On average, the 2014 Nissan Sentra starts to “feel” problems with the UNKNOWN OR OTHER and its various aspects after 58 429 miles.

Recently reported UNKNOWN OR OTHER problems on 2014 Nissan Sentra

I got into my car after i have already took it to the nissan dealer and got the 1 recall fixed and my check engine light has popped on again! since i have purchased this car which has been little than over 2 weeks it has had issue after issue. when driving the car sometimes it seems like it wants to cut off and while drive its like there is a turbo engine in it because it makes a loud noise when you are driving it and sometimes (most of the time) it almost seems hard to control the car while driving on the hwy.

Cvt transmission is slipping causing delays to power while driving the vehicle, delays to engage when accelerating, vigorous shaking when idling as well as while driving.

Transmission issue when coming to a yield to take off again the car stalls makes a grounding noise. then it takes off . you have to come to a complete stop first so that it doesn't hesitate. does this when turning from yielding.

Tracmition problen

Car's transmission was replaced in march of 2018. i have been informed by the nissan dealership that the transmission needs to be replaced again. the transmission that was replaced, the first time, is no longer covered by the warranty. i expressed concerns that no vehicle which is serviced regularly should require another transmission in a year and a half.

I have a 2014 nissan sentra sv. last week at just over 100k miles my transmission went out on my car. i have the cvt transmission and my car has always been well taken care of. nissan claims the transmission ian out of warranty. when my transmission went out i was going 65mph on the freeway and my car completely stopped. there is so much jerking and tugging. it is a safety risk and nissan needs to take responsibility for the defect on the cvt in these cars. they now want almost $4000 for a new transmission to be put in which will most likely still be defective.

Takata recall

My brake system has unknown problem . i had a mechanic replace all brake componets including pad rotors shoes drums ect. and i still pedal fade and unreliable braking when appling brakes . this happens at various speeds and conditions

My car is a 2014 nissan sentra and is slipping do to problem with transmission also vibrates alot shakes to much when i accelerate it feels like its loosing power.

My complaint seems to be the same as everyone else with this vehicle....a faulty transmission! i just don't understand how nissan isn't replacing their faulty equipment! of course as we are just out of the warranty, it is not their problem! my husband was driving the car on the highway and had to get off since the car would no longer accelerate over 40mph. the rmp gauge would go but the car wouldn't! it is very disappointing to know that nissan isn't being held more accountable for such a massive error in their manufacturing.

I have a 2014 nissan sentra the transmission is skipping years and jerking when i was on the freeway are you then put it in cruise control to see if it would stop and it wouldn't then when i was in the city it was still jerking and skipping as well when this starting happening i took the to a mechanic. the mechanic then said the transmission was slipping and i took it to a transmission specialist. the transmission specialist then stated he has four other nissan is the same model in his shop with the same issue. i then called the dealership and they refused to fix the vehicle under warranty or recall. the nissan dealership even stated they are having issues with these vehicles but the only extended warranty is on the 2010 and will not fix my vehicle.

Transmission is broken

This 2014 nissan sentra has been in my possession since september 12, 2015. the issue started up on sunday, july 1, 2018. i noticed the car hesitating and "jerking" whenever i attempted to accelerate above 40 mph to reach highway speed. the problem increased dramatically over the week, and during my commute on friday, july 6, 2018, my car was resisting accelerating, rpm would jump up and down while attempting to get to highway speeds and acceleration seemed to be the most difficult thing to accomplish. on my way back home from work on friday july 6, 2018 is when the problem became blatantly dangerous. i ended up experiencing a sudden "drop" in speed on the highway. the car went from 65 mph to 30 mph and refused to go any faster. the rpm did jump dramatically at one point, from barely over 1 rpm leaping up to 7 rmp, though the car's speed did not increase. the car whined loudly when that happened, then it plummeted back down to the barely over 1 rmp. i managed to get the car back up to highway speed on a downhill portion of the highway, and got myself almost to my home. the car ceased to accelerate or even recognize i was pushing on the gas pedal after coming to a complete stop at an intersection 8 blocks from my home. i called my boyfriend who came down to assist a kind neighbor who heard me trying to get my car going by turning it on and back off numerous times to no avail. he thought it "simply needed transmission fluid", as the car sounded like it wanted to go....just couldn't "catch gears". this gentleman and my boyfriend ended up giving the nissan a push/running start after i started it back up and put it into drive. incredibly, this allowed the car to make the last 8 blocks to my driveway, where the car came to a very abrupt, halting stop after putting it into park. terrified to drive it, my dealership is nearly 100 miles away..leaving me sol.

Gas gauge is not working you can fill the gas all the way up and the gauge doesn't go on the full bar it just fills up to 3/4. then the gas miles will say 340 then next thing you know it says 280 then drive a little more it goes to 320. the a/c doesn't work as much as you fix it and for the a/c to blow cool the gas has to be filled up all the way.

On 5 different occasions my nissan sentra has stalled on its own while driving on the highway. i've only had this car for 3 years and my car is very well maintained. i've noticed that the rpm gage looks shaky then the car stalls as if i'm going to break down. this is a big safety concern to me cause this could cause deaths. i drive with my children. also i've taken it to the dealer and they don't know what is wrong with it.

On 3 different occasions my 2014 nissan sentra has stalled and started on its own. i noticed that the rpm gage will look jumpy then it feels as the car is shaking then it stalls and within 5 minutes it turns back on. this has happened when at stop light in traffic and while in the drove thru it fast food restaurant. my concerns is im always driving with my kids in the car and what if this occurs when in a situation that can put my children and self in danger.

I was not happy with the car i made it clear when i first seen it . i was in two car accidents with two months after the accidents i found out it had been in 2 accidents befre i got it a real lemon the car dealer ran the con man game on me an my family at a time i was stranded and in distress i want my money back and return this deadly car.

After starting my engine, shifting my car in drive and moving forward, i hear a weird noise and my car kicks back a little before moving forward. please help?

While at a stop light in a city street the engine went dead and the lights in the dash board lit up. after several attempts to restart the car i turned off the a/c and the car started up again. if this had occurred on the freeway a major problem could have occurred.

Takata recall my car shut down completely on me with out a warning while i was driving on the streets going towards work. i need nissan to check out what's going on this is not just happening to one person but a lot. something has to be done as soon as possible

I never received notification that there was a recall on my vehicle. i was checking my online account and called for technical support and was told at that time. nissan has all my numbers, address and two emails and i was not notified. the problem was fixed, but my concern is that i was not notified!!!

Rear window defroster defected and shattered window while at a red light

Turned on rear defoster to defrost window. about 10 min later i was sitting at red light when my rear window shattered.

The defroster in back window caused my window to shatter. evidence shows the defroster in three different spots was melted or got to hot.

Rear door on passenger side not opening from the inside. brand new car has only been driven 4900 miles.

My car idles very high when i start it.the rpm goes past 2 and takes several minutes to come down.it stalls during take off and the dealer says nothing is wrong.the only time my rpm is at 0 is when the car is off

I was driving on the streets, about to enter the freeway onto south i-880 and i hear a bang. the driver's side window shatters inward. the city of fremont police came and inspected my car and didn't see anything that could've caused it. incident history# p14101613 date: 12/10/14 time: 1710 hours the next day, my dad went to the nissan dealership that sold me the brand new 2014 nissan sentra back in may of 2014 but the manager on duty said in his 30 years working there, he had never heard of such an incident (spontaneous glass breakage). then, my dad went to another mechanic and he worked on my window today, 12/19/14 and saw that the metal that is used on my window was slightly bent. this was a manufacturing defect and unsafe for me to drive but the nissan dealership is unable to help me. i don't feel that i can drive far any more because the metal is not fixed due to the manufacturing defect, i fear that it would happen again. it shouldn't be like that, especially since i bought a brand new car! *tr
