Takata recall - in june 2016, i received a notice in the mail about the following issue with my 2006 lincoln zephyr: the passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. this defect report is in response to takata dirs 16e-042, 16e-043, 16e-044. i then received another notice in december 2017 saying that the remedy parts have been delayed but may be available in spring 2018, for certain vehicles. the notice also warns owners that allowing anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat could cause the air bag inflator to rupture during a crash and could also cause injuries or death. i'm filing a complaint because not being able to have anyone sit in the front row passenger seat has been an inconvenience and this issue hasn't not been resolved within a timely manner.

Air bag light came on. had it diagnosed and fault according to code was b229015 fault ppt d1 to d3 rhs front sensor not reading properly need to replace inboard and outboard rhs front rails this vehicle has hardley ever had a front passenger in the front seat and there is no way that these rails should or could be damaged or bent causing the sensor not to read. this is a defective and or inferior rail system.

While driving along at approx. 50 mph, with an adult passenger in the right front seat, the airbag warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. it remains on permanently anytime the key is "on". it happened without warning on a smooth highway in good weather. the information screen did not give any further information, and the onboard computer diagnostics does not address the situation.

It will be a year in january of 2018, since i've tried to get this airbag repaired. knoxville,tennessee ,ted russell ford motor companies are stating that they still don't have the passenger airbags in to fix the takata airbag recall on my 2006 lincoln zephyr. i am fearful of it deflating on me, my passenger airbag light, comes off and on , every so often, while driving on the highway, city street, turning, while the car is in motion anytime. please help me get this fixed asap!!

Car has a hard time accelerating/switching gears whole driving in city or on the hwy... causing the engine to buck. this has been ongoing since i've owned the car. at times my airbag light comes on. ..something to do with the sensors malfunctioning.

Im filing this complaint due to having issues with my 06 lincoln zephyr. while driving my passenger side air bag light turned on and in order to get the light to turn off i had to turn off my vehicle and restarted it but the light has not come back on since then. im also having problems with my passenger side a/c seat climate control randomly turning off completely on its own. im also having issues with my a/c blowing hot air and i was told it's a sensor deep in the dash that cost approximately $25.00 but the labor is $500.00 plus. i need to find out if there are any recalls for the 2006 lincoln zephyr v6 3.0. *tr
(takata recall) my airbag logo light is on, in my dashboard, it's dangerous because i drive uber and i have customers sitting in my front seat alot. i've been to the ford dealership /lincoln and they haven't received info or any parts to fix the airbag yet. been driving like this for a few years now and been just patiently waiting.
Dt*: the contact stated a parked vehicle was struck while traveling at 45 mph. the parked vehicle was sitting in the right hand lane of traffic changing a flat tire and upon initial impact the airbags did not deploy. the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts, but minor injuries were sustained. the vehicle was totaled, due to extensive body damage. the police responded to the scene and took a report. the manufacturer was alerted. updated 09/15/06. *jb

Takata recall: i've been waiting for takata and ford to fix this serious and dangerous airbag problem for well over a year. every time i contact the lincoln dealership i get the same answer..."they haven't shipped us the parts yet." are they waiting for the car to become obsolete or do they figure that it's cheaper to pay for a 'loss'? now i've heard that takata settled with some car companies but not with ford! this situation has to be rectified.
