This web site (the nhtsa) says there is no recall on this vin, but toyota/lexus site says there is, for the airbags. this misleading information on a government web site can be dangerous.
Lexus es 350 2007 dashboard is melting and compromised. due to the sticky mess the airbags will not deploy properly and death will likely occur. very concerned about the toxicity of the dashboard as well. it's melting, changing color from black to white and cracking. this carcinogenic material is now poisoning all who ride in the vehicle. included photo does not convey the glossy melting ,sticky reality of it all. the glossy melting reflection causes lots of glare and impairs visibility on sunny days. this issue must be resolved before a life is taken needlessly. lexus refuses to replace the dashboard even though they admit that its a compromised part and have deceptively allocated this safety issue as a warranty problem that has expired. because my vehicle is seldom driven and garaged (69,717k miles) problem did not surface until now.

The passenger side airbag is being disabled by a defective sensor in the seat and lexus is informing customers that they don't have the parts to fix the issue. therefore, the passenger airbag is essentially permanently disabled. this is a serious concern since any person traveling in the front passenger seat will no longer have a working airbag.
I have a family of five and have not been able to use my vehicle to take my whole family anywhere for almost a year now. any time i have a passenger i have to ask that they sit in the back seat. the dealership was supposed to contact me to determine airbag replacement date and provide a loaner car if they could not replace the airbag in a timely manner. i have not been able to get through to the dealership and have not received a return call. i feel i have been patient but this has become a burden on me and my family and i would like the airbag to be fixed as soon as possible so i can use my vehicle as a family car as intended.

My vehicle, 2005 lexus es350 is equipped with front passenger airbag inflators produced by takata. as of today november 22, 2017, my vehicle is still not being recall by the manufacturing to have replace the defect airbag. also, my driver side backseat seatbelt is not hold on when latched in. i believe it is a safety that need to be fix. i am still using the vehicle for driving.
