In car accident on dec 12, 2019. upon impact. severe pain caused from air bag deployment. myself and my son when both hit in the face. my car was completely totaled due to air bag deployment . my car was turned a little to the right to avoid full blown rear impact coming up over hill. was on a city street and my steering wheel was broken in half. i am receiving recall on air bags 40 days after accident occurred. my car was a total loss. i have been driving a rental at cost to me for almost 6 weeks now.

Takata recall. i have now tried to work with towo different ford dealerships to get my takata airbag replaced on recall. i call them and talk to them and give them all my information. korum ford of puyallup says that they are not handling the recalls, and then i contacted bowen scarf ford of kent, talked to a representative and they said they would schedule me. this has not happened to date and i have called and left messages multiple times. this is very frustrating that i cannot not get this safety issue taken care of.

Since 2 years ago ford recalled these airbags and do nothing! i went to 2 dealers lincoln in my area because i received letter from ford stating that they will pay for a rental car up to 45$/day until this recalled car is done and none of dealers wanted to provide a rental car-both said that is not worthed and i will lose money if i rent. this car is dangerous and all of them turned me away.ford send a letter stating that they will cover up to 45$ / a day for a rental.riverhead ny dealer said i have to rent through them w hertz a ford vehicle to qualify for this rental or another car up to 30$/day max because ford will not pay!!! i found this weird and went to second lincoln dealer brigh bay lincoln in bay shore ny. here story was a little changed: "you can rent through us w hertz any car up to 45$/day but you have to pay in advance a month for the rental and after to submit to ford your rental expense and they will decide if they pay or not!!!!??? also you have to take this car with recall to your place and sign an affidavit that you will not use the car until is fixed!!! i ask why they don't keep the recalled car to them and said : no room! these guys at ford lincoln i think they do all they can not to give out another car and prefer that we risk our lives! maybe i should sue them!

Takata recall. brought vehicle in 7/18, was given written notice at that time of recall status. made attempt the following month to have issue resolved at ford dealer in ithaca, ny, and was informed recall part not available until mid september. i asked before leaving to be placed on list so they could let me know when they got part. that was two months ago and i haven't heard back from them since. i need help.

Takato recall - i am very concern over the use of my vehicle as ford has not released any parts to the ford/lincoln dealer to replace the air bags. how can i expedite this process?

Takata recall received a letter from lincoln informing me that my passenger airbag could cause bodily harm if i have an accident and i'm not allowed to let anyone ride in the front passenger seat until it has been fixed. the first letter was dated in june 2016 should i be compensated for not being able to use my car with passengers riding in the front seat.

Takata recall my dealer is telling me there are no parts available yet for this recall and they don't know when they will be.

In july 2016 i received a recall notice, dealers contacted then did not have parts. subsequent contacts with both dealers and lincoln have failed to get the defective parts replaced.

Takata recall we received notice that the passenger front airbag is on recall. i called to get it fixed, and the dealership does not have the replacement. i believe this has been under recall for over a year now. it needs to be fixed asap as my children are using this car! i do not understand how it has taken all the time without a replacement.

Takata recall: ford dealer is still unable to obtain replacement airbags as of october 20, 2017.

My vehicle has an air bag that is listed as a possible defective unit. ford and lincoln have not contacted me about a replacement, and i have traveled to my dealer, carriage ford, clarksville in 47130, and they tell me it is impossible to obtain one of the replacement devices, and there is no anticipated delivery date for these.

Takata recall: several dealerships have denied fixing the airbags based on the recalls i have received. they informed me that until i receive a letter stating this recall needs to be fixed from nhtsa they will not fix it or i will be responsible for the payment.

Dealership (hawk ford of oak lawn) still does allow to make an appointment for recall. they keep saying they do not have the parts. have been calling for over 6 months to schedule an appointment.

I can not have anyone sit in the front seat as that would be dangerous if i had a crash and the defective airbag was released my husband is 86 and it is a burden for him to get in and out of the back seat i am also limited with the number of people who can ride in my car because no one can get in the front passenger seat this is extremely annoying to me and my husband this annoyance has been going on for months as no dealer has offered to help each dealer tells me the ford company must release new airbag parts its amazing that this situation can go on for long it is totally unfair please tell me if there is anyway to remedy this situation thank you

Takata recall poor customer service and lack of humanity as ford and lincoln refuse to provide loaner vehicles for all of their customers who are affected by this. our family has endured almost 1 1/2 years of mental stress worrying about getting into a simple fender bender because it could potentially cause serious injury or death as result of a lifesaving device that could in fact kill the driver and/or passengers. even the insurance companies would not assist in paying for a rental vehicle as a proactive approach to avoid a potential catastrophic event. our society is obsessed with money and greed, we no longer look out for each other. still waiting for our vehicle to be repaired in michigan.
