I have a 2014 nissan altima that has 72,000 miles on it. the low beam headlights are so dim i can barely see a foot in front of me. this is a real safety concern. i have replaced the bulbs with led and it did not fix the problem. traveling on any road i have to put my bright lights on just to see. it's not safe to drive it at night and i shouldn't have to put my safety or the safety of others in jeopardy just because nissan has a flawed system they refuse to acknowledge. it's surely someone's responsibility to make nissan put out a recall on these headlights so we as the car owners don't have to pay $1,000 for something that is nissan's fault. as of december 2018, this particular problem ranks 10th in the carcomplaints.com recent problem trend list. this is a manufacturing issue. nissan needs to address the issues before someone gets hurt. i am begging you to please make nissan accountable for this problem. there are literally hundreds of consumers complains all over the internet and there are over 96 complaints alone on your website that pertain to this specific issue for 2014 nissan altima's from. please make something happen before someone gets killed!!!!!!!

I understand and am experiencing a serious issue with dim headlights that seems to be a common problem with many altimas. the head lights are so dim now that it is extremely difficult to see the road under normal night driving conditions, and it is magnified during inclement weather. i am also very concerned that i'm not going to see someone crossing the road which i encountered, and luckily the person had reached the other side of the road as i was just about to enter the crosswalk! there is no question that this is safety issue to all drivers of altimas, their passengers and pedestrians. as i hadn't expected this problem i really wasn't paying attention to it until i read an article that this is a common issue of which i am confused as to why it has not yet been addressed. thanks for accepting my compliant.

Takata recall: the driver side sun visor in my 2014 altima has somehow broken from the inside-out. i would estimate that it began malfunctioning over the last year. it will not stay clipped into place and it seems the clip or some piece inside of the visor affects the ability for the visor to function properly. the visor being broken is a safety concern because it prohibits my view as the driver and the visor swings into my view when turning. when the visor is locked in place, i have to crouch down to see under it. it seems to be a hazard and concern for many other nissan owners. the real issue of safety and the hazard is that the visor wasn't broken due to poor use, it seems to have been defective from its inception.

Defective low -beam headlight while driveing the vehicle you cannot see anything and front of you. look like the headlights are facing the ground . you would have to turn on the high beam head light in order to see a safe distance ahead .the defective headlight may be inadequate to meet state and federal safety regulations. i have contacted nissan corporate office on numerous occasions. they inform me to take the care into the dealership and get it look at the file a claim. i have done both still no resolution to this issue ,also i have research online in a lot of customer have had this same issue with the 2013 -2017 nissan altima low beam headlight issues not being able to see at night only the high beam lights provide extra sight to see ahead . in conclusion i have had the headlight changed as well this the issue haven't been resolved .

The halogen projector headlights are dangerously dim as time goes on and new bulbs do not fix the problem. other altima owners report this same issue and i suspect that the bowl with reflective coating on the projectors is bad. the headlights are very dim and can only illuminate less than 100 feet. the high beams do not have this issue as they are only halogen bulbs and not projectors. one must drive with the high beams on to safely see on the highway and on dark streets and this is not safe for surrounding drivers either.

While driving approx 65 mph, was startled by large booming crash from roof of my car. upon pulling over and examining it was apparent that the sunroof had exploded. there was no evidence of a rock or other object hitting the sunroof, and no other automobile had been in close enough proximity to flip up a rock or other object. dealer acknowledged they have had a handful of other people come in with unexplained shattering of sunroofs.

While driving home last night approx 35 mph my hood flew open and unlatched and impaired my windshield significantly and visibility driving was extremely impacted. as it was late in the evening there was no traffic directly in front or behind me. i was startled to say the least. i was able to safely negotiate to shoulder of road and engage hazard lights and resecure the hood. i was on a city street and moving straight and not turning the vehicle. i would hate to think a far worse outcome in heavy interstate traffic at a higher speed.

Low beam headlights are extremely dim. i even replace them with hid and led light but no change very low visibility at night

The low beam headlights are very dim.bulb replacement does not help.

Windshield has scratches that make it difficult to see out of, especially at night. took car to dealer to claim under 3-year "bumper-to-bumper" warranty & extended service contract that dealer claimed at time of purchase would cover all problems. dealer claimed this issue is not covered under either warranty. warranties are totally bogus.

Poor visibility: when sunlight or artificial lights strikes the windshield at about 40 to 60 degrees, it prevents good visibility, specially when entering my garage. the problem becomes worse and under rainy-foggy conditions. making very difficult to see the road and the signs, spite of using the wind shield wipers and the defogger to the max. i went to the local nissan dealership to report this problem; i was told there was nothing wrong with the windshield. i sent a letter on 7/24/16 to nissan of north america to notify them of this problem. no written response given; a clerk or secretary called me to tell me to take the car back to the dealership. they told me again there in nothing wrong with the windshield. on august 30th, 2016 while driving with 2 passengers, the poor visibility of the windshield put us in serious risk of crash at an interstate highway. this problem needs immediate correction, before a fatality occurs.

I ran low on windshield washer fluid and a light can on notifying me. the next day i noticed that the lane detection system and the car in your blind spot indicator was no working. causing a safety concern. come to find out. when you run low on wiper fluid, it deactivates these safety features. i think this is crazy and dangerous. put in wiper fluid and it corrected the problem. wow!!!

Cracked 2014 nissan altima windshield. parked in driveway under a carport.crack started from where the hood meets middle windshield. found numerous complaints of spontaneous cracking of windshields. possible engineering/materials defect. examples: some at least 50 complaints. http://www.topix.com/forum/autos/nissan-altima/t47v5h1tb7k... (five pages) http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/2013 -nissan-altima-discussion-2... http:://www.carcomplaints.com/nissan/altima/2013/windows_windshield/windshield_cracked.shtml such as: "dear nhtsa, please investigate if the windshield on 2013 nissan altima are defective in nature. our brand new altima which has less than 2 years old suffered a crack windshield, that appeared out of nowhere. "

While driving in new york, i suddenly heard a pop, and realized that the windshield cracked at the bottom of the passenger's side. the crack is about 10 inches long, and starts at the very edge of the windshield, going towards the center of the passenger's side of it. there was no impact, no gravel, no rocks hit the windshield. there are no chips, and no place of impact, the crack appeared out of nowhere. called the dealer, the dealer refused to repair the windshield under warranty, and advised me to call the insurance company. *tr
