Recently reported ENGINE problems on 2015 Nissan Rogue

Driving on interstate at approx.70 mph, and cruise control kicked off by itself at least 3 times. then all of a sudden i lost power, it was not like a out of gas loss, it just slowed down. i had the gas pedal floored to maintain speed as i was traveling at 70mph in heavy traffic on interstate. i moved to the outside lane to avoid any chance of an accident and took the next exit to turn around and go back home. when i got onto the entrance ramp back to the interstate, it took me about 1/2 mile at least to get up to speed again. since i got back home everything appears normal but i am afraid to travel any distance in case i should loose power again i have had the vehicle put on the computer monitor and they say nothing is showing as wrong. during this exam i was told that if the engine warning light never came on the computer check would not show anything. at no time during the power outage did the engine warning light or any warning device show up.

Yesterday i came from birmingham and i was going 70 mph my suv is whinnying i couldn't go pass 70 i floored it still nothing speed i had to spot on the side of the road to start driving to pick up speed i'm at 113,000

The transmission died at 110,896 miles

I am driving and i come to the red light and my temperature gage went to hot,it was not a safe place to stop so drove it0.7 and called a tow...they said it was my radiator and i paid over 500 for that, less than a month later my check engine light came on by shults in olean so i took it in and they said it was the head gasket, take it to nissan jamestown, so i had it towed,,they said it was covered but today they said it isn't

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 nissan rogue. while driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning and was unable to be restarted. once restarted, the vehicle was shifted into reverse and the vehicle stalled again. additionally, while the vehicle was idling at traffic lights, the rpms would idle at a low rate with the vehicle almost at the point of stalling. the vehicle also hesitated when accelerating from a stop. the vehicle was towed to nissan of stockton (located at 3077 e hammer ln, stockton, ca 95212, (209) 956-6500) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact stated that the failure occurred six times daily. the manufacturer was contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 27,000.

Traveling to arizona over the mountain hill, all of a sudden car loss power. my rpm stays below 3 with gas pedal all the down the floor and my engine light turned on. pulled over and sat 30 minutes. was able to drive the car to the nearest shop and pulled the engine light code to p0744.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 nissan rogue. while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled and was able to restart. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to thoroughbred nissan (5163 e 22nd st, tucson, az 85711, (520) 618-6500) where it was diagnosed that a software update was needed. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 107,000. the vin was unknown.

Vehicle sputters then stalls, chassis control light comes on. vehicle will restart and immediately stall again. extreme safety hazard as this occurs with no warning and for no apparent reason. this has happened on multiple occasions, today it happened on the freeeay in a snow storm and i was unable to get to the side of the road due to speeds. replaced maf sensor with no luck. seems to be a very common safety issue not being addressed by nissan.

Bought car from win motors today; took to mechanic next door..said it was okay; when asked for receipt for testing mechanic said he did not do that. car drove fine until i got home and when i moved from street into driveway, i heard grinding noise on brakes , but more importantly, when shifting gears a loud sound of straining; paid cash for used car. really hope i can resolve with 2 day return.

I purchased a 2015 nissan rogue about a year ago and i had no problems up until a month ago. i experienced the transmission jerking, shaking and shuddering during normal operation. i would lose acceleration upon completing a stop signal or at the change of a green light. i also noticed fluids leaking. upon taking it to the nissan dealership, i was told it needed a cvt body replacement. because nissan extended their warranty on some of their vehicles with cvt transmissions, my vehicle qualified between the year/mileage given. however, nissan chose not to fix it, that it was not one of the vehicles specified. then why am i having these same issues as the other vehicles? my vehicle was purchase a little over a year and has 72k miles. i've never had any problems with this vehicle other than now with it's poor performance, shaking and no power acceleration. i fear for my life every day when i drive my vehicle. i should not have to feel this way but rather safe knowing i am driving a reliable, safe vehicle.

Many complaints. first when car is stationary and engine first starts i hear loud banging or clattering noise. seems worse when ac is on and goes away in a few mins. also when at a light or stop sign looks like car is going to stall which can be very dangerous. both issues started at the same time so may be related. also antenna for radio nut working was told by mechanic msmufacturer issue. read on line many peop,e expressing frustration either nissan on same issues. will go toyota for next car.

My nissan rogue is 2 years old with 31,500 miles. i was accelerating onto the highway on rt 2, near exit 59 in massachusetts on tuesday 3/20, and the engine in the car turned off while accelerating, going about 55 mph. i was able to pull over to the shoulder safely. i tried multiple times to restart the car, but the engine was completely dead. i had the car towed to marlboro nissan, where i purchased the car. they confirmed that the car still would not start when it arrived at the dealership. the next day, it started and they could not replicate the issue. they want me to take the car home with no explanation and no fix. i feel completely unsafe getting back behind the wheel of a car where an engine just turns off for no reason. i am told by nissan corporate consumer affairs that they will not be able to help if they can't replicate the issue a second time. this is dangerous, and i am at a loss with what to do next. getting back in that car on a highway puts not only myself, but other drivers around me at risk for a fatal accident.

The heater does not work on the coldest days. driver is unable to adequately defrost windshield and maintain a reasonable temperature in the cabin.

I was driving in snowy conditions and vehicle began baulking as if it was going to stall. a chassis system control warning displayed on th dash. i contacted the dealership and they advised it was due to the slippery road conditions. they advised to turn the vehicle off and back on and the warning would disappear/reset. i did this and the warning was removed however, brief moments of random "baulking" continued. a few days later i was travelling on a multi lane highway in a snow storm. the vehicle began to severely "baulk" and then the vehicle stalled completely. i was traveling very slowly due to the road conditions and the stall was so sudden, there was not enough momentum to get pulled over to the side of the road. i tried to restart the vehicle. it would start for 2-3 seconds and stall again. i was stranded, with my children, partially in a live lane of traffic, on a busy highway, in a snow storm. i kept trying to restart the vehicle and after approximately 20min it started again. i was able to drive about 5 -10km before the vehicle stalled again. i wanted to report this issue as i found a recall for 2014 and older nissan rogue for the same issue that was identified as a fuel pump issue. nissan reported the issue had been corrected formrogue's manufactured after june 2014. my vehicle was manufactured feb 2015. this is not only a recall issue, it is a serious occupant safety concern.

When the temperature is over 90 degrees and the car has been running for at least 10 minutes the car has acceleration issues. when at a full standstill such as at a stoplight the car will not accelerate quickly and respond to pedal pressure. when the pedal is floored and trying to start again it has a long delay like the transmission is in a high gear or is overheated. i know there have been many issues online about the cvt of the rogue. this only seems to happen when it is hot out. there are also issues when going up an incline in hot temperature the car does not respond to pedal pressure and acceleration. this is a safety issue in that when trying to turn left at a light i expect my car to go and not stutter and there have been many close calls to being broadsided.

I was driving south on military trail preparing to turn right at pipers glen. the light was green and there was a white car in the middle lane waiting to enter military. i slowed down to make my turn and suddenly my car accelerated. if i continued to turn there was no doubt i would have hit the waiting car. i proceeded straight, passed this car and drove onto a grassy area. my front wheel hit the curb which slowed my car but pushed me along the side of the white car causing damage to both cars. the fire trucks came and a police car. since no one was hurt i was instructed to leave my car there to be towed . my son picked me up and i called the towing co. about 1 hour later i was called and told the tow was on the way. when we arrived to where my car was i was surprised to see the front lights on. there was a motor noise and the hood was hot . whenwe left the car there it was locked and the motor was not on. if this were not the case i would not have been able to lock this car having a keyless entry. i am concerned about ever driving this car with less than 10,000 miles. i called both nissan and the repair company and reported what happened. they told me they would scan the car but sometimes nothing shows up. i use military trail almost every day and pipers glen leads to my home. i am happy that no one was hurt but haunted by realizing what may have happened if i attemped to make that right turn.both these roads are city streets.i have no picturesexcept for my memory.

The car has a keyless operation. after service an reprogramming for a cvt issue, the engine failed to start after sitting in the garage overnight. in order to start, the brake must be engaged before pushing the start button. this did not work and the start engine light did not come on. pushing the start button resulted in clicking noise but the solenoid (if this car has one) did not engage. after trying several times and turning lights on and off, the car starts. i am concerned that the ignition would disengage while driving. once the vehicle started, it did not shut off until i turned it off; but i haven't tested driving it. the car never did this until the computer reprogramming done this past thursday february 24th when i had the car service before leaving on a trip.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 nissan rogue. while driving 45 mph, the vehicle was involved in a crash and the entire front driver's side was damaged. the contact was injured and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. a police report was filed. the vehicle was towed to the contact's home and then towed billy navarre nissan (1700 siebarth dr, lake charles, la 70615, (337) 439-9955) where it was repaired three months later. since the crash, the vehicle had been back to the dealer at least ten times. the tcm in the engine, an etrc sensor in the engine, the belt pulley, the transmission, the body control module, and the tpmf were replaced. all of the failures originated from the engine. the continuously variable transmission was replaced and recalibrated, there was a loose pin in the power relay box, and two sensors had to be changed, including the 02 sensor. in addition, the gears did not shift fluidly and the transbody sensor needed to be changed. the most recent failure was the vehicle sputtering and the transmission straining to change gears. by the time the contact pulled into her neighborhood, the vehicle had no acceleration and the check engine indicator illuminated. the contact planned to have the vehicle towed back to the dealer. the contact believed the vehicle was not in driving condition since the crash. the failure mileage was 49,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 nissan rogue. while driving various speeds or upon starting the vehicle, the chassis control module, check engine, and traction control warning indicators illuminated. also, the "see owner's manual" message was displayed on the instrument panel. the vehicle was taken to nissan of picayune (239 frontage rd, picayune, ms 39466 (601) 889-5454) where it was diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred three days later. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the ecm needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired a second time, but the next day, the warning indicators and message reappeared. the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer a third time and was informed that the wiring harness between the throttle body and ecm needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired because the dealer could not guarantee that the failure would not recur. a few months later, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who could not diagnose a failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

I was driving up hill and pressed the brakes to turn right, and the brakes didn't came up, the car came to halt and then started rolling back wards. now i tried to put the brakes but its stucked, i pressed the accelerator it didn't responded. soon withing 4-5 sec the car picks up speed, i changed the mode to parking, nothing happened. it rolled down and fell into a ditch. nothing seriously damaged. but i am scared to drive that car again. when the car was pulled from the ditch the brakes were still on. i pointed that out to the police. this is a new car just 2 months old. didn't expect that from nissan

Teering wheel vibrates at speeds 25-55 mph. most of the vibration will stop if i drive in the sport mode. have back to dealer three times, but no luck. they said other 2015 rogue show the same problem, there is no tbs issued yet, so they basically don't know how to fix it. two different dealers felt the vibrations. you can almost hear a like a harmonic noise when this happens. i have contacted nissan and am waiting for a resolution or something. i asked nissan to find a rogue that doesn't vibrate or get out of my lease with my money back.

Vehicle stalls everyday ever since we first purchased the car in februar 2015. it stalls while at a stop light and while driving without any warning. the engine warning signal comes on after the stall. i brought my car to 2 different service locations (puente hills nissan and imperio nissan in irvine) but failed to detect the problem. this is very stressful situation where the technicians are not able to detect the issue. i searched and found that there's been a nationwide recall on 2014 rogue on the same issue (see below): news: nissan is recalling certain 2014 nissan rogue vehicles; fuel system, gasoline report receipt date: apr 03, 2015 nhtsa campaign number: 15v197000 component(s): fuel system, gasoline potential number of units affected: 76,242 april 2015 -- nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2014 nissan rogue vehicles manufactured june 11, 2013, to june 7, 2014. improper nickel plating of components within the fuel pump may result in the fuel pump failing. if the fuel pump fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash. nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. the recall is expected to begin in april 2015. owners may also contact the national highway traffic safety administration vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (tty 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov

While driving on the highway the engine shut down, requiring me to pull off the road immediately. vehicle was towed to a nissan dealer where it was determined the engine seized due to a "factory defect" requiring it to be rebuilt. *js

The car revs up to 5 rpms at 60mph like its stuck in neutral. need to take the foot off the gas get down to 50mph and was able to get it back up to 65mph. i did this in rush hour traffic. i was afraid the person behind was going to hit to change speeds so fast. nissan looked at the car today and said there wasn't an issue and i needed to do that to let the transmission catch up. never heard of such a thing. my last nissan at 98k died because of the transmission. before it died it was doing the same thing. *tr
