The heater went out on my rogue on a very cold morning. it would only blow cold air. this was problematic because of the safety issue in defrosting my windows. i have to drive for work every morning. this greatly concerns mean for the safety of my wife and 3 months daughter. according to research online, this is common problem, but no safety recall has occurred yet. one website states that, nissan released several technical service bulletins for improper heating/ventilation performance, including incorrect temperature output and/or air delivery location for nissan rogues from 2015-17 the most recent ' #ntb17-028 and ntb15-045e, ' indicates certain vehicles equipped with the manual hvac system might benefit from replacement of the 'front air control unit.'
I recently purchased a 2016 nissan rogue s awd with about 30,034 miles on it. the next day after driving about 75 miles it started jerking and stalling in traffic, and having issues going from park to drive and drive to reverse. on the day after, which is today the vehicle would not shift from park to drive and instead of driving forward while in drive, the vehicle started to roll backwards on our side walk with my 6 year old son and i inside. my fianc and i attempted to get the vehicle to shift gears and we were not successful. it seems as if the cvt transmission failed. i immediately contacted the dealership and they came to pick it up via tow.
-car has 56,000 miles -a few times over the past few months, it hesitates when accelerating from a full stop -yesterday, it happened a lot, and several times i even pushed the accelerator to the floor, and nothing happened...then it suddenly revved and
Driving the vehicle, the hood of the nissan rogue is latched but the actual hood will move (flap) when driving over 45-50 mph. this started the same day the vehicle was purchased but was not able to get it in because of wait time at the location. i have went to the place where the car was purchased at carmax, but they said it was a problem that nissan informed them about and there was nothing that can be done. nissan told them that there were many other vehicles that have the same defect because of the way the car was made and the only solution was to tighten the hood to a certain extent according to carmax. after leaving the location and 3 days later the hood of my car is flapping and moving even more than before, i feel like this will evetually lead to another problem because you can actually see the hood moving while driving and the person at the carmax location was aware of how much it was moving during a test drive. i have tried to look up information about the vehicle because i was told it was an ongoing problem, but as of now i have not found anything related to the problem i am having. i do not believe it is safe to drive the vehicle in that state because it could get worse and eventually because of the speed of the highway i drive on (70mph us 1 nc) it could possible affect the latch or something else.
Sunroof tempered glass exploded while at a stop light, nothing above me but blue skies. this appears to be a defect of some kind.
Windshield wipers scrape against the hood of the car when lifted for cleaning/replacing. this damaged the paint.
The car has idling issues and issues with hard vibrations in the front area of the vehicle. the rpm's were adjusted but this did not fix the issue and i was told it is the way the motor sits even though it was not having this issue when i first purchased the vehicle in march of 2018. it does not matter if the vehicle is stationary or moving or if i am turning or where i am driving. this issue persists.
Car only has 63,000 miles on it and the exhaust manifold and sensor in my car went out and my car was properly maintenance like it suppose too. but before then a sensor went out on my car , i never heard of a manifold going out early on any vehicle from any maker not this early and i felt when i bought this car it was already defected. in good faith, i would think the dealer would have check it out before i bought it, apparently not. i bought this car on november 11 and now i'm experiencing problems !
The evaporator temperature sensor is defected. in 90 degree heat after driving 2.5 miles in the heat airconditioner stops working. to fix it part number is 2773-4buoa. nissan refuses to replace part cause computer cannot duplicate problem.
Our 2016 nissan rogue was stopped at an intersection at 6:30 a.m. on a city roadway when we heard a loud popping noise and the sound of breaking glass. we opened the cover to the sun roof and the smaller sun roof above the driver and front passenger seats was shattered, but the glass remained intact. we checked the surrounding area and could not find any object that could have struck the vehicle, or people. as seen in the photos, the glass was broken outwards from the car. the weather was clear, and visibility was good.
On the morning of 6/11/2018, while driving on the freeway, i heard a loud 'gun shot' sound. inspection of my car on the side of the road showed no damage. driving home from work that night, about 70mph, all of a sudden i heard noise overhead. looking out my rearview mirror revealed that my sunroof had just shattered and all the cars behind me were being hit with the shards of glass.
When shutting the front passenger door the sunroof exploded. nissan would not cover it under warranty because they said the sunroof must have previously been damaged. it is on top of the car, nearly impossible to be damaged by any debris from road since it would either hit the windshield or fly over the vehicle, so how was it damaged? not too happy with nissan since my research led to a website that stated the rogue was in the top 10 for vehicles with most randomly exploding sunroofs.
2016 nissan rogue 2 years old, and transmission slipped already. i have quite a few miles, but spoke to multiple repair men who have said the rogue is known for that and i bought a lemon car. when i drive and press pedal the car has no power and rpm keeps going up/ down also you can hear a whining in the car .
I see 5 recalls for my car but i get letter from the manufacturer for 2 recall but i do not know what is other three. after i get the letter i went to the dealer and the fixed the air bags. as soon as i drive the car 10 miles, the same thing happen again passenger site air bag sign always show up. 2016 car not cooling properly only the fan running in the car when i turn on a/c.
The hood vibrates uncontrollably when traveling at higher speeds. it is worse when behind trucks. i would think the older it gets that one day the hood will move more and the safety will give way allowing the hood to open
As i was driving on the highway, i heard a loud pop, like a gunshot and suddenly the glass from my sunroof was falling on me. i had a hole in the sunroof and the glass was falling on me while driving. nothing hit my car, it just exploded randomly- i had no idea what happened. i called 911, police came, and later had the sunroof replaced
Nissan's intelligent key system automatically locks the car when a door is shut, even though the key is inside. we have had this happens two times this week. maybe the latest version of their car software? we just got that updated. my wife unlocks all doors, opens passenger car door, puts purse with smart key in passenger seat, shuts door, opens rear passenger seat door, puts son in car seat, shut door and boom, car locks itself. two times. fire department had to come.
On 8/28/2017, i was driving on california rt. 395 south while the rental car i was in, nissan rogue 2016, went off highway into the desert on a speed 65mph. i ended up injured, with broken vertebra, and currently on long term disability. i was the only person in a car; was taken to barstow community hospital by ambulance. as i examine this accident in my memory, i cannot recall any mistakes in driving on my part . all of a sudden, i could not steer, so car went off highway. the owner of the car is enterprise rental; the car was totaled. since then, i was contacted by elco who contacted nissan, and nissan provided an inspection, finding no problems (see attached; i was not present.) i also have a repair estimate from mohave body (attached). please note the following: 1. police report is partially incorrect. there are too many inconsistencies, including the name of the person found responsible, and the make of his car. police report cannot be attached due to the size limitation; you can pull it out using accident report card (attached.) to my knowledge, there were no direct witnesses, someone saw it from far away. i have photos of the damage that i can provide. 2. this car was a replacement for the national rental car that had some problems, so i had to exchange it per national car roadside assistance request.the nissan car had faulty front passenger tire pressure sensor that the rental office was not aware of, and when i pointed it out, claimed that it is safe and many nissan vehicles have this problem. it was indicating low pressure while in fact the pressure was too high, over 40psi. i checked and adjusted tire pressure in discount tire in carson city, nv; the fault message did not go away. i maintain that the rental agency did not perform technical inspection of the car as they had to, and there could be some other hidden problems besides tire pressure sensor.*dt
We have had 2 parking lot fender benders within 3 months due to the fact that nissan's rear view monitoring system's use of a backup camera is so complicated to use and its blind spot monitoring does not function under 20 miles per hour speed that i don't think they should have been approved as a feature on this car. additionally, the interior back seat headrests block all windows that would normally be used for visual searching. as a buyer, i was not warned that the system has a very minimal use. it took two accidents before i found its limitations buried in the manual. the system is very dangerous since marketing implies that it protects from backing up when it does not. in the manual small print it lists so nine times when it will not work. compared to other cars such as lexus, this nissan 'safety' feature is actually a danger to any driver.
I just came off the highway where i almost got killed by a big, long white trailer truck because my vehicle failed to stop at a red light, the brake did not budge, it happened so fast, it feels like the brake was stuck, so i got out of the intersection and steered my way to safety only there was no where for me to safely stop because the ramp took me to i95 s which is very busy. i took the car home safely and parked it. my point is i have been complaining to the dealership about this same issue and nobody is listening. there is something wrong with this vehicle, i have been complaining since i had 66 miles on it. please advise me what to do.
I recently bought rogue in december of 2016 & within a month or so i started feeling vibrations. i took it to dealer & they said the wheel balance was off they fixed it but the vibrations were still there. i can feel the vibrations during ride when on 25mph, 40mph & above, also during idling alot of vibrations and even braking causes vibrations, i complained to dealer they checked it & it was still vibrating & they said they cant do anything because rogues are made this way. i then complained to nissan north america & asked to buy back this vehicle since i dont feel i should keep driving a defective car they also denied my case. i dont know what to do now, i have a new born baby & its very hard to keep up with this, the reason i bought a new car was to not get involved in car problems but i have been in peril since i purchased this vehicle. can you please assist me with how i am going to deal with this issue.
My nissan rogue tail gate and window are leaking and my car now is soured, mildewed, and smells like something has died. i need this to be fixed please, it is starting to make me sick when i have to go anywhere. it seems to get worse day by day and it doesn't matter if it is moving or sitting still. from what i can tell it has been happening since i first bought it, nov. 2016, but it has been constantly raining so it hasn't had the chance to dry. i believe this is why it is just now starting to smell so bad. please help with this issue.
When turning the vehicle while parking it makes a clicking noise. the noise can also be felt in the steering wheel. it started 2 weeks after we purchased it. it's similar to a broken cv joint noise. this is a brand new vehicle and the dealer stated "we don't know how to repair it, but it's save to drive." if one doesn't know what it is, how can they say it's safe to drive? i've contacted nissan's consumer complaint line and they're sticking with the same narrative.
I have less than 1700 miles on my 2016 nissan rogue and am experiencing a noise when turning steering wheel to the right. took it to the dealer where i received multiple different stories but ultimately it is an identified problem that they are working on at the factory level. new parts need to be manufactured at the factory level however there is no time line to when they will have a solution to the problem. they think it is associated with a bolt on the strut.
The nissan rogue has a vibration on the left side. can be felt when holding the steering wheel. brought this to the attention at the dealership 3 times more than a year ago. last time they said there will be a recall on this issue as my vehicle is affected. after checking w/dealership a few more times, there is still no news of getting this resolved. this happens while i'm driving and it makes me nauseous.
I bought my nissan rogue june 25, 2016 and two weeks after purchase it began to make a clicking noise at the front driver side wheel or steering wheel. i have taken it to the dealership where i purchased it but they cannot tell me what is wrong and they have stated that its a known problem with nissan north america and that i will have to wait until nissan north america gives them direction on how to fix it. i have contacted consumer's affairs and nissan north america and am awaiting a call back from them as well. every time i turn left or right there is a clicking noise which can be heard from the back and passenger side. the vehicle only had 800 miles on it when the noise started.
When the car is on and i turn on the air conditioner, the interior makes me very sick. something about the cars interior makes me very sick. causes headaches, eye problems, swollen throat and makes me dizzy. i have been to my doctor and there is no other cause they can find for my illness. nissan has checked out the car, but found nothing wrong. but i continue to get sick every time i drive the car.
I had no reason to think that a new car only two weeks old would strand me by the road. i had no reason to believe that unlike any other car i ever had, i could put diesel in it by error. nissan's customer service is just as bad as dealing with this problem. no markings to prevent it on car or pump and the nozzle fit
Fuel efficiency marketing scam, i bought a nissan rogue 2016 two years ago. the decision was upon its marketing in extraordinary fuel efficiency the nissan company has made, for local 29/highway32. after few months driving experience and told by the dealer agent, i need to drive my car 5k-10k miles then the engine will provided that fuel efficiency. but after two years driven 27k miles simply nothing changed, my car only gets 16/27 for local and highway and average out 17-18 miles per gallon. i was so upset myself have made that such mistakenly leaded decision on buying this fake marketing vehicle and not save my gas money also polluting the environment. as every time i have confronted with the dealers techinician and agent on this issue, they simply said excuses and not do anything. as a result, i hope my issue will be taking care by and suggest all future buyer not to buy any nissan vehicles because they lie to consumers and they are not environmental friendly on fuel efficiency !!
