Driver airbag lights keep turning on and off on the dashboard. it turns on when i start my car or while i'm driving, and stays on. there are some days where it does not come on in the morning, and then it will come on in the afternoon. right now the light has been on for 2 days in a row.

Supplemental air bag warning light wont go off. was in motion on i 95

The airbag light remains on in the dash board and the passenger airbag light remains on even a passenger is seated in the car.

The red air bag warning light turns on displaying that the air bag is not engaged to deploy in the event of an accident. the air bag fuse is not worn. the seat belt buckle has already been replaced. all connections below the seats are connected. sensors have not been activated as there have been no accidents. the air bag warning light will either be on at the car's ignition, or it may turn on after two or more miles while driving.

One day i got in my car with my mother and it told me that the passager air bag was off but she was sitting in it. i had just turned it on and the day before that it was fine. also the one on my dash said that there was a air bag problem. it wasn't hit or touched it was truly over night infront of my house then the lights for the air bag were on when i started my car.

Airbag light is always on whether its in park or i'm driving it even when seatbelt is being used.

Air bag light stays lit when vehicle is turned on. mechanic says there is a problem with ocs sensors and airbag diagnostic unit.

Takata recall passenger air bag does not turn on when passenger is in car while the car is and is not in motion. car turned off while pulling out of driveway. mechanic confirmed i have a wiring issue somewhere when they tried to put new fog lights in and issue was not resolved.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan sentra. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v242000 (air bags). the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the vehicle was taken to acme nissan (2050 us-130, monmouth junction, nj, (732) 821-9300) where it was determined that the vehicle needed to be repaired before the recall repair could be completed; however, the contact declined. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 42,000.

Brakes failed to function when attempting to stop while going 35 mph on a dry, straight roadway. the pedal had some tension behind it but didn't feel right, kind of spongy and it went all the way to the floor. several pumps of the break did not result in significant braking so i spun the steering wheel to the right to try to avoid the car that was stopping, but could not clear it and my car has been totaled and i am in pain. airbags also failed to deploy, and i'd have thought a 35 mph crash should have been sufficient to trigger the inertia sensor.

First is was the a/c went out frist then the transmission problem when me my husband was headed to work one day the a eighteen wheeler almost ram into use because the stop in the middle of traffic and wouldn't go any where.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan sentra. while driving approximately 25 mph, the contact rear ended the preceding vehicle. the front passenger air bag failed to deploy. the contact sustained bruises to the chest and wrist, but did not require medical attention. a police report was not filed. the contact was able to drive the vehicle. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v242000 (air bags). the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 60,488.

The dash sensor light that indicates when the passenger airbag is deactivated often lights up while adult passengers are in the seat. typically it takes 15 minutes of driving to reset the light. this happens regularly.

Was a recall on passenger airbag sensor and i had that done but sometimes the light staying on when someone in the seat . and yes theyre over 100 lbs . i have taken pictures but the dealership will not look at them .

I received a postcard from nissan about the recall. i've called the dealership to make an appointment to be fixed but dealership informed me they have not received parts from nissan and will not receive until august. i am extremely upset due to a road trip i have to do soon with my son. i believe this is unacceptable and placing my passenger at risk due to the neglect on nissan's part. i hope this is fixed as soon as possible. i feel nissan should extend a rental to those who are traveling free of charge until they rectify this issue.

The ocs does not detect an adult occupant in the passenger seat, the passenger air bag is deactivated. failure of the passenger airbag to deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk injury or death to the passenger. this issue has been escalated to the elk grove nissan repair center multiple times. elk grove informed me they reset the programming of the sensor and uninstalled and installed the seat to try to resolve the issue. the issue continues to occur especially when the vehicle has been parked on a non level surface for a period of time.

I received a recall notification regarding the front passenger seat occupant classification system(ocs) software defect requiring reprogramming to detect a passenger in order to deploy the airbag in the event of an accident, and the child restraint system(crs), in particular the seat belt bracket deformity also in the front passenger seat requiring reinforcement. on 6/24/16 i took it to a local nissan dealer which informed me that they could not complete the recall because they did not have the required part, therefore it would have to be ordered. as a result my appointment has been set for 1 month later. i checked with another nissan dealer closer to where i work and they also confirmed that there was no eta on when the part would be available but would place me on a waiting list and contact me when it became available.

Nhtsa recall number: 16v-242 i went to my local nissan dealership (9010 liberia avenue manassas,va20110) on 6/22/2016 to have the recall done by appointment but they could not perform the service as they did not have the necessary part. i was instructed to await a new email appointment but despite multiple phone calls and emails, i can't seem to get anyone to respond. i went back physically today at 9.15am 11/2/2016 but again i was told the necessary parts are not available. i don't know if they want to wait till somebody actually dies to take care of the recall. do help.

Weston nissan volvo / to whom it may concern in december 2013, i bought a 2013 nissan sentra, from your dealer services weston nissan. so far, i received forever the services from your specialized department, maintenance required by your people in the same place where it was purchased. a few days ago, the vehicle presented a fault according to reports by the mechanic of weston nissan; corresponds to a failure of transmission. that person notified me that the transmission (powertrain) is damaged and have to be replaced at a cost of $ 4000. this transmission was damages because proper maintenance was not performed, as reported by the mechanic. now, as can this be possible? , if the car constantly carry to service according to the warranty and maintenance requirements upon miles. and in the service record, you can see that there is no service for this part. nissan should stand behind their transmission product, reputation and do what is right for all consumers who experience a traumatic and costly situation due to the poor quality and failed transmission. nissan decline to take any responsibility. also, i'm very disappointed because in that short time the car suffered air conditioning problems, replacement gas pump, air bag problems (many times) and more recently serious transmission problem. in my car's service record, there is no evidence of changing air filters and other important car's parts, which gives serious doubts about your service's quality. personally, replace the air filter was never changed. i think there is no reason, if there is been a properly service, to have all this issues with my car. best regards, nhtsa recall 14v-138

Recalls for the following: 1) takata recall; 2) mfg. recall #r1608 ; 3) nhtsa recall #16v-24; and 4) the occupant classification system(ocs) designed to classify the size/weight of front seat passenger, and under certain conditions, automatically turn off the passenger airbag. ocs system is designed ton only deploy front passenger airbag when the front passenger seat is occupied by an adult. the ocs software may incorrectly classify the passenger seat as empty when it's occupied. if child restraint system (crs) is installed in front passenger seat, the seat belt bracket could deform and airbag may not deactivate as designed. failure of passenger airbag to deploy during a crash could increase the risk of injury to passenger. if seat belt bracket deforms, this may increase risk of injury to child sitting in a crs installed in the front seat.

When the car sped sometimes begins to vibrate this does at startup until 15 miles and then the car works normally. it is as if in this situation start to happen. by putting the car in neutral does not have this problem.

Transmission doesn't shift smoothly. jerks at high or low speeds. rpms rev up past 5 which requires me to release the accelerator for vehicle to shift. as of jan 3 2019. air bags were fixed during recall. in 2016. however lights came on immediately and never went off. dealer continues to want me to pay for repairs.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan sentra. while driving various speeds, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle failed to accelerate. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. the failure persisted. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer for the acceleration failure and routine maintenance. the contact was informed of an air bag warning indicator recall. the dealer repaired the vehicle per the recall, but the remedy failed. the contact mentioned that the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated after the recall repair. the contact was unable to provide the recall information. the manufacturer was not notified of the failures. the failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

The passenger airbag light stays on, we've taken the car to nissan numerous times for repair all within warranty period and still hasn't been fixed. my most recent experience was with a regional consumer affairs agent named ivan who told me "we've washed our hands of it and won't help you anymore". a technician at don williamson nissan in jacksonville north carolina told my wife as she picked the car up the last time from the service center that the airbag won't deploy with an adult in the seat because something called the ocs was programmed wrong. i won't disclose his name since he was helpful in informing us of the issue. i asked an agent on the phone just seconds ago if im suppose to wait until we have an accident and someone gets injured before they do anything about this and she replied, " i guess".

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan sentra. while driving 50-65 mph, the steering column separated from the vehicle and the air bags disengaged independently. in addition, the vehicle started and the doors locked independently, the vehicle stalled, and the air bags disengaged independently. prior to the additional failures, the vehicle was remedied under nissan's cvt consumer satisfaction program recall. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the spiral cable fractured and the transmission was defective and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified. the failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

I recently took my 2013 nissan sentra to the dealership for a recall update where the vehicle didn't recognize the passenger seat was occupied by an adult and as a result the passenger airbag was turned off. well, even after the system update i keep having the same problem. the system still doesn't recognize when my mom (150 pounds) is a passenger and even less when my 120 pound sister is with me. this is frustrating and scary because soon my daughter will reach the age where she would be able to ride on the passenger seat. i feel like after investing a considerable amount of money on such an essential asset the least i can do is expect for it to be safe for my family and myself.

Owner was in a crash on a city road traveling about 30 mph where she t boned another car. neither of the airbags deployed.

I hit a metal barrier at 75 mph on the highway not one airbag deployed. i have had 2 surgeries significant brain damage and memory loss. nissan won't even acknowledge there was a problem. also transmission blew at less than 36000 miles mostly highway

Passenger side air bag light comes on when an adult is in the seat. i had it checked at dealer and no problem found. they state it is normal. *tr

Air bag light turn on even though it was occupied. it is not functioning the right way. 4 or 5 months ago i received a letter by mail in regards a recall on vehicle. i took it to the nearest nissan dealership for an inspection and a computer reset. everything was going fine until 8/14 on a friday night we were going to a family reunion. my husband was driving as i was on the passenger seat. we noticed the air bag light turn on again. i would like to know what will be the next step to take? should i take it back to the dealership? *tr

'pass air bag off' although at that time co-passenger was sitting in the passenger seat. its coming frequently. but not all the time. *tr

I have gotten 6 recalls for my car when i bought it 3 months ago from crowly kia in bristol ct. 5 of the recalls are for airbags and 1 of them is for the electrical and they all popped up on my credit karma account all in red, so i'm taking that as they need to be fixed and i have called nissan and they are saying that non of them are showing up in their data base but why do i have them on credit karma all in red? i have them all printed up with the campaign number and recall id number and credit karma is telling me that they need to be fix which is why they are in red and not green. so can someone please call me and explain this to me and i can tell there is something wrong with the electrical system which is one of my recalls. my number is (860)776-8239

Passenger airbag sensor does not detect passenger, airbag light would sporadically come on during a trip indicating the passenger airbag has been deactivated. vehicle was taken to nissan dealer for recall work to be performed for the same issue. the same issue arose again within a couple of weeks and i took the car back to nissan to check the problem. the service representative told me that it may be that i or my passenger may not weigh enough for the vehicle to detect us in the seat or it could be the way the passenger sat. i explained to them that when the incident occurs, we confirm passenger is seated properly and our weight was not a problem when we have been seated as passengers in other similarly equipped vehicles i have driven or ridden in. after persisting they do something about this safety issue, they went ahead and told me they replaced a sensor in the seat. a couple of weeks after that i am still having the same problem with the passenger airbag deactivating at random times while the passenger seat is occupied. i have gone back to nissan and they keep telling me they can find nothing wrong every time. i am very concerned as this presents a serious safety risk that may cause the vehicle to malfunction in the event of a collision. *tr

The sentra has a light on the dashboard that alerts the driver if the passenger airbag is disabled. this light on my sentra will sometimes come on even though a 150 pound person is sitting in the passenger seat. initially i was able to get the light to turn off by braking fast. a few nights ago, i could not get the light to turn off for a 20 minute drive even though a 150 pound person is sitting in the seat. per nissan, the air bag is providing no codes for this issue and unless i can recreate it there is nothing they can do. i have contacted nissan customer service and was told to video tape the light, go to a different dealer who can then read the codes of which there are not any or to trade in the vehicle. i am concerned that the air bag will not properly deploy in a front end collision. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan sentra. the contact stated that when an adult occupant that weighed less than 100 lbs was seated in the front passenger seat, the air bag warning light remained illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that there was a loose harness. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 10,150.
