Tl* the contact owns a 2019 land rover discovery. while driving various speeds, the vehicle lost power and/or failed to accelerate. in addition, the check engine and coolant warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to land rover carlsbad (5550 paseo del norte, carlsbad, ca 92008, (760) 494-5600) where it was diagnosed that the fuel ignition and spark plugs needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 8000662736. the contact requested the manufacturer buy back the vehicle. the failure mileage was 6,000.
This vehicle has a very unsafe condition when accelerating away from an intersection, whether stopped or at a low speed, there is a serious lag before acceleration kicks in and the vehicle accelerates. it's like the vehicle is waiting (way) too long to downshift and pull away, and wants instead to slooooooowly build speed which is very unsafe at intersections. the only alternative is to floor it, resulting in unsafe and jerky acceleration.
