In direct sunlight the odometer/multifunction display is not readable. the display serves as an annunciator warning device for rear and side doors not closed properly. it is possible to drive with the rear door not secured and the warning to indicate this is not able to be read in the direct sunlight. interestingly enough the display is brighter by turning on the lights on in the park lamp mode as opposed to the automatic mode. this seems to be a software resolvable issue. *tr
