Problems with 2009 Nissan Murano SERVICE BRAKES

On average, the 2009 Nissan Murano starts to “feel” problems with the SERVICE BRAKES and its various aspects after 91 159 miles.

Recently reported SERVICE BRAKES problems on 2009 Nissan Murano

My 2009 nissan murano has a brake problem that is a safety issue. the break pedal will go to the floor and not stop. if you pump the brakes, the brakes will start working.this has happened several times. the first time it happened i took it to the dealer and they said they could not find any thing wrong. i was advised by them to continue to drive it. the next time it happened i was able to get it to the dealer and this time it happened with one of the service personal. this was documented in the report. it was checked out and nothing could not be found. i am concerned that it might not stop in a panic stop and result in an accident with injury or death. every time it happens the car was moving on a smooth road in the city and was braking at a traffic light.

I've encountered the problem of the brake pedal loses pressure, causing increased stopping distances. 3-4 incidents happened where i narrowly avoided the accident either quickly changing the lane or pressing the break pedal multiple times to gain the pressure all those incident scared me to my death. the problem happens after bumping on a pot hole/man hole and then braking on a low-friction surface such as a manhole cover and pedal wen to the floor. this happened with i was driving on the city local roads at speed between 25-35 miles per hour. this has happened to me two times in the recent month feb-mar 2017. i'd request nhtsa to investigate this issue .

New brakes 2016 complete. in february.2017 brake pedal became spongey while attempting to stop. if you push hard enough, it will go to the floor. this happens quite often.replaced the master cylinder, did not help. while attempting to stop at a stop sign, the right front tire hit a patch of ice, and the break puddle went to the floor.

In the spring of 2017 i was driving the vehicle on a rainy day and applied the brakes sufficient to trigger the abs system. this resulted in a significant loss of braking ability, with the brake pedal almost to the floor before limited braking action could be obtained. the ability to stop the vehicle was dramatically reduced. the problem went away following a hard brake application on loose gravel, sufficient to trigger the abs system again. date listed for this problem is approximate.

My brakes went out. the brake caliper or abs pump is bad. they are expensive parts to rplace one and then replace the other espically whem the brake master cylinder may go back out in 6 months. i see many complaints that it went bad in 3 to 6 months

Abs? i have lost brake pressure twice, 6 months apart. first time i was exiting interstate 40, hit a small hole in the road before the stop light and my brake peddle went to the floor. thankfully i was able to stop. the "spongy" brake continued until i stopped about 5 minutes later. after turning the car off and restarting, the brakes were fine. the next instance was when i was leaving work. again, i hit a small bump in the road and the brake peddle went to the floor. the "spongy" brake continued until i stopped, turned my car off and restarted. the brakes were fine after that. i'm concerned for my safety. what happens next time when i have no brakes at all?

1. drove vehicle to town to get groceries. at the first stop sign the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. had to pump brakes after car did not stop. stopped in middle of intersection. 2. drove car back home. called the aubert tow service in indianola, ia and they picked up car on a flat bed trailer and delivered to aviitt automotive in indianola, ia. 3. i am closing a copy of the defective issue on the nissan. the abs brake actuator and electric unit failed. 4. miles on the vehicle is 60,088. 5. the date of the incident is 2-16-2017 6. the mechanic stated the actuator in the 2009 was replaced on later murano. 7 there is no recall on the 2009 nissan murano

During the winter i was driving about 15mph and attempted to stop on an icy road. since then, my brake pedal is completely soft and goes all the way down to the floor in order for me to slow down or come to a stop. i have had my break pads and rotors replaced, as well as a new master cylinder installed. nothing has solved my issue of having a soft pedal. this is really scary on the highway and i have three children to drive around. i have reached out to nissan corporate who told me that unless there was a recall, they will not help me. i asked them to send me a notice in writing stating that they are not willing to help for my records. i am praying for my safety and the safety of my children, that nhtsa does something about this and soon. nissan has been negligent and unapologetic.

For almost 2 years off & on, every six months or so, my brakes for a brief period would go to the floor as i was driving, it would happen backing up, trying to stop at a street light, or trying to slow down at an intersection. never a specific thing, always almost to the point of not stopping. i had it checked three different times, one time the person at the dealership said don't drive it. i had it towed to the dealer to have it repaired, but worked fine when it arrived there. the final time was this past february when the brakes stayed to the floor. nissan dealership replaced a abs actuator, after replacing the master cylinder first, which did nothing to correct the problem. this repair was not cheap. it appears the actuator may have been the cure. after all of this time i still do not feel completely safe driving my vehicle because of the on again off again problem that persisted for so long. i love this car, but i am in the process of looking to trade it in. i have had no further problem since they replaced the actuator.

Spongy brake; had to brake pushing pedal almost down to the floor. no warning. mechanic thought it was a cylinder issue but not the issue. nissian mechanic stated it's a common problem with the 2009 nissian murano & the solution is to repair the abs motor modulator valve. car has 91,000 miles...updated 03/29/17 *bf *cn

Brake pedal went to floor without warning. vehicle fail to stop. nissan dealer diagnosed a failed abs system. new model muranos have a recall for the same thing but not the 2009.

While applying my brakes to stop i hit a bump and i couldn't brake. my brakes lost all pressure, the peddle went all the way to the floor and i was unable to stop my vehicle at the stop sign. i ran the stop sign and slowly i got my vehicle to stop by lowering my gear. i had already replaced my break pads and rotors last year and my fluids had been checked just a month ago. i took my vehicle to the shop and they checked my brakes and the fluid which were all fine. the shop was able to make this condition happen numerous times over and diagnosed the problem. the abs valve was stuck open when hitting a bump and thus no brake pressure. i looked on the recall website and noticed this same issue happened to the 2014 and 2015 models and this had been recalled for these vehicles. also, i went online and found a blog of complaints about this same issue with the 2009 vehicle from other owners. this should be recalled just like the other years. very scary to have had this happen and know that it may happen again.

Vehicle has developed a soft brake pedal that requires the pedal be depressed completely to the floor to initiate braking. brake pads, brake fluid, and brake lines have been checked with no apparent issues. numerous owners of this vehicle make/model are reporting this same issue with no apparent resolution. i'm very concerned about the safety issue this problem presents while operating this vehicle. nissan needs to step in and identify the root cause and corrective action to prevent unnecessary injuries or loss of life.

My front brakes are squeaky. even after having my brakes regularly serviced with pads and rotors the brakes still squeak. their have also been times when i stepped on the brake but the car did not slow down as expected. i had to pump the brakes to re-engage them. once this caused me to roll into an intersection which luckily no other cars were near me. now my front left wheel has started making loud swooshing and screeching noises. the faster i drive the louder the noise gets. the squeak in the left front tire is also present when driving in neutral. i have an appointment to get the car serviced on wednesday. even after servicing it makes me nervous that my car is not safe.

2009 nissan murano loses brake pressure after hitting bumps while braking. brake pedal goes soft and driver is required to push brake pedal 3/4 of pedal travel before brakes enact. we've owned this vehicle 05/2015 and this is the 4th rime this has happened. vehicle is in this condition presently. once stopped the vehicle stays put. the symptom corrects itself between a few hours to 1-2 days. i've had a local dealer look at vehicle but symptom was gone on arrival. at their suggestion, they replaced the brakes. it's very sporadic as to when it happens or the severity of the bumps to cause issue. the brakes fluid is clean and at proper level, rotors are in good shape, and no warning or abs lights on dashboard. there also has been no codes thrown by computer. i removed and reseated abs fuse but issue still remains. a quick online search reveals multiple owners having same issue since at least 2010. although the brakes don't fail entirely, it can cause accidents when pedal travel requirements change upon braking. it may be a pre-cursor to a complete failure if not addressed. *tr

I experienced loss of break pressure when going down a dirt road so i took it to an auto shop and was told it was the abs system and paid to have it fixed. the next day, driving down a gravel road i lost break pressure again and had to have it fixed. one month after that i lost break pressure while driving in the pouring rain and had to have it fixed. now i am experiencing a squeaking noise in my breaks while my car is in reverse. i have replaced all four breaks and rotors and have had them inspected by three different mechanics who have all said that my breaks are fine and it must be a manufacturer defect.

We have had two incidents now where the brakes have failed on our 2009 murano. after hitting a pot hole while entering an intersection, i tried to turn right. i went to hit my brakes in the turn but found they were not working. i pushed the pedal to the floor with no change. i then repeatedly pumped the breaks to get some kind of traction and was eventually able to come to a stop. because of my location in the intersection, i then had to continue to clear the area. the brakes continued to be "soft" until i was able to get to a safe place. i turned the vehicle off and restarted after several minutes. the brake system appeared to reset and i had no further problems. the first occurrence with brakes failing was several weeks ago, the same thing happened while my daughter was driving. she hit a bump in the road, and then lost all braking. her speed was minimal and she was able to stop. the vehicle was turned off and restarted and there were no other problems until today. new brakes and rotors were put on approximately 9 months ago. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. while driving 60 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle accelerated instead. each time the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle would accelerate at a high speed. the brake pedal was depressed to the floor. the contact placed the vehicle in park, but the engine kept revving. the contact was able to turn the vehicle off, but once it restarted, the rpms kept increasing and a popping sound was heard. the vehicle was turned off again and operated normally when it was restarted. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failures. the failure mileage was approximately 106,000.

The brakes did not work and pedal went right to the floor on two occasions. the first instance was after a quick stop. i had to stop quickly when someone pulled out in front of me and then the next time i went to put on the brakes to slow down a few hundred yards later, they didn't work at all and the pedal went to the floor. i had to let the pedal come up and then push it back down several times for it to regain pressure. the other time was after pulling out from a stop, there was some ice under one or more wheel and there was some slippage as i started forward. my next need to stop about a quarter mile down the road, i was unable to and the pedal again went right to the floor. i had to pump the pedal many times to get pressure back and for the brakes to work.

Vehicle brake pedal very soft, spongy, and squishy at all times (even with new brake pads, rotors, and properly bleed lines). have lost brakes at one point completely, brake pedal touched ground. i tried to slow down on totally normal road conditions, my abs engaged, but the pedal went to the floor and did not return. the top 10% of the pedal gives me 10% braking power, the middle 80% of the pedal travel does nothing, and only the bottom 10% of the pedal, just before it touches the floor, actually provides any real braking. as a result, the reaction time and stopping distance is terrible. this will cause an accident at some point. nhtsa is investigating, but needs to act and issue a recall for 2009 murano immediately.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. while driving various speeds over a bump or gravel pavement, the brake pedal had to be depressed all the way to the floorboard in order to stop the vehicle. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to dave smith nissan (6901 e sprague ave, spokane, wa 99212, (509) 924-6242) several times where it was diagnosed with air in the brakes. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the contact found that the failure was under investigation with nhtsa per nhtsa action number: pe17002 (service brakes, air. service brakes). the failure mileage was approximately 117,000.

After going over a bump in the road while braking, the brake pedal became very soft, requiring that one push the brake pedal almost completely to the floor in order to stop the car. the brakes did stop the car but required great force, and the pedal went to the floor. returned to normal overnight. three weeks later same thing happened again, this time after hitting a pothole. went away after several days. third time happened without hitting any bumps. dealer says it is abs actuator and will cost $2500 to fix. unless it is fixed, though, the brake pedal goes to the floor without even slowing the car down until the last second, and you are never sure it is going to stop at all!

Soft brake pedal after hitting a bump. november 2016 i was going into a parking lot, as i was coming off of the pavement going onto the gravel my abs engaged and the brake pedal went to the floor. i called my nissan dealership and they felt that when i shut the car off, all systems should reset. when i did that, systems did reset and my brakes returned to normal. this has happened 3 more times since, the last time was in october 2017 and the system or abs and the soft brake issues has not reset. to this point, i have always had some brakes, though the pedal goes almost to the floor each time used. my wife, and daughter, when they drive the car, feel there are no brakes. i guess i have gotten somewhat used to them. i am convinced that something needs to be repaired, but i am reading that it may cost between $1500, and $2400 to repair. the issue is very serious because i have read that some brakes have failed and caused accidents and occupants have been injured. i feel a recall by nissan should take place, to help get these issues resolved. the issue is very expensive for us as owners to fix on our own especially when the value of the vehicle is so low. would like to trade vehicle off, but being honest would be hard to pass issue onto the next owner. currently, the brake pedal still remains soft and almost goes to the floor board of the vehicle.

Every time the abs system is engaged due to slipping on rough road or leaves etc, the brakes become spongy and unresponsive. in addition, the pedal travels all the way to the floor. this happens at any speed, any time the abs system is called upon. it is clear there is a bypass valve that is not returning to its normal position. it is unacceptable that, with over 30 complaints to the ntsa, no research has been done on this issue by nissan. the replacement part is around $1500, possibly the most expensive single brake part in existence.

While driving on the road, after my car hit a raccoon the break pedal went soft and lost pressure totally and the car was not stopping. i was eventually able to get the car stopped after a few hundred meters by using the parking break. the break pedal was pressed completely to the floor and no pressure at all. i was lucky to be able to stop the car without collision with the break sudden out of control, but really in a panic with extreme concerns of my driving safety. i turned off the car for a while and turn back on, the break returned to normal and i could drive my car home slowly. i brought my car to the dealer next day and the issue seems well known by the dealer but they have nothing to do to solve it. this break issue happened few times before while driving over a bump. i found this is most likely the same abs motor modulator issue others have claimed, nissan should set a recall to fix this asap to avoid tragedies on the road.

Brakes suddenly are spongy and soft. need to be depressed much more than normal. this is a condition that has appeared suddenly. took car to mechanic and he replaced rear brakes, turned rotors, and replaced the master cylinder twice, both resulting in the same spongy brake condition.

While braking for a yellow light, i hit a pothole and the brake pedal went totally soft, dropped to the floor, and the car was not stopping. i coasted through the red light and was able to get enough pressure from the pedal to stop the car a few hundred feet later. the brake pedal was pressed completely to the floor. i turned the car off to consider my options (and panic a little), then turned it back on. the brake returned to normal height and pressure. i drove the 15 miles home very cautiously. brakes have been fine since, but i have been driving incredibly slowly and cautiously. car is with the dealer now to troubleshoot, though i am guessing it's the same abs motor modulator issue others have had. it seems like this fix isn't quite known to 100% be the fix, and so i am incredibly leery of driving this car any more, even repaired. my family's safety is too important to not be sure. shopping for its replacement now. failure first occurred at 98k miles. *tr

Sudden loss of brakes. master cylinder failed and abs actuator module failed internally. vehicle was in motion at 45 mph on a highway.

Our 2009 nissan murano lost break pressure a few months ago. took it to a mechanic who replaced the master cylinder to the tune of about $700. less than two months later it is happening again (break all the way to the floor). unfortunately i didn't realize until now that this is a very common issue. i cannot believe there hasn't been a recall for this potentially life threatening problem.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. while driving various speeds, the brake pedal was depressed and traveled to the floorboard without warning. the contact stated that the failure mostly occurred on slick roadways or after traveling over a bump. at times, in order to stop the vehicle, the contact would have to turn off the engine and restart it in order for the vehicle to operate correctly. the vehicle was taken to williams woody nissan (3600 s limit ave, sedalia, mo 65301, (660) 827-1403), but no failure codes were found and the failure could not be duplicated. the contact was informed by the dealer to drive to any dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing when the failure recurred. without turning off the vehicle, no failure codes would be detected. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to a nissan dealer. the failure mileage was unknown.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. the contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle hesitated to decrease in speed. the vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the abs control failed. the manufacture was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 127,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. after the vehicle drove over a pothole, it lost brake functionality without warning. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 80,000. updated 08/15/17*lj *cn

Twice now during normal driving the brake pedal has gone all the way to the floor while trying to apply the brakes. there was a total loss of braking. after pumping the brakes they returned to normal. took the car to the dealer and explained the condition and they did a full brake exam. ended up having the rear brakes replaced. seemed o.k. until it happened again today.

Brakes lost pedal pressure several times.intermitent problem.mechanic replaced abs motor modulator.cost was $2300.the problem seems to be common with this model.very dangerous.recall needed.

I have experienced 2 complete failures of my brake system with my nissan murano sl - 2009. in sept 2016 - 91251 miles: driving over the crest of a bridge in the rain and when traffic backed up from a red light, i depressed the brake, it went completely to the floor and the car would not stop. i was able to avoid a major collision by driving off into a grassy area that presented just before i hit the car in front of me to cause a chain collision. the remainder of the drive, i was able to get the vehicle to stop only after continuously pumping the pedal. i had the vehicle towed to a repair shop. after extensive analysis, it was determined the master cylinder was bypassing internally due to a bad gasket and brake fluid was not dispersing. $623.86 ($468.71 for master cylinder seal) (which i believe is under a recall of the newer suv's). in october of 2016 - mileage 92146. experienced the 2nd loss of brakes turning onto a side street in clear conditions. i had the vehicle towed back to the same auto repair shop, assuming it was a repeat of the master cylinder issue. it was determined that it was now the abs actuator. (a current recalled item for newer models of the nissan murano) on 10/18/16 i had the vehicle towed, for the 3rd time, to the dealership in orlando florida. current the issue now was the abs hydraulic unit - outlet valve sticking open. cost - $3305.

Failure of abs hydraulic control unit, causing brake failure where pedal had to be pushed to floor to engage brakes.

On two occasions the brake pedal has gone straight to the floor board when applied. the first time i was driving at slow speeds and after pumping the brake pedal it engaged and began working. on the second occasion my husband was driving at freeway speeds and had to brake and swerved to miss hitting the vehicle stopped in front of us.

Brake pedal goes all the way to the floor after hitting bumps. happens sporadically, and typically corrects itself after several minutes of putting the car in park, but has taken days at times. brakes do stop the car but it is clear that the abs system is somehow disabled. this has happened 8-10 times in the past year, my car has 106,000 miles

Our 2009 murano brake pedal worked fine until 6 months ago. the pedal then started to feel very soft when pressed. i took it to a mechanic and they looked over it but couldn't find anything seriously wrong and adjusted the tension. the brakes seemed normal after but didn't last long. i then took it to a former nissan mechanic that looked into it and recommended we take it to the dealer since he couldn't find anything wrong with it and didn't want to change parts without knowing for sure. he looked into the bulletins that have been reported and felt that nissan has a serious problem with this model on their brakes. when i went to the nissan dealer they acted as if they have never heard of any brake issues with the muranos. i informed her to look at the bulletins that have been submitted but it didn't seem to matter. i had them check the murano over and they came back and said brake fluid is dirty that should fix it. of course it didn't fix the serious issue that nissan has with brakes.

In early sept of 2016 while exiting off of the interstate i went over an uneven surface on the road and my brakes went completely soft and all the way to the floorboard. i couldn't stop my vehicle. i was so scared and had no idea what to do to avoid hitting the car in front of me. luckily i wasn't going very fast, no one was behind me so i started furiously pumping the brakes continuously praying this would help. i was about a mile away from home so i pumped them all the way home. we took my car into eddie tourelle nissan in covington, la. on 9/6/2016 where i had originally purchased the car back in 2009. we literally had a couple of days before our extended warranty was due to expire. they changed the master cylinder thinking this was this issue. needless to say it happened again a few weeks later and has happened several times since then. i have been fortunate so far and not gotten into a serious accident. when it happens i immediately try to pump the brakes until the pressure returns. this is extremely scary and dangerous. i never know when it will happen, there is no warning. so very scared that i will eventually get into a serious accident.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. while driving 30 mph, the brake pedal was applied, but the brakes failed to respond. the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. the vehicle was taken to fuccillo nissan (3893 state route 31, liverpool, ny 13090) where it was diagnosed that the master cylinder needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the contact searched online and believed the brake actuator needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified and stated that the vehicle was no longer under warranty. no further assistance was provided. the failure mileage was 22,000.

The brakes in our 2009 nissan murano intermittently fail about once or twice a month. when a failure occurs the brake pedal goes down to the floor and the vehicle slows, but does not stop. several occurrences required a swerve off the road to avoid a collision. several, but not all of these occurrences were preceded by a jolt to the vehicle (pothole, railroad track, etc.). no warning lights or abs lights come on and no error codes are set. the condition lasts for a few minutes to a few hours then returns to completely normal operation. the local nissan dealership cannot find anything wrong with the vehicle and were unable or unwilling to help.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. while driving approximately 30 mph and attempting to make a turn, the brakes lost pressure and the vehicle failed to stop without warning. the contact slowly drove home. the vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the cause of the failure was unable to be diagnosed. the failure recurred a year later without warning. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to diagnose the failure initially. the technician performed more diagnostic testing and replaced the abs module. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 84,720.

While braking fairly hard from 45 mph on a straight highway, the vehicle went over a small hump in the asphalt. this apparently activated the abs system, which failed and remained in that mode. subsequently, when the brakes were applied, the brake pedal would go almost all the way to the floor, considerably increasing stopping distance. the nissan dealer replaced the abs actuator for $2700. i feel that this is a premature failure for a vehicle with only 79,000 miles.

2009 murano le with awd. lost brake pedal pressure after abs activation august 2016 with 72,600 miles on it. purchased used from new car dealer with 22k miles on it 02/02/2011. i turned into a parking lot and drove over a speed bump at about 10 mph another car pulled in front of me and i hit the brakes and abs was activated. the brake pedal was soft and went almost to the floor. i pumped the brakes and the pressure returned to normal. the brakes responded normally for a couple weeks until i braked hard to avoid another car and the abs braking again activated and the pedal went to the floor. after that the brake pressure did not return although i could stop by pumping them repeatedly. i took the vehicle to mossy nissan poway and they diagnosed the problem as a defective abs actuator and ecu which was not covered under warranty although it has been a common problem with awd muranos. part was $1822 and labor $560.

We started experiencing problems with a very low brake pedal about 3 weeks ago. it was sporadic and would get better after pumping the brakes repeatedly but return after a few days. went to one repair shop and they suggested new brakes pads and front rotors. we had this done and the brakes seemed fine for a few days but then returned to the low pedal. went to another repair shop and they indicated that a new master cylinder was needed. had this done yesterday and again the brakes seemed ok but went back to a low pedal while driving home. from what i've read in the other complaints listed, this is the same issue experienced by others and given the potential for a major accident and injuries, i can not understand why nhtsa has not required a recall. we have now spent over $1,200 for repairs that likely were not needed. i do not intend to pay for a new abs controller. nissan needs to take ownership of this problem and provide a fix at no cost.

On july 22, 2016 i left work and took the interstate home. i was in the fast lane traveling about 60 mph and had not been on the interstate long. i noticed that traffic was coming to a slow stop. i applied my brakes. at first it felt normal as if my brakes were okay, but then they went all the way to the floor. i was blessed that the traffic in the right hand lane was back far enough for me to get over. i kept trying to apply my brakes and they were on the floor. the car did slow down eventually. i was able to make it home by driving extremely slow and easing to a stop starting 30 yards from the vehicle in front of me. i had my murano towed to a repair shop on saturday morning and they kept it the entire next week. i was told that when they first got in the vehicle, the brakes went to the floor again when they tried to stop. however, after that first attempt the brakes started to work perfectly. they drove it the entire week to see if the malfunction would repeat itself but it never did. i picked my car up on friday, july 29, 2016 with no assurance that the brakes would not go out again. since the problem could not be isolated, no repairs were made. i continue to drive my car out of necessity for work but i am stressed not knowing if or when my brakes will fail again. i do have documentation from the repair shop but it is not online so i cannot load it.

Brakes lose pressure after hitting bumps or slick spots in the road regardless of surface street or highway conditions. attempting to break causes the brakes to be completely depressed to the floor of the vehicle and braking distance is dangerously increased. removing the abs fuse and replacing it will temporarily remedy the problem.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. the contact stated that while driving at 25 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to operate. the vehicle was taken to peoria nissan located at 9151 w. bell road, peoria, az 85382, tel: 623-385-1467 and also coulter nissan located at 13301 n. autoshow avenue, surprise az, 85388, tel: 623-934-3444, to be diagnosed. the contact was informed that the brake master cylinder needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was notified of the failure however, the contact was not provided any assistance with having the vehicle repaired again. the approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 nissan murano. after driving over a pothole, the brakes failed to function and the emergency brake had to be applied. the dealer was notified of the failure. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to replicate and diagnose the failure. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no solution. the approximate failure mileage was 73,000.
