My horn or cruise control in steering wheel no longer works. airbags light blinks one lond time and the 2 short times repeatedly.
Deployed under dash airbag broke right knee tibia bone. vehicle was stationary preparing to turn left on the intersection when the vehicle going in opposite direction collided with with stationary murano. no damages due to an accident but improper design of the under dash airbag with projection for up to 6 month recovery. in us vehicles legs are position differently since pedals on the different levels and right led is almost stretched hence airbag shall accommodate for it.*dt*jb
I took my 2010 nissan murano le awd to maus nissan of new port richey, fl because the passenger side airbag warning light was flashing. this well maintained, garage kept vehicle with 74500 miles, 95% of service/maintenance done by nissan, was in pristine condition, single driver,no accidents, and rarely even a passenger. when i returned 3 days later, i was told the light was still flashing even though they replaced the "k88201aaoe sensor side airbag center". i was billed $1840.81 for this repair that did not fix the problem. i was then told the diagnostics said they needed to replace the "seat occupant sensor" for an additional $4210.81 because the part was integrated into the front passenger seat so the whole front passenger seat had to be replaced! i was then advised to call nissan's corporate customer care at 1 800 nissan1. my maus service consultant said she had seen customers with "130000 miles and a blown transmission" and customer care had covered the repair. she also said that they would likely reimburse my $1840.81 since the repair did not resolve the issue. i called customer care and detailed my situation. a week ...
Air bag warning light started flashing and does not go off. dealer (lancaster nissan) tested the vehicle and stated that sensor or seat sensor could be bad. they were able to turn off warning light, but it started again the next time i drove the car. estimates to replace sensor ($1,500) and seat sensor ($4,500) seem extremely high. vehicle has only 39,000 miles and was purchased new. dealer stated there is no open recall despite research showing 100's of 2009 muranos with the same issue and a prior recall on earlier muranos and infiniti's - clearly the same manufacturing defect. have not taken an action to repair at this point,
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan murano. the contact stated that the driver's air bag warning indicator remained illuminated. the contact took the vehicle to an unknown nissan dealer where it was diagnosed that the air bag sensor and the fuel sensor needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was 177,771.
Airbag warning light suddenly stayed on flashing. there has never been any accident. low miles and rarely a passenger in the car. nissan dealer checked and determined it was the passenger sensor. they replaced the sensor and light remained. they then said they had to replace the entire passenger seat bottom to fix the issue. ~$3,700 later and it is fixed.
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. the contact stated that the air bag warning indicator on the passenger side illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer modern nissan of winston salem, 5795 university pkwy, winston-salem, nc, 27105, they determined that the sensor on the passenger side seat had to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 117,488.
Local nissan dealership is putting up barriers to my recall repair. on 2 different occasions, i was told that 'we don't do recall repairs on the weekend'. i don't understand why their labor costs on the weekend are my problem. i called on a monday morning when i was on vacation from work. not only could the service manager not confirm for me whether they had the necessary parts on hand to repair my recall...she also said they only do it by appointment and need 1 weeks notice!! so i am being expected to bring my car in twice (once for them to 'look at it and confirm i'm on the recall list, and a 2nd time to get the repair done). how is it that the manufacturer makes a defective product, yet i am expected to jump through all these hoops, take time off of work (vacation time) to meet all of their terms of fixing a mistake that nissan made. but hey, they were sure to get those notices mailed out super fast, to give me the impression they cared about my spouses life/death risk every day when she drives a flawed product to/from work. so unaccommodating and ...
Airbag light came on and want reset, airbag has never deployed in my possession, i received info that there is a recall on said model. request more info.
