The air bag warning light has been flashing on my instrument panel since spring of 2019. brought to a couple different places and they can't clear the code. says no air bag detected. i haven't fixed it yet...cuz i ain't got the money. the vehicle was in motion on highway when light came on. there is no varying of light...stays on continually.

Brake and accelerator pedal placements and operation are dangerous. the brake pedal depresses too far before engaging the brakes and is too close to the accelerator pedal to work with this braking characteristic. a boot or wide shoe can overhang the edge of the brake pedal and engage the accelerator before braking becomes effective. the engine races, you push the brake pedal harder, depressing the accelerator more, racing the engine even more... once the cycle starts you must use the emergency brake or throw it into neutral to prevent forward motion. then finally take your foot off the 'brake' -which also releases the accelerator. the brakes need to engage before they depress to the same plane as the accelerator.

A burning or hot component odor occurred on a long trip with the a/c set to automatic control at 74 f with outside temps in the 80's. the heat "odor" was tracked to a section approx 2 inches square of the a/c ducts under the glove compartment on the passenger side. it appears to be a point near a motor or hot side of the exchange coil. the surface of the duct appeared to be hot enough to cause blistering if skin were held in contact for an extended duration. a barefoot passenger falling asleep could receive a burn. if cargo or a purse prevents air from circulating on the outside of the duct, it is unknown if it could get hot enough to ignite combustible materials.
