We took the vehicle into vavoline and they told us that the car's transmission pan is almost rusted out and we have a 4 major leaks under our vehicle so bad that the block under the vehicle and the front axel is wet from the fluid leaks. we bought the car two days ago and brought it back to return it today because we were not told about any of these issues and they told us we were not going to get our money back. even though it would not pass a state emissions test with all those leaks and she not have been sold to us.
I have a 2008 nissan rogue. have had it less than a year. 3 days ago, without warning, the transmission started shaking and jerking when i was taking off from a red light on the way to take my daughter to school. pulled off the highway and sat a couple mins, since i wasnt sure what was happening. as i tried to pull back onto the highway the rogue wouldnt go. had to have it towed back home. had a technician put my vehicle on a computer. the transmission is out of it.
Sitting in heavy traffic on the interstate, traffic was moving very slow (stop and go) as i depressed the gas pedal the car began to shudder and jolt. i released the gas pedal and tried again and received the same result. once i was able to accelerate more i was able to continue. i then took my vehicle to my mechanic where he explained my transmission was going to stop working and i will need a new transmission. he had a machine that was hooked up to my vehicle showing the cvt code. i did not think to ask for a copy of the read out.
Bought this car for our 16 year old daughter to drive. it has 16,000 miles on it. it has started shuttering and lurching upon acceleration. at one point she was driving it on a busy four lane highway and it started lurching and the car died in the middle of the highway. luckily she was able to move to the shoulder. this is a major safety issue. we took the car to the dealership and they updated the software. my husband went to pick it up and it did it as he was leaving the dealership. he immediately turned around and left the vehicle again. they are saying that it may be the belt inside the transmission.

Automatic cvt transmission has been slipping and unable to shift to 3rd and 4th gear. i have to place it into "n" when moving then shift to "d" then it would move but still slips when driving only in 20 to 30 miles per hour.

Car started making slight whirring noise when accelerating. took it in to be looked at and they couldn't find an issue. went another week and the noise got worse and starting skipping and losing power when i tried to accelerate after it's been sitting for a few hours, mostly just in first gear. almost got in an accident pulling into traffic and lost complete power for a few seconds, was lucky enough to get into a turn lane before i got hit by oncoming traffic. took it to another mechanic and determined it was transmission and needs to be replaced. they're telling me my car could turn into a giant paperweight at any moment.
