When driving speedometer drops from. 65 to 20 was told catalytic converter is clogged needs replaced only has 66,000 the year is 2015
On the evening of july 22,2019 i was leaving targets parking lot put my vehicle in reverse and when i put in drive my 2015 kia soul took off. the rpms were the highest it could go going 40 miles p hour in a busy lot all i could was honk my horn. i tried the breaks putting in park and turning the key off. my wife and i were in shock. we hit the curb fly across 3 lanes of traffic the median and hit two cars. my wife was pinned there was white smoke in the cabin. people got her out fire dept came. my wife was transported to uci trama and i went back the next day to concerned for my wife rather than myself. wife had 8 broken ribs separated and a broken back myself 7 broken ribs and bleeding of the brain. one hour prior approx to this accident we were next store eating and when leaving to go to target the engine started making a loud clicking noise i tuned it off and waited a few mins tried again and still the same noise. then the 3rd time it was fine proceeded to target. all maintenance has been done and on time prior to this terrible accident. our lives have change dramatically
Drove up a hill for a delivery. car stalled half way up the hill. tried to restart car, when doing so & put the gears into drive the car rolled back some. with this, the engine & battery lights came on. tried to restart the car three or four more times. on the last attempt, the car started rolling backwards. put the car in park & turned off the ignition but the car wasn't stopping. in panic mode, didn't try to apply the emergency brakes. ended up hitting another vehicle with the rear of my vehicle. on top of the damage done to the rear of my vehicle & the other person's, the two passenger tires of my vehicle blew out.
Attempting to park: vehicle accelerated rapidly, brake failed to stop or do anything. vehicle jumped over tire stop then 8" mall walkway hitting building and store window.
A couple of months ago the car said we have a problem with the engine and with the cooling system kia had check it out and said nothing was wrong but it keeps going on it has a gas smell low push to do 70 on highway won't let me put on cruise control for long i can feel car ready to shake and stop needs oil all the time when i drive for 1 hr to work car starts to shake at a red light after i'm almost at work i changed battery on 3/10/19 i also changed the catalytic converters also brakes always have to change before there do on 3/15/19 have an appointment to change the flex on the car also because the oil was leaking on the engine it needed a seal and the top part i forgot what it's called replaced that's all i now for now
The vehicle stibility control light comes on when it want , which is the part of the (abs). the vehicle has been several times to resolve the problem with no luck. the light will go off when you turn off the vehicle. i do also hear a clicking noise from th driver side rear brake for couple of feet but went away. no codes present at all a cording to the dealership when they checked. doe to the photos which my wife and i have taken during the problem the dealership decided to check the auto. the wife and i have waited several hrs. at the dealership, but still no luck for the light or the clicking sound to come on. the wife and i are very unsatisfied with the results at this time. it seems like (replace the abs) control model should eliminate the problrm.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 kia soul. the contact stated that the steering column, shifter, and brakes failed to operate. as a result, the vehicle was involved in a side impact collision. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and then to the dealer. a police report was filed. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v736000 (steering); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. there were two injuries that required medical attention. the contact suffered from a cervical strain and mild thoracic facial strain. the failure mileage was approximately 11,000. parts distribution disconnect.
I was driving 35 mph on hwy us1, car in front of me rear ended the car in front of it. i placed foot on brake and didnt seem to be slowing quick enough. i then placed both feet on brake to stop and still hit the car involved in accident.
When approaching an intersection, the brakes failed on my wife's 2015 kia soul. she pressed the brake pedal several times, but they never pressurized. fortunately the airbags worked well, and she was not seriously injured in the accident. the driver and passenger in the other vehicle left in an ambulance. i tested the brakes once the vehicle was at the body shop, and they did not pressurize there either. the car is 9 months old, had roughly 9,000 miles on it, and has not had any mechanical work performed on it.
Car would not brake as it pulled into a parking spot. ended up stopping in a storefront. no significant visible damage. no airbags deployed. all three passengers (incl one 3 yr old) were completely unscathed. *tr
Low/soft brake pedal, the brake pedal goes almost to the floor before brakes engage. this car was purchased new but the brake pedal has a great amount of "travel" in it before the brakes stop the car. dealer refuses to acknowledge there is a problem with the brakes or to make repairs.
