Tl* the contact owned a 2014 maserati ghibli. the contact stated the vehicle was included in a manufacturers recall for the gear shift lever for which they received the repair. the contact stated that after receiving the repair, the vehicle would drift to the left or right whenever driving in highway speeds. the contact also noticed that the left side of the vehicle was lower than the right side. the contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, when another vehicle suddenly merged in front causing the contact to steer their vehicle to the right in order to avoid a crash. when turning the steering wheel to the right, the vehicle suddenly drifted left. the contact attempted to gain control however, the vehicle spun around and crashed into a tree. the vehicle caught on fire and the vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. a police report was filed. the contact received neck, hip, and leg injuries that required medical attention. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 8,000. updated 01/27/17*lj the consumer stated the coil spring and strut tower were replaced previously. updated 02/07/17.*jb
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 maserati ghibli. the contact stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 16v122000 (vehicle speed control), 16v264000 (suspension), 16v424000 (power train), 17v046000 (seats, electrical system), and 18v831000 (fuel system, gasoline). the contact stated that the parts were not provided within a reasonable time frame. maserati of hawaii (888 kapiolani blvd, honolulu, hi 96813, (808) 585-6617) was notified and several appointments were scheduled; however, they failed to service each recall repair required by the manufacturer. when the vehicle was purchased from the dealer, they made no mention of any recall campaigns that needed to be serviced. a loaner vehicle had not been provided. the manufacturer was contacted. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.
