On june 25, 2016 i was the driver and was in a accident the airbag deployed and cut my left forearm open. was treated at hospital and they glued it together.
I was driving out of the parking lot suddenly anxious about the gas pedal because however hard i pressed it, the car wouldn't move ahead. i managed to get onto the main road with the emergency wrench coming up along with the driver airbag and zero mileage for the car indicating. however, this was lucky because it didn't happen on highway, i was extremely stressed out standing in the lane to turn to highway. i changed my mind, turned around, and returned to the parking lot at a crawl. i understand now that this is a common issue ...
Takata recall, nhtsa recall no. 16v384, lincoln recall no. 16s26 11-23-16, i turned steering wheel to begin to park in shopping mall garage. driver airbag immediately deployed prior to impact which caused me to hit the concrete wall ahead. there were no other passengers in the vehicle. recall notice received july 2016 on passenger airbag. obviously, there is a problem with the driver airbag also. we contacted lincoln dealer when we received the notice & also contacted athem an additional 2 ' 3 times to check on status of recall repair with no results. ...
