep in center line on windy day and trany on up hill failure from a dead start. my wife's vehicle stall and shake almost like engine will shut, almost on stop on braking. happened.twice, first at stop light about half mile away from my house, second at gas station about 3 miles away. a/c on. *tr
