We last used the car at 2:30pm and parked it in our driveway. it was stationary and unused for about 4.5 hours. at about 7pm we heard the horn go off. it was a steady blowing of the horn. i opened the front door, realized it was our car, and grabbed my keys to start the car to see if that would make the horn stop. when i opened the drivers door of the car i saw the orange flames and thick black smoke. i ran into the house, had my wife call 911 and i grabbed the house fire extinguisher. the fire started on the drivers side of the car either right below the steering wheel or on the left sidewall where the driver's left leg would rest. i did my best putting out the flames from the drivers side but had to go to the riders side to put out the left panel by the drivers legs. the fire was probably 95% put out when the fire department and police department showed. because the front hood release latch was severely damaged by the fire the fire department had to force the hood open to check for fire ...
Vehicle was in motion, on a country rd. there was a smell, almost like if windshield washer fluid spills, then smoke from under the hood. then flames on the right front, under the hood. i pulled over, turned the car off, grabbed my purse and ran. 2 good samaritans pulled over and just happened to have a fire extinguisher and were able to put it out. the whole right headlight was melted away.

This is my 2nd rogue 2019, first was purchase in april of 2019, had issue and nissan took it back after i bought my current rogue 2019 in august. lost money on it but i want it a vehicle for my safety and my family. make my story short on 12/07/2019 warning light came on, aeb malfunction , mind you my warning is off at all time ! so much for safe vehicle! after reading that 2017-18 have this issues i'm not so sure about my safety driving it. until it s going to take someone's life on the road ( i'm driving highway everyday) nissan going to ignore this matter! the malfunction light came on when i was merging into highway traffic. never went away, i pull over turned off engine, then on and light came on again.
I reported a fire complaint back in the summer to you on this vehicle. now my accelerator just suddenly quits working. i reported this to downtown nashville nissan around june 2019. they said no code came up. it has since been happening more and more. twice when i was trying to get on the interstate. two weeks ago it happened five times in a row and wouldn't go over 30 mph. when i would let completely off the accelerator and push it again it jumps like all of the energy busts through at once. i have since done research and this is a very common problem. my vehicle still only has less than 59,000 miles on it. this is a very serious safety issue. i am sure people have had to have died because of it but since they are dead they can't report it. i have multiple sclerosis and it makes the safety issue even worse. i can't walk very far if i get stranded. if i don't get rear ended on the interstate before that happens. nissan is very aware of this. even rogues with 8,000 miles are doing this. it isn't a matter ...
I was made aware that there was a recall issued back on february 25, 2015. recall id: 228072 campain #: 15v032000. i was never notified of this recall concerning my vehicle. over the past few months, i've noticed moisture on the floor boards in the front of my vehicle. i purchased this vehicle used back in december of 2015.
