The sun visor on both sides of nissan murano keeps falling and especially while driving. this is a very common issue and nissan needs to address. *tr
The driver side sun visor randomly drops down while driving. nissan wants 400.00 to replace the sun visor. this is a defect in the vehicle. i have gone online there are 100's of complaints about the 2004 nissan murano's sunvisor. i want to issue a formal compliant about this very serious problem! this happens daily. *tr
Passenger side mirror destroyed by other motorist, when bringing it to the dealer in long beach they wanted to give me the car back with all the doors not working. after he already charged over $400 for the rear view mirror we were unable to lock the car, open the door except manually, after a 3 days with a rental car the nissan dealer charged another $550 for a broken actuator that was not broken before we brought it to the dealer. coincidence, i think not, the web is full of folks that have the same complaint. it's a rip-off and they need to be stopped. *jb
I am the original owner of 2005 murano. i noticed a problem with hydroplaning soon after purchase, and have always been extremely careful and on guard when driving in rain or even when streets are wet. this would happen with brand new tires and tires that were slightly worn so the tires don't seem to be the problem, unless its the type of tire but its not the tread on the tire. the car came with goodyear eagle p235/65 r18 tires and i have replaced with same tires when nissan service department advised of tread wear. on july 22, 2013 i was on my way home from gatlinburg with daughter and 2 year old granddaughter in car. we were caught in downpour going through knoxville. i truly cannot believe we are alive. my car would continually lose traction and it would slide to one side until it would grab traction before going off the road or wrecking. something is terribly wrong with the murano in regards to hydroplaning. i also have had the problem with the driver's side visor coming down and will not stay up since a couple years after ...
While driving on the highway, my situational awareness was extremely compromised when my driver's side sun visor inadvertently came down and would no longer stay in the upright position. i had to drive with it this way for the rest of my trip (over 2 hours) with heavy rain. it was dangerous as my visibility was substantially obstructed with the visor. a quick search in the internet revealed that this is a somewhat common occurrence due to poor visor design and nissan seems to be overlooking the issue. replacement visors are several hundred dollars and seem to fail alike in the same spot (the arm headliner attachment). if nissan won't re-engineer the part to correct the problem, they should replace it free of charge. this is a safety issue bound to reoccur. *tr
The driver side sun visor does not stay up. it keeps falling. i have spoken to nissan and they said it is not a warranty item. i have searched the nissan forums and read where one nissan mechanic, (metro273) said that this is a faulty problem with the sun visor and he has repaired many. to my point this presents a hazard for the driver because if the car is in motion and this thing falls down, the driver has to make a split decision by taking his eyes off the road to remove the obstacle that is blocking his or her view. nissan should warranty this item and replace it for free. *tr
The visor will not stay up. it is dangerous because i am 6'1"and my son is 6'9" and we can't see out of the window when we drive. this is supposedly a common thing with this car. it costs like $300. to fix. it is a safety issue and nissa knows about it and should have to fix it without charge. *tr
