Recently reported EXTERIOR LIGHTING problems on 2002 Nissan Frontier

During vehicle operation the brake and battery light will flash repeatedly on and off until engine is shut off. will not start again until after vehicle is driven short distance. battery, alternator, and regulator have been tested. during use at night vehicle headlights will flicker and dim as well as dashboard lights.

I find it hard to believe that the dot allows headlights to be produced that become cloudy, yellow, and hazed after a couple of years. when the headlights are like this it makes it very difficult to see at night. *tr

Water gets in the seal of the upper rear tail light/cargo light. the water leaks through damaging the headliner and carpet. also blew my fuse and none of the lights work in it, as well as blowing out the fuse every time i replace it. there is still no updated version or recall for it all you can do is get a new one and hope it lasts a little longer. *tr

Everytime it rains the 3rd brake light fills up with water. had nissan replace it once and it still does it. nissans fix to there problem isn't even a fix.*ak

Ineffective headlights/2002 nissan frontier. *la

2002 nissan fontier crewcab. the 3rd tailight/stoplight that is mounted to the roof has a design flaw. first water fills the light assembly then it leaks into the cab. the carpet in the truck is now ruined, along with the headliner. a heavy downpour will force cups of water into the cab - not just a few drops. see odi#10025784 - as mine is not an isolated case. this problem needs a nissan service bullitin or a recall.

3rd stop/taillight on my 2002 nissan frontier fills with waterevery 1500 mile replaced 3 times without correction. this light is installed for a safety reason so i believe it should be in proper working order.*ak
